You know you’re blooming in pure optimism when head-to-toe yellow is not only encouraged but considered one of the best selling trends for this summer. The great news is that yellow miraculously compliments tanned skin and extremely fair tones as well. Let's just take a moment to think of the big 'yellow' moments of this year. From Beyonce's infamous Cavalli (when she's Lemonading, of course) Emma Stone in La La Land or Emma Watson in Beauty and the Beast. But yellow is not only a big Hollywood hit (although it does remind us of gold, so Oscars and Golden Globes). The shade featured on the S/S 17 runways at Acne Studios, Chloé, Mulberry and Jil Sander. It's also very popular day wear. Let's look at the key ways to wear yellow this summer!

Yellow Romantic

If you want to emulate the ultimate European summer day outfit, look no further than the mustard yellow day dress. It is elegant and comfortable enough to walk around and discover the city. Its perfect companion is a straw basket bag and a pair of sleek and comfy mules. Finish the look with a pair of oversized sunnies for the ultimate Italian actress goes incognito look.

Yellow Blend

For the yellow sceptic, we have a great solution. Opt for the biggest trend, yellow wide legged pants, and style them with a muted colour palette top if you want to ease into the yellow trend (white, black. eggshell). If you're feeling bolder tie in the yellow with a completely unexpected and oh-so-optimistic colour like ciel blue (check Leandra Medine's version in the gallery) or a bright purple or fuchsia. Finish your look with a similar colour high heel sandal and an uber cool mini clutch.

Yellow Gingham

Why do one trend this summer when you can have two? The romanticism of the gingham pattern beautifully pairs with the pure zest for life of the yellow and the two can create some super cool outfits. From an off the shoulder top, mini summer dress, a scarf. bag or even a little blazer. Pair them with white denim jeans, sandals, oval sunnies and a basket bag. Your summer day outfit is ready.

Vintage Yellow Glam

There's an undeniable power in yellow dresses it's not by chance that most stars opt for this colour when posing on the red carpet. Who can forget Rene Zellweger in 2001 Oscars, wearing vintage Jean Desses, Michelle Williams in that gorgeous ruffle gown by Vera Wang in 2006 or Alicia Vikander's custom made Louis Vuitton at last years Oscars? Try a maxi yellow slip dress with tousled hair red lip and gold accessories. Pair the dress with high heels and a chic clutch for the perfect summer going out look.

Trousers and tops with jackets are a standard winter outfit, but we say that's boooring! For those days when you're feeling girly but still want a winter-appropriate outfit (shoutout to you Delhi gals—we know how chilly it can get!), a skater dress is a perfect go-to. You might instantly think of the skater dress as a summer item, but it can actually work perfectly for the winter too. Here's how.

Wear a long-sleeved skater dress
This'll make your dress more winter-appropriate than a shorter sleeved dress.

Add a scarf
If your neck still feels cold though your arms are covered by your long sleeves, a scarf is the perfect solution to pair with your dress.

Add a turtleneck under the dress
If your skater dress is sleeveless, wear a turtleneck under it. It's the perfect way to adapt the slip-dress-over-turtleneck trend if you don't have a slip dress.

Wear a trench coat or a bomber jacket over it
Bomber jackets add a touch of sportiness to a girly skater dress, whereas trench coats are great to add a more polished touch to it.

Wear leggings or tights underneath
A short skater dress looks adorable with tights underneath, and the tights help keep your legs warm too. Two birds with one stone!

Pair it with ankle boots
Ankle boots are the quintessential winter accessory that pair perfectly with skater dresses and leggings.

Maybe working on Monday is not something to look forward to, but Man Crush Monday totally is! Bollywood's hottest boys have left us drooling this week, and we're so thankful to the Instagram gods for it. Here's this week's roundup -

1) Virat Kohli:
It took us a minute to tear our gaze away from his gorgeous brown eyes, but we did eventually get to noticing our favourite sportsman's new haircut. And we think it's chic as hell!

2) Kunal Kapoor:
We only recently found out about Kunal Kapoor's role in upcoming film Dear Zindagi, and we've been super excited! He shared a still from the film earlier this week, looking fine as hell in a classic grey checkered shirt and a perfect man bun.

3) Varun Dhawan:
Keeping it funky in a printed sweatshirt and jeans, Varun took to spending some quality time with kids on Children's Day today. How adorable!

4) Shahid Kapoor:
You probably know by now how much we at Shopcade HQ love a good suit, and our obsession this week has been Shahid Kapoor. He shared a picture of his look at the Lux Golden Rose Awards, which left us just a little bit weak in the knees.

5) Sidharth Malhotra:
He has been travelling around New Zealand lately, and we love that he's been documenting his trip! Seems like he's neck deep in the autumn aesthetic, sporting a lovely statement scarf over his otherwise neutral outfit. Safe travels, Sid!

We at the Shopcade HQ love a good throwback and are huge Bollywood buffs, so we figured why not combine the two and write something everyone would relate to? The 2000s had some truly unique and iconic Bollywood fashion trends that we are all guilty of having sported, amirite? Don't lie, we know it all! So here are our favourite 2000s fashion trends from Bollywood movies.

Shararas (Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai)
This movie brought us some quintessentially 2000s trends, like the skinny scarf dupatta, flared pants used as salwars, and of course the infamous sharara from the Shamita Shetty song "Sharara Sharara".

Patiala salwar + tee (Jab We Met)
Kareena Kapoor's Geet is probably one of the most popular Bollywood characters in history, and with good reason! The effervescent Punjabi kudi is well known for popularising the combination of the patiala salwar with a long t-shirt.

Sexy bodysuit + miniskirt (Dhoom 2)
Aishwarya Rai in Dhoom 2 was not only adorably naive, but also super sexy in the cutout bodysuits she rocked with miniskirts. So hot!

Shopcade caught up with blogger Charuta of Moda Yalda to get a low down on 5 accessories to rock this fall.

1. Statement sunglasses
One should always invest in a statement piece as it transforms a plain jane boring outfit to a chic outfit in a matter of seconds.

2. Silk scarf
Ditch those knits this fall. A printed silk scarf will add class to any outfit in an instant.

3. Army boots
Army boots are the prefect fall accessories. Pair them with jeans or shorts or skirts or dresses. The possibilities are innumerable.

4. A statement bag
Fall is the time when weather constantly changing. Sometimes its cold and breezy and the other the sun is shinning. So a big statement bag to carry your clothing layers is perfect

5. Statement Leather choker
We started with tattoo chokers and we have seen velvet chokers, lace chokers but the new "it" choker is the leather choker. a perfect accessory for fall

We've spotted a new trending colour family in this week's celeb looks, and we couldn't love it more—we're talking about blush tones!

This family of pretty, girly pinks and peaches is absolutely adorable, and the best part about them is that they can be styled in a super feminine way as well as in a more casual, sporty way.

Sonam Kapoor was spotted in an adorably flowy, peachy, off-shoulder maxi dress, which she teamed with a scarf of the same colour, and understated nude, strappy heels.

As for Kiran Rao, she rocked a simple blush pink, above-the-knee dress, and paired her look with a pair of classic white sneakers.

Which one do you like more?
