Aside from your charming personality and your widest smile, a killer outfit is arguably the most important thing to bring to a date. And if it's a Valentine's Day date, the stakes are even higher. Your outfit is not only going to boost your confidence, but it'll also have your date's eyes glued to you all night!

If you are facing some trouble finding this perfect outfit, then you have come to the right place. We have put together five foolproof outfit ideas that can suit pretty much any occasion! Whether it's a casual evening or a fancy affair, you just might find something to suit your needs.

1) A romper:
A romper can be easy, low-fuss, and still be high fashion if you need it to be. Opt for a tailored black or white piece for something upscale, or tone it down with prints and sandals for a casual date.

2) A midi skirt:
This skirt can again be made extra glam but with minimal effort. Pair any midi skirt, whether fitted or loose, with a white tank top and some heels. Don't forget a cute little structured bag to amp it up!

3) Jeans and heels:
Denim is something that you can pretty much never go wrong with. Put on your comfiest skinny jeans, and tuck a loose printed blouse or top into it. Pair this with some black pumps and an oversized bag for a casual glam look.

4) Culotte pants:
Culottes are on trend this season, and this look can fit any date vibe. Pair it with a fitted crop top for some contrast, and tie up shoes (both heels and flats work) for some eyecatching goodness.

5) A shirt dress:
For another easygoing yet chic piece, you can put on a shirt dress with a waistbelt to add some shape to your look. Whether paired with sandals and no makeup or a statement lip and strappy heels, you'll have a winner on your hands no matter what.

We at Shopcade HQ are suckers for timeless classics, and admittedly the shirt dress is one of our all-time favourites. Aside from the fact that it's a regular among our B-town divas, it is a garment that can be styled in various ways and works for every kind of look, making it a true closet keeper. Following are three of our favourite ways to style it.

With thigh-high boots!
A shirt dress can be formal when you want it and informal when you want it! To make it evening-wear worthy, try rocking that dress with thigh-high leather boots and a belt across your waist. Classic!

With statement jewellery
A simple shirt dress can be transformed with some chunky jewellery. Wear a metal necklace around your collar for some bling and rock that gorgeous dress!

With printed layers
If your dress is plain and boring and making you look like a Plain Jane, add some texture to your outfit. Later your shirt dress with a printed jacket or scarf for an added quirk. Try it out!

If you're liking these looks, then do have a look at our special edit down below!

It seems like the colours of this week are navy and black, because they are everywhere! We love how the arrival of dark hues amongst the celebrities' wardrobes has subtly announced that fall is officially here.

Anushka Sharma has been killing it lately with her outfits during the promotions of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, and we loved this one the most so far—a sheer, printed navy maxi dress from the famous Tommy x Gigi collection.

Next, we saw a chic navy jumpsuit on Kalki. It was fun to see her in something more formal and muted, since she's usually seen in floral and vividly coloured outfits!

We got majorly cute vibes from Saiyami Kher's outfit—the curly-haired actress chose to wear an adorable little chequered dress with a pair of classic, strappy black heels.

Shruti Haasan is known for loving all things rock 'n' roll when it comes to her sartorial choices, so it was no surprise to see her rocking a pair of black leather pants. We love how she went for an all-black combo!

And last but most definitely not the least (we swear we're just going in alphabetical order; we love them all equally!) is Sonam Kapoor. She chose to flaunt yet another Bhane piece, this time a dark blue shirt dress with some bold over-the-thigh leather boots. We just remembered why we call Sonam the queen of fashion!

So, you've got yourself a new boyfriend whom you're head over heels in love with, and it's time to officially meet his friends for the first time!

Meeting a new boyfriend's friends for the first time is important—these are his closest people, and their opinion about you definitely matters. So it can be understandable stressful to deal with such a situation.

But don't worry, we gotchu! Here are some tips to nail that first meeting, and make your beau's buddies love you.

Try to be relaxed
Take a few deep breaths and tell yourself that they're ultimately just people! Potential new friends, that's it. It'll help you be yourself.

Make it a drinks plan
A sit-down lunch or formal dinner makes it harder for you to relax and get to know his friends, so keep the situation casual. Meet over a few drinks. Everyone (including you) will be more chilled out, and a couple of drinks always help people get friendly.

Dress comfortably
In a situation that already involves some amount of stress, there's nothing worse than having the added problem of your outfit bugging you because it's uncomfortable! So dress stylish but comfy, and don't go too OTT.

Ask your boyfriend about their interests
It can be helpful to be armed with some basic knowledge of what each of his friends are interested in—you can engage them in conversation by bringing up these topics as you can be sure they'll want to discuss them. But be careful, and don't bring it up unless you have some knowledge about the topic as well.

Be yourself
While it's important for these people to like you, you don't have to pretend to be someone else for this. Just be yourself, make an effort to be friendly, and hope for the best!

Trends come and go but some favourites remain in our hearts and wardrobe because of their uniqueness; and we’re here to reveal to you the biggest trends of the season and why we think these are keepers.

Off-shoulder everything
From New York to Paris to India, off-the-shoulder tops and dresses are one of the biggest trends of 2016. Undoubtedly, these are one of the easiest garments to wear and not only do they look chic but also help you battle the heat with style. Best of all, these are classy silhouettes which you can invest in without thinking twice because they will never go out of style. If you don’t own these already, you may want to give in to the hype and make some priceless investments.

Trainers For Life
Gone are the days when dresses looked good only with a pair of heels. Not only are trainers unbelievably comfortable, they are also one of the biggest style trends this year. You can wear these under almost anything from dresses, skirts, denims, pantsuits to trousers and you won’t make a fashion blunder. Add a touch of quirk and include a patterned or printed trainer for a unique look.

Activewear
Whether you’re travelling or just going to work, a few subtle elements from your gym ensemble can prove quite comfortable and exciting. If casual, chic and modish is your favourite combination; chances are you’re already a master at styling yoga pants with elegant crop tops, shirts, pumps or even classy statement jewellery. Identify this trend and get prepared to make it a part of your everyday life by shopping some of our fav yoga pants from down below.

Bomber jackets
Embroidered, printed or monotone, if you do not own one in your wardrobe, you’re losing the fashion game. Everyone is wearing these and not only can you style them with denims but also rock them on skirts, sneakers or heels. Stay chic and invest in bomber jackets and we promise it will be the best fashion decision you’d make. Shirtdress for all seasons What’s better than a gorgeous shirt?

A shirtdress
Minimal and so fresh, a shirtdress has become a must-have in every wardrobe. It’s a perfect combination of formal and casual and we think this trend is here to stay. Team it up with a leather belt, a statement necklace, a bowtie or a pair of good old heels and you’re ready for any event – formal or informal. Give it a try and we’re sure you won’t regret it.

Kangana Ranaut is constantly giving us @fashgoals. On a recent press appearance, the lady looked cool AF.

Her mantra: Why wear one shirtdress when you can wear two? So she threw an long gillet-like shirt over a pinstriped dress. Choice of accessories? A pair of brown brogues and glasses 'casually' placed atop the shirt.

Steal her look because wow!

Now that we're well into May, it's time to rebuild your summer wardrobe! Many of us tossed out old, reliable pieces during our spring cleaning frenzy, because they were outdated, too worn, or just plain tired out. So naturally, we need to replace them with new classics!

In my top 30 dresses for summer, you'll definitely find something you're missing. A few key dresses not to miss: a striped number, a breezy shirtdress, a slinky slip dress, a casual maxi, and a black and white athleisure piece.

You know what we love about Sundays? Endless flutes of champagne and the non-stop chatter. So, what’s the perfect outfit for the occasion? We give you a few options:

A-line dress + Wedges:
While bodycons looks hot as hell when worn on a night out, they’re not exactly the most comfortable choice for when you want to hit the buffet spread. An A-line dress provides ample breathing space and looks girly all the same. Wedges, because you don’t want to spill too much of that sangria.

Full circle:
Because that’s just the epitome of girly, isn’t it? Plus, the styling options are a plenty. Opt for a sexy bralet or your boyfriend’s oxford shirt.

Ruffled top + Jeans:
The best way to work your jeans in a super feminine fashion. Bling it on with big earrings and nice tote.

Shirt dress:
That’s if you’re in a slightly more androgynous mood. Plus, you can always cinch it with a belt.

Flared jeans + sheer blouse:
No explanations needed.

For some brunch-ready outfits, turn to our edit below!
