All-black outfits hold a special place in our hearts—black on black is an infallible combination that flatters every single person, has a slimming effect, and looks chicer than any other colour there is!

So here is some celebrity inspo on different ways you can rock the classic combo of black on black. We selected the best ones from Hollywood as well as right here at home in B-town.

Crop top + leggings like Bella Hadid
If you have a flat belly like Bella and want to flaunt it, pair a black crop top and leggings together.

Bodycon dress + stilettos like Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian
A bodycon dress is the perfect clubbing outfit when paired with a sexy pair of black heels. If you wanna cover up a little more, go the Kourtney way and add a smart faux leather jacket.

Plunging neckline + strappy heels like Irina Shayk
This is what you should go for on nights when you want to feel extra sexy!

Romper + strappy heels like Alia Bhatt
What do you do when you want a cute outfit but don't feel like wearing a dress and don't have the patience to coordinate tops and bottoms? You wear a romper, of course!

Peplum top + stilettos like Parineeti Chopra
A black peplum top is a great, subtle way to add some dimension to your hips if you're lacking in the curves department but still want to look slim.

Bold jumpsuit + red lips like Kendall Jenner
No one does sexy like Kendall. All-black + red lips is a timeless combination!

Athiya Shetty just dropped us the perfect summer date outfit!

Her latest look from Baaghi success bash was this dark blue and black peplum dress by Self Portrait. So minimalistic, yet so chic.

We also love the black stilettos she chose to pair her look with!

LFW summer resort 2016 kicked off at the St. Regis in Mumbai yesterday, and day 1 sure was a dazzler! Making this list was tough, but here are our top 5 from yesterday’s shows:

Frou Frou by Archana Rao
This show was a gorgeous, girly affair, with loads of ruffles, peplum, brocade, pink, and gossamer fabrics.

GenNext
GenNext was a segment of the program that featured 5 upcoming designers’ eco-friendly creations.

Aqdus Saleem’s and Sohaya Misra’s creations were heaven for neutral lovers with their light, muted palettes, leaving the focus on the silhouettes of the designs.

Naveem Naaz Shaik’s collection was a cool hybrid of western and Indian with kurtas and unstructured coats.

The origami appliques on Agrima Batra’s super chic gowns definitely caught our eye as the models sashayed down the runway, and Chirag Nainani’s indigenous indigo-and-white dyed pieces had a beautiful uniformity.

Aneeth Arora
When Aneeth Arora says “summer”, she means business. Her collection was a summer dream with lace maxi dresses, cotton pants, and cute sundresses in summery fabrics and colours.

Doodlage
Doodlage’s designs were a love affair with patterns - stripes and polka dots galore, and even a dash of patchwork! We love how the collection came together by focusing on the primary colours red and blue.

Quirkbox
Quirkbox’s designs were every cutesy pattern lover’s sartorial dream with their adorable floral motifs and French slogans!

It seems divorce suits actress Hilary Duff just fine, because she looked divine as she attended the Albright Fashion Library Launch event in LA. She wore a strapless white pencil dress with a bust peplum, and pointed black pumps.

Her accessories were reminiscent of old-Hollywood bombshells: dark red lips and nail polish, smoky eye, and a black boxy clutch. But she kept her look fresh and up-to-date with a popular trend: pastel hair!

Athletic body shapes tend to have broad shoulders, strong legs and arms, and little difference between the top and bottom half of the body.

If you have a muscular figure, bring balance by choosing soft outfits that create curves.

Our tips for dressing an athletic figure include:

1. Create a waist
Choose clothes that draw in at the waist to create a false waist and the illusion of curves. Flared skirts and fitted dresses would work for this, as would belted dresses, tops and coats.

2. Try to downplay your shoulders
Avoid anything that highlights the shoulder area such as multiple straps or shoulder pads. Scoop and v-neck tops can divert attention away from your shoulders, as can halterneck tops. Boat necks and off-the-shoulder shirts look great on athletic figures despite their tendency to accentuate the shoulders.

3. Reduce your squares
You’ll probably have quite a square shape, so try to avoid square prints or straight lines which can make you look even more boxy. Try asymmetrical or rounded patterns, hemlines and necklines.

Cropped blazers can also make you look boxy. Instead, choose long-line blazers and duster coats that create length, making sure it doesn’t have built-in shoulder pads.

4. Go for lightweight fabrics.
Lightweight fabrics are great for adding softness and femininity to your outfit. Lace, silk, chiffon and fabrics with natural draping or sheer finish are all great choices, as are outfits with embellishments and ruffles.

5. Take advantage of your height.
Opt for column dresses that create height, with cut-out sides to give you a waist and a mermaid tail to add curves. Dresses that skim across your shoulders and emphasise your waist are also a good option.

Elongate your legs with high-waisted trousers or skirts, and opt for wide-legs to create balance and flatter your hips and thighs and midi-skirts with some stretch and peplum detailing at the hips to give the illusion of curves.

The hourglass figure is characterised by a similar sized bust and hips, along with a narrower, defined waist.

Deemed by many (women and men) to be the ideal body type, dressing for the hourglass figure only requires a few tips and tricks.

Read on for our top five tips to accentuate an hourglass figure.

1. Go for fitted styles
Choose fitted, tailored styles for everything from t-shirts, blouses to button-down shirts and dresses. This means you’ll need to start with a good bra that fits well and is supportive.

For outerwear, go for belted jackets and trench-style coats that accentuate your waist. Short jackets that stop just above your hips are also flattering.

Cinch in at your waist whenever possible with a dark skinny belt, and go for wrap-style blouses and dresses which again pull in at the waist (this works particularly well if you’re tall).

2. Choose materials carefully.
Avoid stiff materials that can make you look boxy, and instead opt for stretchy materials that hug your curves and soft materials that drape over your body.

If your abdomen is slightly bulky, opt for supportive fabrics with structure to help you maintain a lean silhouette.

3. Don’t lose proportions.
Try to keep your bust and hips at the same size by wearing bust-slimming necklines and avoiding bulky trousers and skirts.

Slim necklines you can choose from include v-necks, v-neck halters, sweetheart necklines and scoop necks which also have the added benefit of drawing attention to your narrow waist. Wide necklines such as boat necks and squares can make you lose proportion and look top heavy.

You’ll also find that loose-fitting or bulky tops can add too much to your bust, so stay away from ruffles, bows and other details that can add volume.

4. Play with colour block.
While solid colours are best for hourglass figures, feel free to play with colour blocking - having contrasting shades above and below your waist can look particularly good.

If you’d rather give the impression of a slimmer frame, go for vertical stripes and dark colours.

5. Play around with your skirts.
Voluminous full-circle or tulip skirts in a high-waist style hug the hips and hang off them naturally, creating a flattering silhouette. A-line, peplum and pencil skirts also work well for hourglass figures and helps streamline your body.

6. Go for flare when it comes to trousers.
Choose flared, wide-leg or boot-cut styles when it comes to jeans and trousers as this can help keep your legs in proportion to your hips.

If you’d like to wear skinny jeans, try pairing it with high heels to add extra length and prevent your legs from looking short.

For both options, choose mid-rise and high-rise styles that elongate the legs.

Lighting up the red carpet in Leicester Square for the London premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, new lead actress Daisy Ridley (who plays heroine Rey) stole our hearts with her black embellished cutout gown designed by Roland Mouret.

With critics keeping schtum about what it is exactly that happens in the film, only revealing that "This is the sequel you're looking for" etc., all those wary of spoilers can relax and breathe a sigh of relief- we're here to share who we reckon are the best dressed ladies of the night!

Lupita Nyong'o posed for the cameras in a look featuring a long-sleeved peplum upper and studded chainmail skirt with long tassels. Her blue lipstick may be unconventional but fit in with the space opera themed red carpet lineup.

Lastly, Gwendoline Christie captured our hearts once again in a dazzling blue floor length gown. Speaking to Express.co.uk, Gwendoline said: "I'm so grateful to play a character like Captain Phasma who I think is truly progressive.

"She's a woman that we form a relationship with due to her character, rather than first and foremost the way she looks. I think that is incredibly interesting in our modern culture."

We absolutely love Aditi Rao's jacket style lehenga and Athiya's peplum variation.

Sonam, on the other hand, kept it classy.
