We’ve got to give it to Gap. Getting some of our favourite instagrammers to rock their rainbow stripe styles as part in their #12daysofcrazystripe campaign pre Christmas was a stroke of genius. Monica Ainley teamed her knit with white jeans and a khaki coat; @andfinally_ founders Anna Vitiello and Florrie Thomas’ cropped shots featured eye-catching jewellery and a beret; while the @belleandbunty girls wore theirs with mini skirts. Not only did the reinvigorated brand succeed in pushing rainbow stripes back on our radar with stellar styling inspiration, they also created this winter’s it pattern.

Sadly Gap’s crazy stripe styles are largely sold out but you’ll find that plenty of your favourite brands and retailers have been lining up to push this colourful trend forward. From trophy tops to dazzling dresses, standout shoes and even activewear and swimwear- there are so many ways to lift your cold weather wardrobe and your spirits. It’s worth noting that the description ‘rainbow’ has been used rather loosely to encompass all bold and kaleidoscopic multi-colour combinations. And despite that, these stripes are just as timeless as their classic Breton counterparts and surprisingly versatile too. Trust us.

Women have been wearing trousers for around a century. Largely due to increased responsibility after the war, we could finally take off our skirts. Feminism has been deemed one of the many words of the year this year on the back of #MeToo movement. I guess it comes as no surprise therefore that our trousers have got a little more powerful too. The side stripe is being thrown on luxe joggers and flares adding a little more structure to trousers. This look from #Topshop (image from their Instagram) is just to die for. Chic and fun and, well, powerful.

@gal_gadot on Instagram is killing it in this outfit. I'm not sure where she got these trousers from - I'd usually go to #Zara or #Mango for a piece like this. I love that she's made this totally casj with #Converse and a bomber jacket. Simple but effortlessly cool, the life of an Instagram girl.

Bring on the Autumn and make way for knitwear. Our jumpers have been buried at the bottom of our wardrobes for the last few months but are slowly reappearing. As the conkers start to fall off the trees, the cold weather is looming and so is our need for knits!

A classic, the stripe knit is one of our faves, it never gets old and will look great layered at work, on the weekends or a quick Autumn escape. From the original stripe black and white sweater to an asymmetric stripe from River Island, you are guaranteed to find something you like!

Find our selection of stripe knits below or search on Shopcade for more styles.

It's finally time for our end-of-the-week compilation of the best celebrity outfits we saw in the past week!

Here are our top 5 picks.

(P.S.: Once you're done seeing the looks, you can shop them all below!)

Alia Bhatt in denim on denim
Alia rocked a light denim cami top and jeans, which she finished with a long white jacket and black slip-ons. The definition of stylish while travelling!

Sayami Kher in lehenga + crop top
We always love a little Indo-western sartorial magic, so we obviously adore this lehenga + crop top combo that Sayami rocked at a recent event.

Jennifer Winget in embellished jeans
This outfit was the perfect combination of chic and funky, in our opinion—a crisp white shirt with an elegant gold stripe down the middle, embellished jeans, and classic nude pumps.

Taapsee Pannu in a striped dress
Taapsee has caught our eye ever since her superb performance in Pink, and she gave us major nautical vibes in this striped dress.

Kareena Kapoor Khan in olive green
Oh, mama mia! It's no secret that Kareena's been slaying us with her maternity style lately, but this outfit was on a whole new level. Bebo looked absolutely smouldering in this olive green maxi with a thigh-high slit! And we love that she kept the footwear nude so that the focus would be on the dress.

Nargis recently appeared in a classic back-to-school attire for Banjo promotions. What can we say, we are suckers for classic clothing and anything that involves skirts, collared tops and sneakers immediately becomes out fave!

To keep it simple, she tied her hair up in a bun and proudly sported a studded finger ring which we believe compliments the outfit to its fullest. Not to mention, the stripes on her outfit is what gives us major inspiration to rock that outfit like a modish college girl would.

This is a major fashion inspiration right here right now, guys. Go through our list below to find similar high street outfits that you can make yours overnight. Yes, it's possible.

We've all had those moments where we're in a hurry while doing our makeup, and we end up messing up because of that. It's super frustrating to spoil your makeup and have to start over again when you're already late, isn't it?!

Well, there's no need to fret anymore! Here are some genius tips and tricks to help you fix makeup mistakes without ruining your makeup completely or having to start all over again.

Mascara on your nose/eyelid
Accidentally managed to smear mascara somewhere other than your eyelashes? No worries. Simply wait for it to dry completely, then brush it off with a spoolie/clean mascara brush. Easy peasy!

Uneven eyeliner wing
Got one eye's eyeliner down pat, but the other one doesn't look quite right? Rather than taking it off and re-doing it, use some concealer or foundation on an angular brush and clean up the wing.

Eyeshadow fallout on your face
This can happen easily if you're using a dark eyeshadow, and have already done your base. But don't worry—simply grab a fluffy powder brush (the biggest one you can find), dip it generously into translucent loose powder, and use that to brush away the offending flecks of eyeshadow from your face.

Overapplication of bronzer or blush
Sometimes, it's easy to get carried away while applying your bronzer/blush, and end up with a stripe of brown or pink across your face. But don't fret, because there's an easy way to fix this! Simply grab a damp BeautyBlender or your powder brush, and blend away the extra product.

Stripes are a wardrobe staple every season and reappear every year on the catwalks with a subtle twist. This year the typical horizontal stripe is still very much in fashion but we're also seeing lots of vertical stripes on the scene. If you wanna change up your stripe game or maybe even become the referee then look no further...
