This isn't the first time this week we've had potentially groundbreaking fashion news; first we were told Hedi Slimane's contract at YSL had expired, then Anthony Vaccarello was named YSL's new creative director and now, French newspaper Les Echoes reports Valentino may be buying Balmain for €500 million!

However, French fashion house Balmain has had two other offers; one from a Chinese fashion group and the other from an U.S investor. These parties have chosen to remain anonymous. If these offers are indeed valid, heirs of the late Balmain chairman Alain Hivelin have been reportedly given a deadline of Thursday 7th April to decide.

That’s 2 WHOLE DAYS away - which means we could be hearing the news come Thursday morning.

Neither Valentino nor Balmain have commented.

Last night the beautiful and the talented descended on London for the annual Elle Style Awards event, marking the close of LFW in typically spectacular style,  but the winners left us feeling a tad confused.

Sure, you had the likes of Stella McCartney winning Designer Of The Year (no complaints here) and Lucky Blue Smith scooping the award for Male Model Of The Year (again, deserved- he's hot property right now) but then you had some which just seemed misplaced.

Suki Waterhouse being named Breakthrough Star Of The Year or Outstanding Contribution To Fashion going to Alber Elbaz- surely this was Balmain & its Creative Director, Olivier Rousteing's year?

That aside, it was definitely the model pack who ruled when it came to best dressed. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Karlie Kloss and Jourdan Dunn looked sensational in their bodycon choices.

Liv Tyler looked stunning in a royal blue number, which showed off her growing baby bump to perfection and Bella Hadid &Toni Garn get major props from us for their fringe creations- brave to attempt, but both pulled it off with aplomb!

Scroll through our gallery above to see more of the outfits on display last night!

Supermodel Cindy Crawford has announced that she will retire from modelling when she turns 50 later on in February.

Speaking to United Airlines’ Rhapsody magazine, Cindy stated: “I’m sure I’ll have my picture taken for 10 more years, but not as a model anymore”, adding that “I can’t keep reinventing myself. I should’ve have to keep proving myself. I don’t want to.”

Having quit full-time modelling in 2000, Cindy made a surprise appearance in Balmain's new SS16 ads alongside Claudia Schiffer and Naomi Campbell in January.

Certainly giving the Kendall's, Gigi's and Jourdan's of this world a run for their money looking sizzling in Olivier Rousteing's new collection- we're pretty sad to hear Cindy's hanging up her heels for good.

The supers are back! But did they ever really fall off the radar, even just a little bit? Given that Balmain creative director/consort to the stars Olivier Rousteing's been championing social media darlings Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and their peers, it's a welcome relief to see Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer and Cindy Crawford in the label's SS16 print campaign!

Modelling tiered fabric high waisted trousers, crochet tops and skirts, structured blazers and more in Balmain's signature neutral palette, Olivier explains in a press release just what impact these '90s supermodels had on him in his youth...

"When I was a schoolboy in Bordeaux, it was their editorials that first made clear to me the amazing transformative power of fashion. Still today, many years on, their iconic images are often found amongst the jumble on mood boards in my (and every other designer's) atelier. To say that working with them was a dream come true is no exaggeration."

In August this year, Kylie Jenner- the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan- was reported to have a net worth of $5. On her 18th birthday, boyfriend Tyga (whom she has NOT split up with) gifted her a $320,000 Ferrari

Today however, TMZ reports Tyga's deal on a $10 million crib in Calabasas near Kylie's place has fell through for the 3rd time! Could it be that the rapper has finally hit rock bottom with all his financial crises?!

Sources have revealed to TMZ that the 26-year-old has been unable to cough up the full $10 million for the 8 bedroom property and has instead come up with excuses for his late payment- either not having been paid yet or being busy on the road.

Meanwhile, rumours of his and Kylie's split have been put to bed since the youngest KUWTK star posted a Snapchat image of the two canoodling and her appearance on The Ellen Show.

It's the night where the creme de la creme of the fashion world come together and yesterday's British Fashion Awards did not disappoint!

Aside from the queuing in the freezing cold for over an hour, whilst the beautiful people enjoyed their four course dinner (bitter, moi?!) team Shopcade were ridiculously excited to attend.

So without further ado, here's our top 13 moments from last night...

1. Jack Whitehall hosting- Actually pretty damn funny! Kept procedures running smoothly, moving tribute to Paris and nearly peed himself when Orlando Bloom came on stage.

2. Gwendoline Christie is a bad ass! Strutting up to collect her style award, she looked sensationally sexy in a gold sequin gown- major woman crush right there.

3. Ab Fab's Edina and Patsy making a cameo to present an award to Stella McCartney got the biggest cheer of the night. The girls are back, sweetie.

4. FKA Twigs went rogue coming off stage and decided to go a different direction to where the poor man was trying to show her. Naughty.

5. Anna Wintour wants to be reincarnated as Choupette, Karl Lagerfeld's cat. No joke, she actually said this. Also- side note, she was there sans glasses and was a delight to watch.

6. Burberry 2.0- Alison Moyet performed Only You to a catwalk showing of each nominated designer showing a piece from their AW15 show.

7. Alessandro Michele was ridiculously cute with his speech and SO nervous. He did stumble when it came to thanking his partner (a he/she forgetful moment) and looked brilliant in his paisley floral suit. Harry Styles, THIS is how it's done.

8. Naomi Campbell telling everyone to clap when she announced a particularly thrilling statistic. Yes, Naomi.

9. Orlando Bloom mid speech looking so confident and then forgetting who he was awarding. Raised a chuckle from the audience and made him go a bit red.

10. Although, that was nothing compared to what his recipient, J W Anderson revealed when presented with the reward.... turns out he used to have a crush on Orlando Bloom. Both awkward and hilarious!

11. Karlie Kloss being waaay too tall for the mic and having to hunch for a good two minutes did wonders for our self esteem. Only kidding, we love you Karlie!

12. Olivier Rousteing presenting Jourdan Dunn with her model of the year award kind of reminded us of two drunk school friends giggling on stage.

13. Alexa Chung casually dissing the designer she was wearing before presenting him with his award. Could have been a tad awkward, but anything can be forgiven with a smile right?!

This Thursday is the most important day of your young life. Why, I hear you ask? Well, dear users, it is the day that H&M x Balmain FINALLY lands after an agonisingly long wait and more teasing than is strictly necessary.

With this in mind, I asked the Fashion Team to come up with some full proof ways of making sure you bag that last Balmain. Ready? OK, lets begin...

1. Be prepared. Make a list of everything you want and DON'T deviate!
2. Set five alarms. No, really. You want to miss this? Exactly.
3. Have back up cards ready to roll. Oh and if you're really on it- memorise ALL the numbers.
4. The refresh button is your best friend- better work on those finger reflexes.
5. Get stocked up- you're in this for the long haul, so sweets and snacks are totally acceptable.
6. Size sold out? Buy it anyway, it's an investment for later life or you know, Ebay.
7. The early bird catches the Balmain. It may not go live until 9am, but that doesn't mean you can't be browsing a couple of hours early, does it?!

And if you're braving the cold and queuing overnight- well, sharpen those elbows, wire up on coffee and take no prisoners. Best of luck!

H&M don't do things by halves do they?

Fresh from releasing a behind the scenes video of their #HMBalmaination campaign, featuring Kendall twerking like a pro, they held the launch party to end all launch parties last night in NYC.

A-listers strutted the catwalk in Rousteing's designs for H&M and peppered the FROW, as guests were treated to some perfect 90s nostalgia with a performance from- wait for it- The Backstreet Boys! (That 11-year-old fan girl inside you just went all crazy didn't it?!)

Kendall Jenner lead the way, with pals including Karlie Kloss and sisters Bella & Gigi Hadid also modelling on the night.

They were joined by guests Alexa Chung, Diane Kruger, Kylie Jenner, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Ellie Goulding in wearing the H&M creations.

Expectations for the collab has officially reached fever pitch, with this easily being the most anticipated collection in H&M's history.

Landing 5th November, you officially have permission to call in sick on this day- it's Balmain for heaven's sake.

Scroll through our gallery above to see more from the party and watch The Backstreet Boys performing live!
