A new season means it's time for a little wardrobe update. And what better way to start than by refreshing the shoe section of your closet. A little seasonal cleaning is in order before purchasing any new styles so throw out, donate or hand over anything that hasn't served you well and keep the shoes that you can't wait to wear again.

If you're noticing any significant losses, take your notepad out and describe your needs. You may need to add monochrome options, high-heels or comfy slides to build the perfect SS18 capsule wardrobe.

Maybe you want to adopt one of the statement trends of the season and choose a style embellished with feathers or sequins? Velvet slippers are in and so are wrap fronts and delicate laces. Whatever your style, don't worry we have you covered.

Which shoes should I buy this summer?

We recommend choosing a pair of flat slides that you can dress down with a sexy slip dress. Try an embellished version with feathers or knots and wear them with a pair of straight-leg jeans.

This is also a great look to pack for festival season and for all those mini summer getaways; perfect or daytime strolls and evening drinks alike.

A sandal is an obvious investment for summer, but try a twist on the classic. Chunky flatform soles, ankle wraps and block heels are all set to be huge this season, so try something new and elevate your summer line-up to new heights.

Think Clueless, think slip dresses, think the nineties or noughties, whichever way you lived through that decade. The minimal strappy black heels are a celeb favourite! So why shouldn’t it be a go-to heel for you too? Try these heels with your slip dresses to get the complete nineties look. If you’re feeling very nostalgic, you can even try butterfly clips, but maybe that would be too much? Still it’s your call! #nineties #fashion #strappyheels #heels #sandals #retro #trend #style

First slip ons and now slip dresses. Loved by the off-duty model looks, slip dresses are the easiest go-to party dress for this season. Opt for silk ones for a sexy look or cotton ones for a casual look. Either way this dress is easy to wear and easy to style! #dress #slip #slipdress #style #fashion #trend #streetstyle

If there's one trend that should never go out of style that is comfortable looks. It's essential to any outfit to feel that it moves along with the body and facilitates our lives instead of being constricting and well... a burden. Which is why when pyjamas became an official outerwear trend there must have been a universal sigh of relief heard across the world of women tired of their binding and uncomfortable clothing.

Loungewear worn as everyday clothing became a massive trend including the very popular slip dress, the bralette and corset. But there's something innately brilliant about sporting pyjamas as an outfit because in a way it resembles a more relaxed version of a business suit. Inspired by the 20's and Coco Chanel this trend shows no signs of slowing down and we're completely on board. Opt for a cover-up or a kimono for starters as an outerwear and then don a full head-to-toe pyjama look taking cues from Olivia Palermo, Rihanna, and Gigi Hadid to name a few.

Browse through our gallery for pyjama-specific inspiration and then shop your favourite looks in our exclusive edit below!

As much as we hate to admit the early 00's era of Paris Hilton in pink Juicy track suits, double denim x2 Justin and Britney, Christina Aguilera's dirty braided locks, oversized hoops and motorcross gear loving songstress Pink are all trending for 2017. Even though some of those trends especially worn in the early 00's period make us cringe slightly, incorporating a few items here with a 2017  approach will work wonders for your wardrobe this season!

Read on for the latest throwback staples of the season!

1. Velour Track Suit Ensemble

Before the rise of athleisure the velour tracksuit was a no-fail staple. Combined with an oversized bag, a Starbucks venti Latte and a miniature dog it was the celebrity uniform adorned by most starlets of the time. Many years after it's inevitable demise the velour tracksuit is having a come back. Vetement's collaboration with Juicy Couture for SS17 should have given us a hint. Kanye's YEEZY and Chloe are also adding this naughts staple into their collections. You can probably thank or cringe at Rihanna and Kylie Jenner for putting it back on the Insta Fash pack radar.

2. Trucker Cap

In the heyday of paparazzi and celebrity culture which was the early naughts they had to be accompanied by some much needed streetwear and paparazzi-proof attire. Black sunnies have always been favourable but headgear is also quite integral. For the early 00's that attire included the trucker cap. The ubiquitous accessory for every 20-something celebrity from Pharrell to Ashton Kutcher or Britney Spears. It was Hedi Slimane who resurfaced the the polarizing accessory for Saint Lauren's SS16 show. Nowadays, Gigi Hadid and Kylie and Kendall Jenner have all been spotted with the infamous cap.#2e2e2e">

3. Hot Pink

As fashion recycles every 20 years the early naughts adopted the early 80's trend of pastel pink. When it came to the early naughts Paris Hilton not only brought the flirty colour back but basically built her brand by sporting bold non apologetic fuchia-pink. Around the same time that Legally Blonde premiered by the way. And even though we have been drowning in pastel pink for the past few seasons you can attribute the rise of bold pink to Ballenciaga's SS17 collection. Just wondering when Paris Hilton's come back is due?

4. Motorcross Gear

The rise of early aughties hip-hop is undeniable and it quickly infused the fashion runways too. From Pharell Williams, to Pink, EVE, or Christina Aguilera's Dirrty video and most rappers of the time donning heavy leather tracksuits and jackets usually styled with braided hair and lots of 'bling' or 'bling-bling' if you're truly old - school. Nowadays, labels like Maison Margiela, Alyx Studio, Supreme and of course Rihanna's Fenty x Puma SS18 collection at NYFW are completely in racing-inspired gear mode.

5. Candy Coloured Sunglasses

Colorful sunglasses were everywhere in early 00's and adored by women and men equally. From Sisqo to Justin Timberlake Eve and the Olsen Twins (they've gone a long way we know), all 00's stars were sporting this trend. Nowadays you'll find the likes of Gigi Hadid and her entourage in similar rose coloured glasses.

6. Oversized Hoops

The oversized hoops are a symbol of RnB and Hip Hop music. From Lauren Hill, to Missy Elliot, and EVE it's the accessory that goes hand in hand with a bandana, baseball cap or sleek back pony tail. In the aughts the trend went more mainstream and was adored by many including Victoria Beckham. These days, you can see anyone from Kendall Jenner, to the Hadid sisters or Rihanna rocking those giant gold hoops from designers like Area or minimal ones from Lombardi and Nandi Naya.

7. Fishnets

We're not saying you should go full-on Avril Lavigne and "Hollaback Girl"-era Gwen Stefani, necessarily, but there's definitely something about this pop version of post punk fashion that us bubbling back up all over social media. Usually worn underneath low rise wide legged ripped jeans and peaking from the waist and calves. And of course, the fishnet top is a great way to add some interest under a slip dress—or just over a bandeau bra, for a fun flirty look.

8. Pointy slingback pumps

You can pinpoint this trend to the late 90's who resurfaced the super pointy kitten heel. It was in the early 00's though that the silhouette became more relaxed and transformed into a more elegant and feminine slingback pump with a mid-height lift. Doesn't Sophia Coppola's outfit look truly timeless?

There you have it! The eight 00's trends that are coming back in a major way. Which ones will you be sporting this season? Check out our exclusive edit of all the items that will give you that extra aughts edge!

Ice cream chic is a now thing and well before gelato season. Fashion's affinity for the pastel pile-up from the cones to the runway took the form of head-to-toe violet at Victoria Beckham, lemon sorbet at Hermés and pistachio hues at Sies Marjan and it's our Instacrush of the week.

At Helmut Lang, Shayne Oliver took blushing pink and morphed it into its adversary: fetishwear, while Raf Simons at Calvin Klein took baby blue babydolls and turned them into a Rosemary's Baby sinister version. This playfulness aesthetic came about at a year that yearns for aggressive celebration. Winter's metallics, feathers, glitter, rainbows and all round sparkle surrounding a Buz Luhrmann movie set, is the perfect testament to the celebratory moto.

Feel good fashion also was translated into pencil skirts and sheer layers that we can wiggle and shimmy in. Our staples like our trench coats, faux fur coats slip dresses and boots are receiving the joyful reincarnation of their own. Embellishments, diamonds, broaches, and lavish bandanas that would make any fashion girl sigh.

Stockholm Fashion Editor and street style extraordinaire Jeanette Madsen is an ice cream hue aficionado. She has the engaging ability to effortlessly combine pastel shades and evading the baby connotations at the same time.

Even though Pantone's 2017 color of choice was " Greenery", a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade symbolising new beginnings the truth of the matter is, the year felt like it was dedicated to millenial pink. Actually there's never been a year so chromatically in sync with Elle Woods wardrobe - Ever.

But, as all Barbie things come to an end, Pantone's 2018 Color of the Year will be "Ultra Violet, a "spiritual, cosmic" purple that "communicates originality ingenuity and visionary thinking that point us toward the future".

As predicted this already caused a riot with Ultra Violet’s relative hue Lilac causing a major craze. The fresh pastel shade was everywhere all over  the SS18  shows, from Victoria Beckham and Tibi at New York Fashion Week, before heading over to Emporio Armani at London Fashion Week and Céline in Paris.

So how do you wear the ice cream shade with confidence? This season it’s all about keeping it paired back with clean lines. Try it on a sharp boutique pantsuit, a see-through blouse and a simple slip dress. The head-to-toe look is very bold so if you feel a bit unsure opt for a few accessories here and there like strappy sandals, a statement bag or sunnies.

Are you ready to immerse yourself in head-to-toe Ultra Violet? Scroll down below and shop your favourite styles from our edit!

The allure of wearing lingerie as outerwear is nothing new, but as we transcend into Spring the most popular trend of last season is emerging yet again: the Spring slip dress. Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid and Selena Gomez welcomed the sexy throwback trend from the 90s without fail. Likewise, in the 1990’s Andy McDowell, Rachel from Friends and pretty much every starlette of the time sported this very easy to incorporate trend. Its popularity stems from its versatile nature.

An ivory floor length slip can make for a wondrous wedding dress, a red slip dress can look amazing on a night out while a black slip worn with a white tee and a pair of sneakers is your ultimate daywear go-to!

When it comes to styling layering a piece of fabric (plain white t-shirt, blouse, shirt) is not only chic but very practical too. It's one thing having a strap fall when worn as lingerie at home it's quite another if that happens while working or commuting crammed in the tube. That multitasking white t-shirt lets the slip stay in place whilst providing cover.

For that extra piece of layer wear it over a slogan hoodie that will elevate your style know-how while keeping you warm at the same time.

Just around Springtime, we all think of a little weekend retreat. It's the perfect way to have some fun and relax without breaking the bank. So now you've booked the flights, and can't wait to enjoy your newly reserved Airbnb or hotel room. But, before all of that, you need to go through the tedious task of packing. Unfortunately, packing for a quick getaway might be more daunting than a longer trip as you have to fit all of your essentials in a small travel bag. In other words, packing smart and making the most out of limited space is of the essence.

Here are the five essentials you'll need for a quick getaway:

CLOTHES

Take advantage of an app like AccuWeather and check the following 7 days. Then, you can plan ahead for the exact outfits you'll need instead of guessing if you'll need a coat for example or a light denim jacket. Open your closet and choose your favourite day and slip dress, shorts, t-shirts, and sleepwear.

SHOES

It's true that many times we tend to pack items that we don't even take out of the suitcase and that usually involves high stilettos that are too uncomfortable for holiday life. Instead, go for a pair of sliders if you're going to a warmer climate or trainers. Try smart pointy flats, ancient Greek sandals or a pair of your comfiest mid-heel ankle boots.

SWIMWEAR

If you are going to a summer holiday resort, you should pack at least two pairs of bathing suits. Try a bikini and a one piece for variety. Pack a sarong wrap or a comfy skirt that you can sport to the nearby cafe after your morning dip.

ACCESSORIES

Regardless of the climate go for a pair of classic black sunnies with a good UV filter, and add a super stylish and practical sunhat. We absolutely love the woven straw sunhat that you can buy upon your arrival. There's no need to pack a hat in a confined space that will only get squashed in the end.

BAGS

As for bags, go for a simple beach bag (the straw version is more classic while you can also go for a plastic edition which is on trend and more waterproof). Pack a small clutch for your evening outings and a cross body bag for sight-seeing and roaming the undiscovered city. Ready to start packing? Shop all of the essentials from our expert edit below!

After the recent fashion week shows in Paris, we noticed a trend happening in street style that relieves the burdens of a stressful week. What was it? Silk robe coats! What’s more, these luxe pieces were more often than not being paired with a T-shirt and jeans—and it was incredibly cool. This trend follows in the path paved by bralettes, corsets and of course the slip dress being worn out of the bedroom and into broad daylight.

This underwear as outerwear trend or more specifically this private-wear goes public fixation has been taking place for quite a while now. From Madonna's cone bras and corsets to Rihanna's robe or pyjama look. Since now the mere mortals have caught on this seductive trend more designers are producing robes meant both for indoors and at a glamorous party.

From Etro to a plethora of vibrant prints and colours at Roberto Cavalli to botanical garden inspiration at Alberta Ferretti or pure Americana vibes at Elie Saab. Then again you can never go wrong with a Coachella staple: The kimono.

Whatever your style this season have a look at our exclusive edit below and you'll find the perfect cover-up for you!

You've seen them on Kaia Gerber, the Hadid sisters can't get enough. It’s the ultimate winter staple and comeback item from the 90’s the era of grunge and tea dresses. It’s the easy way to toughen up any girly outfit and infuse it with some much-needed edge. Even before the Chicago grunge era of Nirvana and Courtney Love combat boots such as Dr. Martens, were causing head waves across the country with the punk rock of movement in all its vinyl, PVC and fishnet glory.

For 2018, the vibe is muted and nuanced. Although we may see lots of touches from the previously mentioned punk trends, the styling now has an amazing way of looking elegant and put together though maintaining that tough, rocker edge.

Combat boots are also surprisingly complimentary to all shapes and sizes. They come with that tiny rubber heel that gives a few cheeky inches to a petite figure. Also, it has a very clever slimming effect. The chunkiness of the boot actually juxtaposes to the calf and elongates the leg as a result. Nothing wrong with that!

Go for a full 90's resurgence look by sporting your combat boots with a frilly tea dress, minimal make-up and a knit cardigan.

Try a student look and style your boots with a pair of denim shorts, a trench coat and a cool red beret.

Opt for an 80's look by adding a LBD and fishnets.

For an up-to-date take on the trend, mix a slip dress under an oversized knit and finish the look with a pair of white Dr. Martens.
