Baz Luhrmann's classic film Romeo + Juliet is turning 20 this month! The film adaptation of the William Shakespeare play, Romeo and Juliet, turned heads because of Luhrmann's decision to transport the characters to the modern-day setting of Verona (well, OK- modern for 1996) while simultaneously remaining true to the original script. It won more than a dozen awards across the globe and was even nominated for an Oscar.

It's often been credited as the movie that first put Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes in the public spotlight as serious actors. Luhrmann has previously admitted that while Leo was always his number one pick for Romeo, her originally wanted Natalie Portman for Juliet. Upon seeing the two actors together, though, Luhrmann made the executive decision to go with Claire Danes instead.

For its 20th anniversary today, Luhrmann is releasing unseen production materials for the first time ever! The Australian director made the announcement through Twitter last week, delighting fans when he said that he and his team would be reviewing old archives and posting new materials. Here it is, in his own words:

It was an extraordinary creative journey, the likes of which I'm sure the cast, crew, and close collaborators will never quite experience again. Many doubted the preposterous ambition of setting Shakespeare's beloved tragic romance in a heightened creative world, with a then relatively unknown Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes.

But we did make it, overcoming incredible odds filming entirely in Mexico. Over the next 7 days, the team and I are going to go through our unpublished archives and, as a celebration of time passing, release previously unseen items leading up to R+J's 20th birthday. Think of it as a big shoutout to Shakespeare himself, whose 400th anniversary is this year.

Luhrmann started to make good on his promises almost immediately after his announcement, also through his Twitter account. He posted a story board for the famous gas station scene, images of Montague costume designs, a story board for Benvolio's death, and a story board for Vizcaya, the Capulet mansion.

It's very cool to get a sneak peek at what goes on behind the silver screen and to learn about the collaborative creative process. Whether you're a huge fan of the movie Romeo + Juliet, or just someone who enjoys learning more about how movies are made, you'll get a kick out of these boards and extra materials. Follow Luhrmann on Instagram and Twitter for more!

Since doing Romeo + Juliet back in 1996, Luhrmann has worked on several amazing movies, including Moulin Rouge in 2001, and also the revamp of another classic tale, The Great Gatsby, in 2013.

He has only positive things to say about R+J stars Leonardo and Claire Danes, and hinted that he's always on the lookout for another project in which he'll get to collaborate with Leo. We'll keep our fingers crossed for his future movies!

P.S. If you had anything to do with the making of the film, or are simply just a fan and want to share, don't hold back. Though I'm still getting down with "the get down", the team and I so much enjoy looking at everything."

Celine Dion has been hitting the sidewalks of Paris lately looking ready for the catwalk! The Canadian singer has been showing off some killer outfits on her trips to couture shows this week, but she saved the best one for the end of the week: an oversized Vetements hoodie emblazoned with Jack and Rose from Titanic - cute on anyone, but perfect on her!

We love her funky hoodie, paired with light jeans and classic aviators. And iiiii-iiiiii-iiiiiiiiiii will always love youuuu...

With his new primetime spot on CBS, James Corden is back with our favourite Carpool Karaoke skit and this time, none other than Jennifer Lopez escorts James on his journey to work.

As they belt out some Jenny from the Block classics, we fall in love a little more with JLO (who knew that was even possible?!) when she lets James text Leonardo Dicaprio off her phone...

Watch above to see what happens and let us know who you'd love to see in the next edition of Carpool Karaoke!

Margot, you're a brilliant actress but your lipreading skills need some serious work!

The gorgeous Aussie actress appeared on The Tonight Show and played the whisper game with Jimmy Fallon, only to fail spectacularly at trying to guess his phrases.

We mean a 'Buzzing Beach' when he says 'Bondi Beach'? Come on Margot, that was an easy one!

The biggest laugh comes however when she hysterically repeats her guess of 'Lama Shoe' when the correct answer is in fact 'Labradoodle'.

He DID it...Leo FINALLY won the Oscar.

After having the internet in a firenze for years, countless memes and non stop talk of it, we can all relax because Leo finally won the award he’s always deserved. Maybe it’s the fact that he’s been in every movie that had a special place in our hearts growing up, maybe it’s because he was a lot of our first crushes or maybe it really is the fact that is is one of the best actors out there and deserves this awards.

Whatever it may be, we all wanted this for Leo and I felt like I needed to celebrate after last night more than he did !For his acceptance speech he did not thank the internet (although I still think he should have said SOMETHING about us rallying for him) but instead used his time to wake us all up about what’s going on with the earth, our politics and that now is the time to change.

Leave it to Leo to be humble, make a statement and look damn good while doing it. Get his winning look!

Neither Leonardo DiCaprio's publicist nor we could handle seeing another round of crying memes so when he finally took home the Academy Award for Best Actor at last night's Oscars, we whooped and cheered as the collective power of the Leo D prayer circle succeeded in its mission.

Making Kate Winslet burst into tears of joy (or was it tears of relief?) as he went up to collect his award, The Revenant star's well-rehearsed spiel about climate change hinted he cared a lot more about having his moment than he'd been letting on for the past few months.

With so much of the attention focussed on Leo's big win, Best Supporting Actor Mark Rylance (Bridge of Spies), Best Actress Brie Larson (Room) and Best Supporting Actress Alicia Vikander (The Danish Girl) humoured him as they celebrated his success.

In other Oscars news, Comedian Chris Rock opened the ceremony with a monologue in which he joked that "Jada [Pinkett-Smith] boycotting [the] Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna's panties - I wasn't invited." Additionally, Ms. Vikander and Michael Fassbender's relationship status was made official with a very public kiss as she leapt to her feet upon winning Best Supporting Actress!

While the rest of us were moping at home or out with our sweethearts, the stars celebrated Valentine's Day on the red carpet at The Royal Opera House in London for the BAFTAs where they paraded their carefully chosen designer garbs.

Highlights from the evening include Rebel Wilson's acknowledgement that the BAFTAs include "diverse members", her kiss cam snog with Eddie Izzard, Leo wining Best Actor for his role in The Revenant, Brie Larson winning Best Actress for The Room (but being unable to collect her award) and Stephen Fry's awkward joke about Mad Max costume designer Jenny Beavan being a "bag lady."

As for red carpet favourites, Cate Blanchett, Dakota Johnson and Alicia Vikander wowed at the event in their Alexander McQueen, Louis Vuitton and Dior. Despite losing out to Star Wars actor John Boyega for the Rising Star award, Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota appeared to be enjoying herself.

Scroll through our gallery to see more from the event and WATCH Rebel's hilarious speech at the podium whilst presenting the supporting actor award.

Awards season is in full swing and what better way to kick it off than the SAG awards. This year’s was definitely one to remember with a lot of memorable moments and exciting wins. The fashion? Oh yeah, that was stunning too (as always). Here are some of our favorite moments at the SAG awards!

With a lot of controversies surrounding the LGBT communities, Jeffrey Tambor made an impactful dedication for his win for Transparent and dedicated them to the LGBT community, He stated “I play Maura Pfefferman, and she’s very entitled and she has a lot of money, and I would just like to dedicate this award to the non-Maura Pfeffermans, who don’t have a lot of cash, for their operations, for their medicine, for their freedom — thank you very much.” he said. Beautifully said and well deserved.

This is a big one! Leo won! (YES!) After being nominated 9 times (NINE) he finally took home a winner. It looks like all these meme’s floating around might be in his favor, let’s hope his luck continues with the Oscars!

Another lovely Leo moment was after he was announced the winner he kissed and hugged his former co-star Kate Winslet. Talk about dreams coming true! Life made, amiright?

Orange is the New Black (OITNB) had a big night taking home the win for Outstanding TV Comedy Cast (another well deserved award) with one of it’s own taking home another TWO awards. Uzo Aduba won SAG awards for Best Actress in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

Uzo Aduba had a great night and aside from 2 big wins, she had a hot date by her said. She took none other than her Prom Date to the awards show. "He asked me to the prom, I said yes," she wrote. "I asked him to SAGs, he said yes.” Cuuuuuuute!

Lastly, another highlight, from one of SAG’s big winners of the night, British actor and “Luther” star, Idris Elba gave a nod to the #OscarsSoWhite controversy with a one liner introduction to Beasts of No Nation:  “Welcome to diverse TV”.

Early last year, there were rumours aplenty that Rihanna and Leonardo DiCaprio had entered into a semi-promising romance. Later on, Rihanna was linked to Lewis Hamilton when they were spotted together at the Kadooment Day parade in Barbados.

On Sunday night however, Rihanna was once again seen with Leo - this time at Paris nightclub L'Arc (the intended go-to venue for "beautiful people and trendsetters" set up by Lenny Kravitz).

The stars reportedly looked intimate but TMZ claims there was only a friendly greeting in which kisses on the cheek were exchanged as Rihanna was in fact out with Cara Delevingne.

Fans of Leo, we have fantabulous news in store!

Rumour has it that after being nominated four times (yes, four!), Leonardo DiCaprio is finally in line for that coveted Academy Award for his role in The Revenant.

I mean, why wouldn't he be? He not only filmed at minus 30 degress, but also had a close encounter with a bear and devoured a raw liver.

To this, here's what the collective charmer fo our hearts has to say: "I am so grateful to the Academy for their recognition of this film. Making The Revenant was one of the most rewarding and collaborative experiences of my life. None of this would have been possible without Alejandro [González Iñárritu]'s talent, vision, and determination. Our dedicated crew also deserves to share in this moment. Together, they have created a truly unique cinematic experience. Congratulations to all of my fellow nominees this season. Thank you to the Academy." (via Popsugar.)

Meanwhile, we treat you to the stills from top 10 movies of his career!! #throwback

Plus an edit that will allow you to shop his style.
