Today is a great opportunity to embrace Mexican culture. Many people enjoy some Mexican food or even a few margaritas, but Cinco de Mayo (or Fifth of May) is about more than partying with friends and family…

The day celebrates the date of the Mexican army's 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican war. Although a minor holiday in Mexico, here in the US it has evolved into a commemoration of Mexican culture and heritage.

How to celebrate Cinco de Mayo?

Want to get the low-down on the best outfits for Cinco de Mayo? Look no further. Incorporate a few traditional Mexican colours such as green, white, yellow and red into your outfit. Rainbow stripes are trending at the moment so why not combine those hues by rocking bold prints or striped tops and dresses? Mexican women are famous for their long luscious locks, bold brows and fluttering eyelashes, so invest in a few items to boost your beauty look.

Opt for a bold red lip and some thick mascara, then use a spoolie to fluff up those brows and you're good to go. If you want to really push the boat out, go for a statement floral or classic Mexican instrument print; a guitar or maraca print is sure to turn heads when you turn up at a fiesta.

Editor’s tip: Stay away from traditional Mexican costumes as these are an important part of the country’s culture and dressing up in them for fun can be a little insensitive.

Next, invest in some Mexican-style decorations and don't forget the piñata. Set your table with bright colours and plenty of flowers. Then, serve traditional salsa verde with Mexican grilled corn.

Tacos have gone from one of the most to a very notable fashion trend. It all started with the birth of the taco emoji back in 2015, a few mentions on Netflix series Girlboss and yeap on fashion design.

QUICK TACO-HISTORY

Although we don't know exactly the taco's roots, the prominent theory is that they hail from 18th century silver mines in Mexico, because in those mines the word “taco” referred to the little charges they would use to excavate the ore. The first references to the taco came from the end of the 19th century and they were described as tacos de minero—miner’s tacos.

HOW DO YOU MAKE TACOS?

This is the simplest way to make tacos:

Steps

Cook beef in a frying pan over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stir occasionally, until it turns brown and  then drain.

Stir ready made taco salsa (although you could make your own) into beef. Heat until it starts to boil while stirring constantly. Then you can reduce the heat to medium-low.

Finally, heat the taco shells and serve them with beef mixture, lettuce, tomato and cheese. Done!

TACO - FASHION IS NOT TACKY

At least in 2017, where the taco print is definitely more high fashion and less awkward tourist (who forgot to pack more than one t-shirt spilt sauce on the first one and now has to walk around with a taco-shirt on in museums.) Inherently keeping it's humorous nature, taco merchandising is quite fashionable and it doesn't hurt that they come in mustard. One of the biggest colour trends of 2017.

HOW TO WEAR THE TACO TREND?

Add a few pieces here and there while keeping the rest of your outfit muted. Oh! And always keep your sense of humour!

For our full selection of taco-inspired items look at our edit below!

The Return of Xander Cage the new Hollywood action flick, starring Vin Diesel, Deepika Padukone, Nina Dobrev, and Ruby Rose. We've been awaiting this film for a long time now, and we're elated that it's finally being premiered!

The cast has been promoting the film all over the world, including cities like London, Mexico City, and our very own Mumbai. Deepika and Vin made a stunning desi entrance into India (where the film is releasing before anywhere else), complete with some band baaja action!

We thought it was the perfect way to show Vin a good time, and welcome him into the vibrancy of Mumbai. Scroll through our gallery for photos of this adorable scene, as well as snaps of the rest of the cast promoting the film. The camaraderie and chemistry between the cast is definitely present off screen, so we're sure it'll translate on-screen too!

Ryan Reynolds has just been made GQ's 'Man of the Year' and we couldn't be happier about it. His wit, sarcasm, intelligence and love for Blake means he has a very special place in our hearts. Read our highlights from his GQ interview below, and LOL at him interviewing himself as his 'twin brother' above...

"Why did it take Deadpool so long to happen?

I've been on the train for 11 years trying to get it made. We did every iteration of that script we could to allow them to make the movie that looked vaguely like the movie we wanted to make.

You Trojan-horsed your Deadpool in through a regular superhero script.

We thought, "Okay, if they let us do this, we'll actually shoot this and hopefully they won't notice." Once the test footage leaked, that created a groundswell of support. And the studio responded to that groundswell by saying, "Okay, here's the absolute bare minimum amount of money that we will give this character. Let us know when the movie's done."

You played Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but it seemed like no one was happy with how that went.

It was during a writers' strike, so all my dialogue in that movie I wrote. I mean, in the stage directions it just said, "Deadpool shows up, talks really fast, and makes a lot of jokes." At the beginning of that movie, that's pretty close to Deadpool's Wade Wilson—we're in the ballpark with that guy. But it completely departed all canon and reason, and he wound up being this abomination of Deadpool that was like Barakapool, with his mouth sewn shut and weird blades that came out of his hands and these strange tattoos and stuff like that. If you watch the movie, I'm actually playing only a small section, and another actor, this gifted stunt performer, is doing the lion's share of that work. The conversation at the time was "If you want to play Deadpool, this is your chance to introduce him. And if you don't want to introduce him in this fashion, we'll have someone else play him."

That movie leaked online a month and a half before it was supposed to be released, and all these people saw it and were so upset about Deadpool.

I was in Mexico with some friends, and I was called by the chief of the studio, who said, "You have to get on a plane right now. We need to re-shoot the very end of the movie." I was such a douche, because I was like, "I told you so." I still get angry, because I remember saying, "You know, there are more Deadpool fans out there than you realize, and they're not gonna be happy with this." I was met with a plausible reason, which was "We don't have enough time to develop a proper Deadpool suit and make him the fully realized version of the comic, so we're going with this." But I was like, "Then don't do it at all!"

You've been obsessed with Deadpool for forever. You were literally talking about it when you were doing press for Green Lantern.

It's like when your husband or wife is out there doing interviews and constantly batting their eyes about some other actor or actress—like, that's a problem. Right before I took Green Lantern, I wrote a letter to my executive at Fox saying, "I'm gonna take this movie Green Lantern if you guys aren't gonna make Deadpool. I'm at the altar, about to say 'I do' to somebody else, but tell me you want to spend the rest of your life with me, because I want to spend the rest of my life with you." And they said, "Unfortunately, we can't green-light that movie, and I don't think it's gonna ever get green-lit." So I was like, *Okay, I'm gonna go move on with my life, then, I guess.

It must have been unbelievably gratifying when Deadpool was a hit. When did you know?

When the Thursday midnight numbers were so excessive that I just went, "Whoa." We made our production budget back on Friday. There's a certain vindication that comes with that, especially because the studio—granted, under different regimes—for years just kept telling us to go fuck ourselves sterile.

Is Fox shoving money at you now?

Are you insane? It's not like, "We really want to shoot this on $70 million," and they're like, "We insist: It's 150." That never happens, trust me. And the first time, it was almost like the more Fox took away from us, the stronger we got. There's two moments of the movie where I forget my ammo bag. That's not because Deadpool's forgetful. That's because we couldn't afford the guns that we were about to use in the scene.

It sounds relentless.

I felt like I was on some schooner in the middle of a white squall the whole time. It just never stopped. When it finally ended, I had a little bit of a nervous breakdown. I literally had the shakes. I went to go see a doctor because I felt like I was suffering from a neurological problem or something. And every doctor I saw said, "You have anxiety."

But you are the film.

It is genuinely like an alter ego I can turn on and off.

Your life seems so good right now. Are you content, or are you like, "It's all downhill from here"?

The needle doesn't move as much as you think it does—I really think that people just come down the chute a certain way. There's this idea that when somebody's just a miserable son of a bitch and they win the lottery, they're ecstatic for like six months, but when you catch up to them a year down the line, they're still a pessimistic person. And when a super-happy optimist loses everything in life, they just sort of figure it out and go back to their baseline. My baseline's pretty good, I think, aside from a few pretty intense anxiety hiccups over my life. I wouldn't say I'm quantifiably happier now than I was when I lived in my shithole studio apartment on Wilcox in Hollywood. I'm also old enough to understand what's an illusion and what's real, and that it's foolish to try to think that I can control anything from here on out.

Very Zen.

Undercut the Zen part with the same fears that everyone else has. But I wasn't a miserable fuck before I did this for a living, and I would hope that I would never turn into one, because I'm lucky. That's a Man of the Year quote right there. Jesus Christ. "

Kourtney Kardashian and her baby daddy/on-off partner of 9 years have been captured by Paparazzi on what appears to be a romantic vacation in Los Cabos, Mexico. But does this mean the couple is back together?!

Scroll through our gallery above to see Scott and Kourtney deboard their private jet in Mexico, a saucy Instagram picture of Kourtney in her bikini which Scott shared on Instagram, and paparazzi images of the two intimately sharing each other's space!

The couple share three children; Mason, six, Penelope, four, and Reign, one. Kourtney and Scott have remained amicable and share parenting responsibilities, despite Scott's tendency to jet off for weeks on end and history of alcohol and substance abuse.

In a recent episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kourtney and Scott's relationship was put under the microscope once more when Khloe Kardashian commented, "You know they're totally getting back together one day."

As America becomes the butt of its own joke within the international community, it's pretty clear that at this point, patriots at home and abroad are either celebrating or feeling full of despair.

The race to the White House has felt longer and more divisive than ever before but now that the Great Sh*t Show of 2016 has reached its climax, the American people can look forward to Inauguration Day on January 20th, when they'll have either moved to Canada or purchased a copy of Russian for Beginners.

Scroll right through our gallery above to see how celebrities - not the lame ones like Tila Tequila or Kirstie Alley - are reacting to news of Trump's victory.

Considering that the majority of you were likely to have stayed up to watch the drama unfold, a play-by-play of last night's events aren't necessary.

Trump's victory speech - which you can watch in full in the video above - saw him offer commiserations to Hillary Clinton and her family, thank his supporters, and pledge to be a president for "all of Americans" from "all races, religions, backgrounds, and beliefs..."

Perhaps concerned about the divide within the country, Trump's victory speech made no mention of the wall he intended to have built along America's southern border that he wants to Mexico to pay for. The Donald also politely refrained from any "locker-room talk" and mentions of "p*ssy grabbing."

Given that Trump's campaign for the presidency was fuelled by anti-establishment anger, can his administration really give the people what he promised?

As Michael Moore put it in his recent documentary Michael Moore in TrumpLand, "When the rightfully angry people of Ohio and Michigan and Pennsylvania and Wisconsin find out after a few months in office that President Trump wasn't going to do a damn thing for them, it'll be too late to do anything about it."

Several important issues hang in the balance: Do #BlackLivesMatter to Trump? Will there be mass deportations? If not, what will be the extent of the potentially violent uproar among gun toting, die-hard Trump supporters should he fail to deliver? Who will move to Canada first, Miley Cyrus or Lena Dunham? And lastly, WHEN WILL WE SMASH THE GLASS CEILING?

Baz Luhrmann's classic film Romeo + Juliet is turning 20 this month! The film adaptation of the William Shakespeare play, Romeo and Juliet, turned heads because of Luhrmann's decision to transport the characters to the modern-day setting of Verona (well, OK- modern for 1996) while simultaneously remaining true to the original script. It won more than a dozen awards across the globe and was even nominated for an Oscar.

It's often been credited as the movie that first put Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes in the public spotlight as serious actors. Luhrmann has previously admitted that while Leo was always his number one pick for Romeo, her originally wanted Natalie Portman for Juliet. Upon seeing the two actors together, though, Luhrmann made the executive decision to go with Claire Danes instead.

For its 20th anniversary today, Luhrmann is releasing unseen production materials for the first time ever! The Australian director made the announcement through Twitter last week, delighting fans when he said that he and his team would be reviewing old archives and posting new materials. Here it is, in his own words:

It was an extraordinary creative journey, the likes of which I'm sure the cast, crew, and close collaborators will never quite experience again. Many doubted the preposterous ambition of setting Shakespeare's beloved tragic romance in a heightened creative world, with a then relatively unknown Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes.

But we did make it, overcoming incredible odds filming entirely in Mexico. Over the next 7 days, the team and I are going to go through our unpublished archives and, as a celebration of time passing, release previously unseen items leading up to R+J's 20th birthday. Think of it as a big shoutout to Shakespeare himself, whose 400th anniversary is this year.

Luhrmann started to make good on his promises almost immediately after his announcement, also through his Twitter account. He posted a story board for the famous gas station scene, images of Montague costume designs, a story board for Benvolio's death, and a story board for Vizcaya, the Capulet mansion.

It's very cool to get a sneak peek at what goes on behind the silver screen and to learn about the collaborative creative process. Whether you're a huge fan of the movie Romeo + Juliet, or just someone who enjoys learning more about how movies are made, you'll get a kick out of these boards and extra materials. Follow Luhrmann on Instagram and Twitter for more!

Since doing Romeo + Juliet back in 1996, Luhrmann has worked on several amazing movies, including Moulin Rouge in 2001, and also the revamp of another classic tale, The Great Gatsby, in 2013.

He has only positive things to say about R+J stars Leonardo and Claire Danes, and hinted that he's always on the lookout for another project in which he'll get to collaborate with Leo. We'll keep our fingers crossed for his future movies!

P.S. If you had anything to do with the making of the film, or are simply just a fan and want to share, don't hold back. Though I'm still getting down with "the get down", the team and I so much enjoy looking at everything."

If you're a travel buff, you know how difficult it is to come to a conclusion as to where to visit for a vacay this year. But like always, we have got that bit covered for you.

Below we have put together a list of four travel destinations that are not only scenic but also very interesting.

Istanbul, Turkey
If you love Europe and Asia then chances are you'd definitely love Istanbul. Throughout this vibrant city, you'll find centuries-old mosques, churches and markets happily co-existing with modern restaurants, galleries and nightclubs.

Tokyo, Japan
This technologically advanced place is a regular favourite among travellers. The country has set an ambitious goal of doubling their tourism by 2020 by improving and updating their infrastructure (yes, all the techy jazz!) and constantly redefining its national culture. It's a must visit for all food lovers!

Mexico City
Although Mexico's beaches have always been big draws for tourists, it's not the country's capital that's drawing people. It's the history, architecture and food that we are talking about! If you're travelling between the U.S. and South America, consider planning a layover in Mexico to experience all the magic!

Havana
It isn't surprising that Cuba is a huge attraction for travellers. The first pleasure cruise and commercial flights left Florida this year for Cuba and the first U.S. owned hotel in 60 years opened its doors in Havana, which has attracted mostly youngsters between the ages of 20-35.

Toronto, Canada
Canada has a major food movement that you would love to be a part of! And if you're a Hockey fan, what other place to be than Toronto? This city is home to the Hockey Hall of Fame which you must visit if you're a fan. Let's not forget the indie music and art scene in Toronto which is so highly talked about.

Still haven't crystallised your holiday plans? Well, trust us and consider these options for your next vacacy. And while you are at it definitely check out howdini's video on packing tips, they are super handy!
