Dull. That’s sometimes the unfortunate truth when it comes to our skin in winter. It’s a combination of factors- lack of sunlight, drying wind, changeable nutrition- and we’ve got more cold months ahead. Even your get-fit resolution could wreck havoc on your skin with spot outbreaks, although prettily flushed skin and endorphin-fuelled smiles are just as likely. Wondering how to get back that glow, look healthy and restore your skin to it’s summertime glory? Drinking plenty of water is a no-brainer and the term ‘beauty sleep’ isn’t a myth. You can work out, yes, and change your skin routine to combat any adverse effects or you could fake it to make it. Like you would a tan.

The pursuit of a glow (all year round?) has sparked a wave of essential products to keep in your arsenal and whip out as a secret weapon. ‘Radiant,’ ‘illuminator’ and ‘highlighter’ are key terms and descriptions to look out for, besides ‘glow’, and you need to decide on liquid, stick, cream or compact. So what type of glow are you after? Rosy cheeks merely require a dash of cheek stain, while a sweep of highlighter across your cheek bones, around your eyes and down your nose will light your skin from within, how much depends on how heavy-handed you are. If it sounds a bit like contouring, that’s because it’s a similar technique without the different colours. We’d recommend lightening up for day and adding a little more after dark to really attract attention.

London Fashion Week just drew to an end and we are feeling so inspired by all the Street Style outfits we spotted that we decided to share the best trends with you.

The rainy weather was the perfect excuse to whip out oversized puffer jackets, from short and pink to long and black, nothing was too much.

On the dryer days, we saw a lot of faux fur, giving the animal rights protesters standing outside the shows little to complain about. And speaking of animals, fishnet tights made a huge comeback this season and are here to stay. They add a grunge touch to almost any outfit and are a great alternative to plain black tights.

We also spotted a ton of Japanese style prints. They come in all different forms such as letters, flowers or tiger prints so you’ll be sure to find your pick.

Finally, everyone knows fashion is used as a political vehicle and this season was no exception. The wave of women rights movements was truly felt through the tons of empowering tees that were unexpectedly added to even the most elegant outfits.

The 411: Founded in 2013 by Lou Booth and Keli Craig, two self confessed fashion savvy shopaholics, who had a dream to banish unsightly, tight, cheap hairbands that ruin even the most glamorous up-dos, in favour of a band for girls and women of all ages. Their bands are beautiful colours and styles that will take your hair to the next level!

Why You Need Popband: We all whip our hair up in a messy bun on the way to work when we're running out of time, but instead of it looking drab with basic hair ties, popband turns our hairstyles into something on trend and fashionable. Plus, they're super affordable and last a lot longer than your standard ties.

Our Fave Item: The biggest trend for AW16 is metallic, and Popband have a pack that fit this- their Hippy Chick.

At our LFW pop-up lounge event last week Popband provided some pieces for our goodie bags, and they went down a treat! Shop these tried and tested products to make your hair as stylish as your outfit...

Like they say, skirts accentuate the curves of a woman, making them look more feminine and chic – however, the best kind of skirts we know and have always sworn by are midi skirts. They are not too long and not too short and it’s why we think they are perfect for every season and a must have for your wardrobe.

You can style these with crop tops, graphic tees and even shirts, over heels or sneakers but before you whip them out of your wardrobe and head out the door, there are a few guidelines you need to follow! Below are quick lessons to help you master proportions, choose your accessories and find the right kind of skirt for your body type.

Aim for vertical stripes instead of horizontal, you don’t want to be looking wide and heavy on the bottom, do you? Complete the look with ankle strap sandals, but sneakers or heels look just fine as well!

Choose your footwear according to the occasion. But heels, no matter how small or big, really some length.

Find the right fit for your body shape, which means if you have a wide bottom, then a pencil skirt is a big no no. Instead, opt for a faired skirt, which allows your lower body to breathe!

Mix two prints with comfort but ensure that the bottom always carries the smaller print! There’s no two-ways about this!

Accessorise them good and bust out all your statement necklaces or chunky earrings depending on the occasion you’re getting ready for. Don’t forget to add a pop of colour to your lips!

Convinced? Look at our edit list below for an exciting collection of midis you just won’t be able to refuse.

Legally Blonde, the ultimate chick flick. Despite its outwards appearance of being a silly comedy, it gave us some really valuable advice. Like to go for the career you want, DNGAF what people think of you and most importantly, "bend and snap". Yes, ladies, you know the drill. Elle Woods, the queen of getting what she wants.

Here are 15 real-life scenarios that "bend and snap" work in...

1. When you want something for free.
Literally anything. Coffee, a drink, a baby monkey. Ok maybe not the last example, but you never know, limber limbs can get you far.

2. If you need to get out of something.
The "bend and snap" has worked for many a lady trying to get out of a parking fine.

3. When you want to show off your new bra.
Agent Provocateur sale? Spent that money you were meant to be saving on a really cute but impractical bra? Feel like you need to make the purchase worth it. *Bend and Snap*.

4. To salvage an embarrassing situation.
If you have rather clumsy tendencies then you'll be all too familiar with dropping/spilling things in public, on a frequent basis. That cute guy in Pret just saw you drop your croissant? "Bend and snap" too dazzle him so that he'll forget all about the dropped pastry.

5. Picking anything up
Squats ain't cute. "Bend and snap" is cute. No need to expand on this one really...

6. To slay the haterz
That iconic moment when Elle won her case and exclaimed "The rules of haircare are simple and finite. Any Cosmo girl would have known". Now imagine that scene, followed by a sassy AF "bend and snap". It's a more original version of the hair flick.

7. First impressions
Elle taught us to remember "that first impressions are not always correct", but also that they are important. I like to walk into a room and "bend and snap". People will never forget you if you do that. (Only in social situations, please don't do this in an interview)

8. To get someone's attention
That hottie at the bar not noticing you? Whip out the "bend and snap" and you'll get their attention in no time.

9. Misread a situation
Said something superrrrrr awkward? Like that you hate crocs to then notice the person you're talking to is wearing said offending item. Get out of the situation by bending and snapping. It'll relieve the tension.

10. To prove you still got 'it'
Reese Witherspoon (moment of appreciation for the mega babe) took to Instagram to celebrate Legally Blonde's 15th anniversary. She didn't disappoint, Reese shared a video of her doing the "bend and snap". It was amazing. It's a good move to whip out when you get a little bit older, just to show people that sass has no age limit.

11. As a departing FU
Quit your job? Trying your hardest to restrain from throwing all the papers on your desk up in the air on your last day? The "bend and snap" is the perfect alternative. Seemingly innocent, but also a great way to remind your colleagues how fab you are and what they're going to be missing.

12. Seeing your ex
The dreaded moment of bumping into the ex. As much as you want to literally run away/drop and roll/crawl out of the situation, it isn't socially acceptable. You know what is socially acceptable? Yup, bending and snapping. You'll walk away feeling proud that you resisted the urge to punch said ex, and they'll leave in pieces because your "bend and snap" was so fierce.

13. As an ode to Legally Blonde's anniversary
The "bend and snap" scene is one of the most surreal moments in film history. Weird but wonderful. On this splendid day, the film's 15th birthday, whip out the move as a little thanks to Elle.

14. When you're sh*t at dancing
Two left feet? Just "bend and snap" in continual repetitions, it actually turns out to be quite a good little jig.

15. Because you want to
Ok, so the "bend and snap" might not actually  be appropriate in most real life situations but who cares? Not us.

You know that friend or co-worker everyone has who loves latching on to interesting characters just so they can up their street cred? It don’t matter if they’re young or old, dumb or smart; they just gotta have money, looks, fame or quirk.

Sure, Karl Lagerfeld is talented but given his habit of sidling up to random media darlings to further the Chanel brand we can’t help but wonder: is he a kiss arse?

Earlier this week, 15-year-old Willow Smith rocked up to the Chanel AW16 show at PFW with her ma Jada Pinkett Smith wearing a space themed catsuit and sporting blue flicked eyeliner.

The Whip My Hair singer is the newest in a long line of Chanel ambassadors and even though Karl’s interest in this particular celebrity offspring began in 2014 when he photographed her for V magazine, we struggle to see the similarities between all the other Chanel muses he’s uh, nurtured.

Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid may very well be the It Girls of the decade, Cara Delevingne was pretty much pounced on by every fashion house on the planet, Lily Rose-Depp is Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis’ kid and Kristen Stewart was in Twilight, which Karl probably really, really likes.

Personally, the most surprising of Karl’s Chanel muses to date is Lily Allen whom he put in that “Cocoon bag" campaign back in 2009 'cause he thinks she looks like Gabrielle Chanel.

Any thoughts on who'll be the next Chanel muse under Karl's leadership? Comment below to let us know!

There's no denying that Harrison Ford is one of the coolest actors of our lifetime. From playing whip wielding archeologist Indiana Jones, to the captain of the Millennium Falcon Han Solo, Harrison will go down in history as one of the greats.

We've always been impressed with Harrison's dress sense, and here we see a unique take on the casual jean and suit jacket combo.

Opting for a polo shirt rather than a standard shirt keeps the outfit casual and unique, and we love the flower in his lapel.

Scroll right to WATCH Han Solo's first ever appearance in the original Star Wars trilogy and shop below to steal his style!
