The metallic trend was arguably the biggest that emerged from the Pre Fall 2016 shows, and we can. not. wait.

But, if you want to get ahead of the curve and jump on the trend before everyone else, then we've collated an edit of Spring Summer pieces that will answer all your metallic needs.

Silver is always chic, anyone remember the iconic metallic slip Kate Moss wore in the 90s? Well, it's back with a vengeance. However, metallic isn't just restricted to a silver/gold palette anymore, now you can pick between a plethora- Azure, pink, mint green (the list goes on).

Shop our edit below for a metallic fix...

Stand out from the boring party crowds with a little bit of gorgeous shimmer on your body with… no, we are not talking about body glitter, we’re talking about our fave fashion trend of all times – metallic dresses.

What better way to look classy to a lavish night out than by donning a gorgeous, elegant golden or silver dress and if you’re wondering just exactly how you can style it to perfection, we have listed three main tips for you to follow.

Don’t accessorise
Your dress is going to act like a big shiny accessory on you and there would be no need for any kind of jewelry other than the dress itself.

Nudes to compliment the metallic
To go with your dress, opt for a nude clutch or shoes so as to not overdo the shine. After all, too much of anything is never good for anyone – shine or no shine.

Bright lips, ahoy!
Want to add another colour to your ensemble? Try a bright matte red, orange or pink lipstick and see yourself automatically transforming into a diva. Yes!

We have fallen for this flashy fashion this season and if you have too, shop from our edits below.

The Billboard Awards are known for stand out moments and last night's show was no different. Adele debuted a new track and video, Britney was back to her absolute pre-meltdown best and Madonna led the musical tributes to Prince with a storming rendition of Purple Rain.

Justin Bieber also dispelled all rumours of ill health with a cracking set and a receptive audience (last time he was booed) whilst Rihanna gave a surprisingly stripped back and emotive performance.

In the best dressed stakes- props to Jessica Alba, Zendaya, Ariana Grande and Mila Kunis for all taking on summer's top dress trends- cut out, lace, nude and metallics.

Get their look below with our awards worthy dress edit and watch the Billboard highlights above!

Giving us a taster of what we can expect from Mango's "New Metallics" trend in April, a teaser image of Karlie Kloss has been released by the fashion retailer featuring the model in a sequinned slip dress covered by a white bomber jacket.

She's fronted campaigns for Topshop, Nike, Jean Paul Gaultier, John Galliano and more but since leaving behind her Victoria's Secret Angel status, Karlie's career has gone from strength to strength.

Mango has also uploaded an interview video with both Karlie and The Kills' Jamie Hince who provides the soundtrack to the campaign's new TV spot which you can watch right above!

Karlie has stated: "Working with Mango to bring their rock-inspired, New Metallics collection to life was a lot of fun. The pieces in the collection are edgy and capture the energy from my shoot-turned-dance-party."

Having taken place in London earlier this year, we'll have to hang on 'til next month to see the full shoot!

Rita Ora shines on the cover of Elle Canada in a matching lime-green perforated crop top and curve-hugging skirt.

The pop singer turns model flawlessly, with a brand-new bleach blonde pixie cut that looks absolutely gorgeous on her. In my favorite image, she rocks a bodycon emoji dress and jacket with thigh-high boots and a metallic choker.

Vibrant red lips, neutral eyes, and dark brows complete her look. In her interview she talks fame and being self-conscious.

There's no getting round it- Christmas in July is a very odd combination and yet the Fashion Editors are now so used to it, we're already embracing woolies in a full on heatwave and donning our sequins for a beer garden pub crawl.

This season is no exception as team Shopcade (aka myself and @monifabrowne) headed on out to see F&F's Christmas offering and my, what a collection it was.

Continuing their run of success following their insane AW15 press launch (high tea at The Savoy, Paloma Faith performing, oh and a suede selection that wouldn't look out of place at Celine) this Christmas collection was pure class.

Luxe fabrics, clever detailing and simple styling means a clever capsule range you can mix and match throughout the whole festive period.

The Key Pieces To Look Out For

1. Gold foil metallic dress: Sure to be a sell out, this will look great with bare legs (if you dare!) or with sheer black tights and heels. We love.

2. Sparkly Culotte Jumpsuit: Sorry, culottes are going nowhere, but you will love this updated A/W take on the summer staple.

3. Monochrome Fur Coat: Channel your best Cruella in this style steal. The perfect party coat, but also casual enough to wear in the day- ding ding, we have a winner!

4. Lace Dress: Style with a fedora and knee high boots and you'll be good to go.

5. Tassel Jacket: Think sexy cowgirl. OK that's the wrong image to leave you with, but trust us- this is a trophy jacket in the making.

Dropping from as early as September, make sure you shop quick and smart- these pieces won't be around for long.

Last night's Met Gala saw the global style set descending upon New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art with ferocious aplomb. Nicknamed "Fashion Prom", we expected no less than the very best from those in attendance. Unfortunately however, some didn't quite make the cut!

This year's theme was China: Through the Looking Glass. And here's what our fave celebs came up with...

Kendall Jenner dazzled in Calvin Klein while RiRi's attempts to hog the red carpet were actually successful; thanks to her canary yellow curtain style gown by Guo Pei. Yes, Chinese royalty were adorned in "golden" (not yellow) garb and RiRi might've been in Coldplay's Princess of China but an Empress she does not make!

Rosie Huntington-Whitely had no trouble whatsoever keeping the cameras on her - with a revealing yet tasteful champagne Versace gown showing off her curves. Sadly for the usually en pointe Sarah Jessica Parker, the Sex and the City star went a step too far with her Philip Treacy custom head dress. Next time Carrie, stick a flower in your hair! Chinese princesses were all about floral hair accessories, trust me.

Claire Danes looked a vision in Valentino; keeping her look sleek and elegant. While the silhouette may have been simple, the forest green pleated skirt is truly mesmerising. Unfortunately for Bey's little sis Solange Knowles, perhaps she should've simply kept her head down after last year's elevator fiasco. We're sure she didn't want to be out-staged by Bey but Giles Deacon should really know better than to turn clients into walking metallic shellfish...

Red carpet besties Karlie Kloss and Gigi Hadid shone in Versace and Diane von Furstenberg, respectively. However, the Olsen twins shared no such luck. Sticking it to The Man once more, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen went all-black-everything/gothic grandeur (and looked pretty pasty too...)

Lastly, English rose and James Bond's wife (SOB) Rachel Weisz cut an elegant figure in Chanel while for the first time ever, we've had to do something truly shocking...

Put Cara Delevingne on the Worst Dressed list!
