Presenting the Big Ben Clock Tower, one of the world's most instantly recognizable landmarks. Standing at the northeast corner of the Palace of Westminster in London, England, the Big Ben Clock Tower was erected from 1843-1859 following a fire that burned down much of the original palace. The clock tower features classical design with a distinct gothic influence. The clockwork itself was designed by Edward John Dent shortly after construction of the tower began. E-Type Jaguar versus Classic Mini Cooper S Driving
Bicester, Oxfordshire:: Test drive two classic 1960s racing giants in one high-octane session with this E-type Jaguar verses Mini Cooper driving experience in Oxfordshire. Begin with a welcome introduction and safety briefing before receiving a circuit tour to get familiarised with track driving techniques and important racing lines. Once prepared, slide behind the driving seat of the iconic E-Type Jaguar for six high-speed miles of the Upper Heyford circuit, followed by a further six miles in a classic 1971 Mini Cooper S (one of only 1500 built). A certificate of participation is included to take home as a special memento. Availability: Runs on selected Fridays and Saturdays. The circuit is closed from early December to late February. Weather: Driving might be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain or high winds) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Please call the venue (if in any doubt). Duration: Expect to be at the circuit for up to two hours. Please arrive promptly to sign in (or risk missing the experience). Driving commences approximately 45 minutes after the booked start time. Numbers On Day: All in-car tuition is on a one-to-one basis. Briefings are held in groups of up to 30 people. There are likely to be other vehicles on the track at the same time. Spectators: Spectators are welcome and this is a family friendly venue with refreshments available. Other extra (chargeable) drives and passenger rides are available on the day subject to availability. Dress Code: Dress comfortably (and warmly in winter) with trousers, long sleeves and narrow, flat-soled shoes to negotiate pedals that are close together. Guidelines: Northbound, exit M40 at j10, turn onto B430 Ardley and Middleton Stoney. Follow black truck route signs to Heyford Park, pass the Ardley Waste Depot on the left and turn right to Upper Heyford. At T-junction, turn right onto Camp road, go over two roundabouts and turn next right turn into Heyford Park Gate House. Black truck route signs to Heyford Park lead you directly to the correct security gate. Go thr' Paragon Deliveries sign. Restrictions: Maximum weight is 18 stone, minimum height is 5'' and maximum height is 6'6''. A full British or international manual driving licence must be produced on the day in order to participate. Other Info: Each lap of this circuit is one and a half miles long. When booking expect to be offered the choice of buying a collision damage waiver at £20 to £40 additional charge. Please note there is no obligation to purchase this optional waiver.
