Fashion can’t get enough of throwing back to the 70s! Well now one of the biggest trend is glam rock. Clashing the disco of the 70s and the punk rock of the 80s, fashion is taking us on a time travel. Who says you can’t wear sparkle and sequin with grunge boots? Or sequins with ripped jeans and sneakers? Well it’s the time we’ve all been waiting for! You don’t need to hide the glamour behind your closets, now you can take them on to streets because street style is embracing glam rock! #glam #rock #glamrock #streetstyle #seventies #eighties #throwback #trend #style

It's become more of a trend than ever now. People aren't just settling for ripped jeans anymore; it's about adding the fish nets too! I've got to agree it is a pretty good look and I'm definitely looking to try it out. #rippedjeans #fishnets Photo: sophierimmerr

As much as we hate to admit the early 00's era of Paris Hilton in pink Juicy track suits, double denim x2 Justin and Britney, Christina Aguilera's dirty braided locks, oversized hoops and motorcross gear loving songstress Pink are all trending for 2017. Even though some of those trends especially worn in the early 00's period make us cringe slightly, incorporating a few items here with a 2017  approach will work wonders for your wardrobe this season!

Read on for the latest throwback staples of the season!

1. Velour Track Suit Ensemble

Before the rise of athleisure the velour tracksuit was a no-fail staple. Combined with an oversized bag, a Starbucks venti Latte and a miniature dog it was the celebrity uniform adorned by most starlets of the time. Many years after it's inevitable demise the velour tracksuit is having a come back. Vetement's collaboration with Juicy Couture for SS17 should have given us a hint. Kanye's YEEZY and Chloe are also adding this naughts staple into their collections. You can probably thank or cringe at Rihanna and Kylie Jenner for putting it back on the Insta Fash pack radar.

2. Trucker Cap

In the heyday of paparazzi and celebrity culture which was the early naughts they had to be accompanied by some much needed streetwear and paparazzi-proof attire. Black sunnies have always been favourable but headgear is also quite integral. For the early 00's that attire included the trucker cap. The ubiquitous accessory for every 20-something celebrity from Pharrell to Ashton Kutcher or Britney Spears. It was Hedi Slimane who resurfaced the the polarizing accessory for Saint Lauren's SS16 show. Nowadays, Gigi Hadid and Kylie and Kendall Jenner have all been spotted with the infamous cap.#2e2e2e">

3. Hot Pink

As fashion recycles every 20 years the early naughts adopted the early 80's trend of pastel pink. When it came to the early naughts Paris Hilton not only brought the flirty colour back but basically built her brand by sporting bold non apologetic fuchia-pink. Around the same time that Legally Blonde premiered by the way. And even though we have been drowning in pastel pink for the past few seasons you can attribute the rise of bold pink to Ballenciaga's SS17 collection. Just wondering when Paris Hilton's come back is due?

4. Motorcross Gear

The rise of early aughties hip-hop is undeniable and it quickly infused the fashion runways too. From Pharell Williams, to Pink, EVE, or Christina Aguilera's Dirrty video and most rappers of the time donning heavy leather tracksuits and jackets usually styled with braided hair and lots of 'bling' or 'bling-bling' if you're truly old - school. Nowadays, labels like Maison Margiela, Alyx Studio, Supreme and of course Rihanna's Fenty x Puma SS18 collection at NYFW are completely in racing-inspired gear mode.

5. Candy Coloured Sunglasses

Colorful sunglasses were everywhere in early 00's and adored by women and men equally. From Sisqo to Justin Timberlake Eve and the Olsen Twins (they've gone a long way we know), all 00's stars were sporting this trend. Nowadays you'll find the likes of Gigi Hadid and her entourage in similar rose coloured glasses.

6. Oversized Hoops

The oversized hoops are a symbol of RnB and Hip Hop music. From Lauren Hill, to Missy Elliot, and EVE it's the accessory that goes hand in hand with a bandana, baseball cap or sleek back pony tail. In the aughts the trend went more mainstream and was adored by many including Victoria Beckham. These days, you can see anyone from Kendall Jenner, to the Hadid sisters or Rihanna rocking those giant gold hoops from designers like Area or minimal ones from Lombardi and Nandi Naya.

7. Fishnets

We're not saying you should go full-on Avril Lavigne and "Hollaback Girl"-era Gwen Stefani, necessarily, but there's definitely something about this pop version of post punk fashion that us bubbling back up all over social media. Usually worn underneath low rise wide legged ripped jeans and peaking from the waist and calves. And of course, the fishnet top is a great way to add some interest under a slip dress—or just over a bandeau bra, for a fun flirty look.

8. Pointy slingback pumps

You can pinpoint this trend to the late 90's who resurfaced the super pointy kitten heel. It was in the early 00's though that the silhouette became more relaxed and transformed into a more elegant and feminine slingback pump with a mid-height lift. Doesn't Sophia Coppola's outfit look truly timeless?

There you have it! The eight 00's trends that are coming back in a major way. Which ones will you be sporting this season? Check out our exclusive edit of all the items that will give you that extra aughts edge!

There are many things you may have planned for this bank holiday weekend, but most of them probably didn’t take into consideration the constant rain. Luckily, we have a back up plan for you.

Two words: spring clean. Yep, you read that right. Bank holidays are the perfect opportunity to do it the right way, and with our tips, it’ll be done before you know it.

The first thing you need to do is set a nice atmosphere. Put on some good music and maybe invite a few friends over to help you. If you tell them they can take anything you don’t want, they’ll be sure to show up!

The second thing you need to remember is not to rush. You absolutely shouldn’t take all of your clothes out of your closet at once or you’ll feel discouraged and might just give up. Your spring clean shouldn’t leave your room in a bigger mess than it was in before…

Then take every article in your wardrobe and ask yourself if you’ve worn it in the past year. If you haven’t, then we guarantee you won’t wear it again. Unless the problem is that it’s ripped, in which case you should put it aside and make a point to repair it or bring it to the tailor within two days.

Once you have taken out all the clothes that you know you won’t wear anymore, we suggest making three piles for them: one with the clothes that you can sell, the other with the clothes that you can donate and finally a pile for the clothes that you can throw away.

And… you’re done! See, it’s really not as bad as you remembered it, is it?

Denim was once synonymous with basics and staples, but Topshop is here to change that. Their collection of denim pieces range from statement, organza detailed jackets to embroidered jeans and tulle layered skirts.

Denim is, and always will be, a versatile and timeless fabric that exudes casual-chic. However, for a while we got stuck in a perpetual cycle of mom jeans versus skinny jeans, season after season. For AW16 and SS17 denim dominated the catwalks, with frayed hems and ripped detailing updating the classics.

That being said, you can't beat a classic cut and well-tailored pair of jeans! Topshop caters to the masses by offering 'petite' and 'tall' collections, meaning you can invest in timeless denim that will fit like a glove.

Scroll and shop below for our top picks! We'll race you to the checkout...

Airport looks are always super fun to look at because they have it all— from super casual to chic and dressy. So here are our favourite ones from the past week!

Tamannah Bhatia
Tamannah kept it super casual yet stylish with a ripped white top, simple jeans, and white sneakers.

Jacqueline Fernandez
Jacqueline is a regular in our best-dressed lists for a reason! This time around, she created an unusual yet fashionable combo with a Topshop LBD and a powder blue overcoat from AM>:PM, the brand she endorses. You finished off her look with an ultra cute owl purse.

Huma Qureshi
Now this is what you call a classic outfit! Huma paired ripped jeans with a black bomber jacket and an evergreen pair of aviator sunnies.

Deepika Padukone
Deepika's outfit showed us that you don't need to spend ages looking for matching tops and bottoms to look stylish! She absolutely killed it with this black satin jumpsuit and classic pointy-toed heels.

Kangana Ranaut
Kangana should write a book about how to effortlessly combine formal and casual wear for a super cool result! We loved the pinstriped pants and matching blazer which she teamed with a white tee and classic white sneakers.

They say the primordial rule of fashion is to avoid pairing the same fabric together, particularly when it comes to denim. The denim on denim look, fondly called the Canadian suit, is very easy to mess up. However, the mess can be avoided with just a little bit of care and our styling tips below! Here's what you need to do -

1) Don't match your denims
If you plan to wear a denim shirt or jacket with your jeans, then make sure that they are of different weights and washes. For instance, wear your favourite black distressed skinny jeans with a denim chambray shirt. This way, your denims don't clash, and your outfit still has different textures to it. Take your time to get into the double shades of blue, once you think you can handle it.

2) Rip them up
Distressed denim can be a good friend to you when pairing blue and blue denim together. It cuts through the denim and adds a grunge vibe to your look. So pair your favourite ripped denim cutoffs with a plain tee, sneakers, and a denim jacket for that perfect summery look!

3) Chic it up
Don't be afraid to add glamour to your denim look, with the help of some accessories! Try a statement red lip, or add a stunning pair of black pumps and a messy topknot to your look for a casually chic vibe.

Bollywood's celebs are queens at looking amazing everywhere they go. With the new year bringing in new films and new fashion, it seems like the perfect opportunity for these beauties to flaunt their new personal styles! Here's the creme de la creme of this week -

1) Shraddha Kapoor: This stunner has been promoting her new film OK Jaanu all over the place, and has been sporting some beautiful outfits in the process! Our favourite of the week was an easy and breezy blue number, complete with some black pumps and lace accents to match.

2) Alia Bhatt: Our undying crush on her style was reinforced after we saw her in this chic and casual outfit on Instagram. Nothing can beat a ripped jeans-cami-heels look, but Alia made it pop with the addition of a metallic olive green trench coat. We think she looks amazing!

3) Deepika Padukone: Deepika is back in town to promote her new film XXX, and we're elated to have her home! She was spotted with Ranveer Singh in an adorable glittery red number, which was giving us serious flapper girl vibes. Flaunt those collarbones, girl!

4) Parineeti Chopra: Little Miss Chopra embraced the minimalist aesthetic this week, and shared a photo of herself in a stunning white bodycon dress! She paired her dress with some nude flats and bright pink sunglasses, giving her look a feminine touch.

Shopcade HQ recently spoke to designer, creative director, graphic artist and stylist Himanshu Pal for some much needed creative inspirations. Himanshu also maintains a blog called Inbetween9, which showcases some visually breathtaking projects with an underlying theme of androgyny, gender and design. Not only has he styled these projects, but also created interesting graphics for the same. If you haven't checked out his blog already, it's time you did!

Shopcade HQ (S): Tell us about your personal style.
Himanshu (H): Personal style means fun to me. It is not about looking like another Justin Bieber fan just because I’m a guy, but it is comfortable and includes every thing from women to men's clothing section and obviously being in fashion really helped me discover being myself and not just following androgyny in all black attires or edgy silhouettes.

S: Are you more of a stylist or a designer?
H: I'm more of a designer; but I've always wanted to pursue styling as well, so I did. I'm still at an initial stage and learning so much about design and styling -- it's something I do by maintaining my blog.

S: What's Inbetween9 all about?
H: Inbetween9 is about the excitement of Nowness and everything that happens around me. I deal with challenges in a creative and artistic way on my blog and realism and graphics are things that really drive me. I would not say the theme is only androgyny because I also like to explore other aspects of life.

S: Name a few influential bloggers according to you
H: There's only one -- Leandra Medine of the The Man Repeller

S: Name a designer you would like to have coffee and conversation with and why?
H: Actually there are two -- Victoria Beckham and Tory Burch. What surprises me the most is how these two ladies have built an empire which is fashionable, confident and not like any other clothing house.

S: Must have pieces in one's closet...
H: Oversized crisp white shirt, non-stretch raw denim, cotton shirts and tops for the summer!

S: Your style icon
H: North west! I think she is amazing and no doubt, Leandra Medine is my style mother.

S: Current trend that you love...
H: Vibe of 80's, any given day!

S: Current trend that you hate...
H: Typical athleisure.

S: Raw/undone or picture perfect?
H: Everything has to be effortless for me. We are all so aware these days (all hails to Instagram) that trying hard to look stylish or fashionable for sake of is a passe. Effortless doesn't mean fashion idols in tartan shirt, ripped denims and converse! Fashion has become so cheaply accessible to everyone now at all levels that we can't change but one should know the fine line in between.

S: You're a strong believer of 'clothes don't have a gender'. Please elaborate.
H: It's funny how people pull everything into stereotypes, especially clothes! It's the exact same as stereotypes in other industries. However, I want to remain strong and head out with confidence in whatever I wear! I do get stares every now and then but I don't care so much anymore and I still like to shop in women's section irrespective of what people think or say as no one understands my approach to garments. You will never see me wearing what others think I should wear and I feel very liberal when it comes to fashion. It's all about perspective. We find this thought very inspiring, what about you?
