While the first couple of days are great to check out the work of lesser-known talent, LFW brings out the big guns by Day 3!

On this day, we saw some big names (designers and actresses alike), and their exciting resort collections left us on a high. Here are our top 5.

Payal Singhal
This designer's collection gave us major 1930s vibes! We were dazzled by her use of fringes and beads, which, combined with a liberal use of gold accents, gave us a luxe vibe. Plus, we couldn't take our eyes off Diana Penty's old world glam that fit in perfectly with this collection.

Label by Ritu Kumar
Ritu Kumar's Maharaja Pop collection gave us major royalty vibes, along with a hint of military chic. We fell in love with the dazzling motifs, and splashes of colour on neutral bases. Her showstopper, Vaani Kapoor, looked gorgeous in a black outfit that combined appliqué with net.

Falguni Shane
Peacock The excitement was palpable for FSP's first LFW show in 6 years! The theme of their collection, titled "The Rebel", was an explosion of cool tones like silver and blue, paired with warmer tones like champagne. All pieces were finished off with a sheer robe, which added a unique touch to them. Bipasha Basu was an eye-grabbing showstopper in a nude, embellished outfit and a snatched ponytail.

SVA Couture
SVA's collection was all about chic neutrals and pastels. Think wide-legged pants and flared tops with cinched waists. We loved how the closing outfit totally popped, though—Nimrat Kaur brought the gorgeous red-and-gold lehenga to life alright!

Farah Sanjana
This collection perfectly channeled our inner little girls who loved to wear flared skirts and twirl around all day! We loved the gorgeous matching co-ord sets with flowy floral skirts and crop tops, combined with soft neutrals. And Kiara Advani was the cutest showstopper ever!

January is a great month for fashion, as it rolls award season as well as wedding season into one huge ball of high fashion goodness. Which usually also means that Bollywood's celebs are flaunting their finest out in the streets, leading to some killer best dressed lists! Here's this week's roundup:

1) Katrina Kaif: Kat was recently spotted in a gorgeous nude gown, complete with white embroidery and embellishments all over. Paired with a neutral glowy face of makeup, this look is summery glam at it's finest!

2) Sonakshi Sinha: We love love loved her white lehenga look, complete with the most stunning white and green jewellery to match. Not to mention that fierce winged eyeliner to bring an extra hit of desi swag to her outfit!

3) Sarah Jane Dias: Contrasting with Sonakshi's opulent white lehenga, Sarah was recently spotted in a grungy all-black outfit, which was paired perfectly with a dark smoky eye and relaxed curls in her hair. We thought her night out look was an absolute winner, and flaunted her body perfectly!

4) Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra: Back to the shaadi vibes, Alia was spotted at a friend's wedding in a beautiful white lehenga too! And the perfect accessory to her outfit? Sidharth Malhotra in a suit, of course! The two looked amazing together, and Alia's petite frame in that outfit was goals af.

5) Sonam Kapoor: It ain't no best dressed list without a mention of Sonam Kapoor, amirite? She shared some photos of a black and white ensemble she wore recently, and we think it's lovely! Preppy fashion was taken to a whole new level, as she paired her simple white top and black skirt with black boots and a coat to match.

You know what a new week means - time to look for some fashion inspiration to get us through! As per usual, our favourite Bollywood babes have been all over Instagram with their weekly style choices, and we're here to tell you what's hot.

1) Anushka Manchanda: We've always loved her eclectic style, and this week we spotted it once again. She shared a picture of herself wearing this very interesting hair accessory piece, sort of like a cage for her topknot hairstyle. Definitely not something we've seen before, but definitely something to look into purchasing!

2) Sonakshi Sinha: Sonakshi's Instagram posts lately have been pure gold. From desi glam in a blue and pink lehenga to chilled out vibes in a jersey and sneakers, she's been switching up her aesthetic by the day. We love it!

3) Alia Bhatt: Alia recently shared a picture of herself in an adorable shirt dress, reverse layered with a navy blue lacey overlay. Paired with some strappy heels and a killer smile, this ootd had us obsessed.

4) Karisma Kapoor: Bollywood royalty always knows how to step out in style, just ask Karisma Kapoor! She recently wore a mesmerising black gown with red accents, paired perfectly with some classic curls. Loving the dark winter vibes on you, Lolo!

5) Shraddha Kapoor: This lovely lady was recently spotted promoting her new film OK Jaanu, wearing a red dress and nude heels. A classic pairing, a classic colour, a classic look!

A new trend has come about in this week's best dressed, and it is formal clothing! Bollywood's beauties have taken to embracing classic formal pieces, and incorporating them into fresh and funky looks. Here's how -

1) Shilpa Shetty Kundra:
This stunner took to a more ethnic approach to her formal clothing item, and paired it with a stunning red and gold lehenga, and a chunky statement necklace. This fresh spin on a classic button down shirt has inspired us to embrace fusion clothing as well!

2) Shraddha Kapoor:
A flowy knee-length skirt is always a classic hit. But trust Shraddha Kapoor to add her own grunge flair to it, by pairing her skirt with a casual denim button down shirt! This makes an otherwise formal skirt more street style friendly, which we love.

3) Sonakshi Sinha:
Lately, Sonakshi has been spotted in a lot of business casual outfits, and we've been loving that aesthetic on her! This week she opted for a striped button down shirt, and make it casual by folding up the sleeves messily. She completed the look with casual pieces such as a choker or ankle boots, which added an interesting contrast to her outfit.

4) Tamannah:
Nothing screams "queen bee" than a woman in a suit, and Tamannah is seemingly all about that life. She switched up her classic black suit by incorporating an embellished floral design onto her blazer. This helps not only make a plain black piece more eyecatching, but adds a feminine touch as well!

5) Sarah Jane Dias:
You can never go wrong with a plain white tee; just ask Sarah Jane Dias! She paired her casual tee with high waisted, wide-legged pants. This was accompanied by an adorable quilted backpack and a statement necklace, which gave her outfit a more chilled out vibe.

People generally shy away from investing in a Lehanga because there is a common notion that it would be worn only once and then it wont be used again. This story is all about breaking that myth.

Look 1: Wear it with a white shirt
I paired my lehanga with a white shirt and some silver jewellery and a pair of oversized clear classes. A loose side braid and voila.

Look 2: Quirk it up
Can you ever think of wearing your lehanga with a slip dress? Sounds weird right? I paired my lehenga with a black satin and lace slip dress and some quirky accessories and I absolutely love how it turned out.

Look 3: Wear your Lehenga as an off shoulder kurta.
You heard that right! I wore my Lehanga as an off shoulder kurta and paired it with matching leggings and a net duppatta and golden flats.

Carry these festive looks with loads of confidence and festive spirit, to rock this Diwali!

Amazon India Fashion Week kicked off in Delhi on the 12th, and as always, the shows have been tremendously exciting!

Here's our crème de la crème of the trends we spotted and fell in love with on the first two days.

Simple and contemporary ethnic @ Raw Mango
Sanjay Garg's label Raw Mango is well known for its love of chanderi and Varanasi silk, and it remained true to that this year too. We were stunned by Aditi Rao Hydari, his showstopper in a simple black and gold lehenga set and super minimal makeup.

A riot of colour @ Krishna Mehta
Krishna Mehta's "Curious Alice" collection was a treat for the eyes if you love all things colourful! There's nothing like going to fashion week and having the pleasure to watch a collection of vivid colours on luxe, flowy outfits that look comfortable as ever.

An explosion of warmth @ Virtues
Virtues by Viral, Ashish, Vikrant absolutely had to make it to this list, as its beautiful, warm, earthy terracotta tones had us floored! Singer Sona Mohapatra served as the captivating showstopper for this show, crooning some of her biggest hits as she sashayed down the runway.

Luxe comfort @ Shruti Sancheti
Shruti Sancheti's collection was the very embodiment of comfort, as it was filled with breezy flowy maxis, and effortlessly stylish baggy pants. We also loved that it didn't stick to one colour palette, but explored different tones of grey, blue, pink, and olive.

Floral bonanza @ Ashima Leena
Asheema Leena's collection gave us major goddess of earth, boho girl vibes, what with all the florals, earthy tones, and flowy silhouettes. We loved the use of hats in this collection too. Very country chic!

It's finally time for our end-of-the-week compilation of the best celebrity outfits we saw in the past week!

Here are our top 5 picks.

(P.S.: Once you're done seeing the looks, you can shop them all below!)

Alia Bhatt in denim on denim
Alia rocked a light denim cami top and jeans, which she finished with a long white jacket and black slip-ons. The definition of stylish while travelling!

Sayami Kher in lehenga + crop top
We always love a little Indo-western sartorial magic, so we obviously adore this lehenga + crop top combo that Sayami rocked at a recent event.

Jennifer Winget in embellished jeans
This outfit was the perfect combination of chic and funky, in our opinion—a crisp white shirt with an elegant gold stripe down the middle, embellished jeans, and classic nude pumps.

Taapsee Pannu in a striped dress
Taapsee has caught our eye ever since her superb performance in Pink, and she gave us major nautical vibes in this striped dress.

Kareena Kapoor Khan in olive green
Oh, mama mia! It's no secret that Kareena's been slaying us with her maternity style lately, but this outfit was on a whole new level. Bebo looked absolutely smouldering in this olive green maxi with a thigh-high slit! And we love that she kept the footwear nude so that the focus would be on the dress.

Since festive season is right around the corner with Dussehra, Diwali, and Bhai Dooj coming up, we're all gearing up to pull our ethnic outfits from our closet.

But why stick to the same old lehengas and salwar suits when you can put a cool sartorial twist on your outfit and stand out of the crowd?

So take some inspiration from our fave bloggers, and spice up your ethnic-wear a little!

Use a long kurta as a dress
Grab your favourite long kurta, and use it as a dress with a belt around the waist, and a sleeveless jacket to finish the look.

Use a maxi skirt as a lehengas
By using a skirt instead of an actual lehenga, your outfit gets a fun Western touch to it!

Use a patiala salwar as pants
Simply pair with a crop top for a fun Indo-western outfit.

Make a cape top out of a lehengas
Have a heavy lehenga lying around that you find too boring to wear? Get a little creative, and ask a tailor to use the lower part of the lehenga to design a flared cape top. Pair with a different, more modern lehenga in a contrasting shade.

Pair a plain salwar with an embroidered top
This combo sits in the perfect boho-cum-ethnic sweet spot!

Our fave b-town divas are not only pro at western wear but also look picture-perfect in traditional clothing, which many of them were spotted in recently. Saris or salwar kameez, they know what combination works best and it's giving us major inspiration. Here's some photos of our fave divas who rocked saris and salwar kameez and we can't help but feel excited.

Check our Nargis in a gorgeous pink-studded salwar suit. We really like how it looks on her and we're in love with the colour!

Karishma recently appeared at an event in an all white silk sharara which is giving us major envy!

We recently also spotted Malaika Arora Khan in a gorgeous golden sharara and gold necklace which we think is perfect for any event!

Jacqueline on the other hand took our breath away in a yellow floral lehenga while Kareena kept it simple in a white kurta.

Which look did you like the best?

We at Shopcade love a good magazine cover, and this month there are two that have got us in love—Harper's Bazaar and Bazaar Bride.

The Harper's Bazaar cover features Priyanka Chopra in a short black studded dress, slicked back hair and her signature neutral makeup.

As for Bazaar Bride, the cover girl is the beautiful Nimrat Kaur. She is seen wearing a red lehenga, and some beautiful silver jewellery.

We can't pick which one we like more, because they're both so gorgeous!

Who said a choli is the only thing you can pair with a lehenga? We say treat your lehenga more like a beautiful maxi skirt, and pair it with something a little "hatke"!

One idea is to pair it with a crop top. This still retains some of the ethnic vibe as it's similar to a choli, but since the design of the crop top would be more western, it gives the whole outfit a more Indo-western vibe. Stick to a basic black crop top so that the embroidery on your lehenga does all the talking. To up the badass quotient further, pair the outfit with boots!

You can also get a shirt (take a loose one from your own wardrobe, or swipe one from dad's!), leave the bottom three buttons open, and tie it in a knot. Makes for the perfect fusion look when paired with a lehenga!

If you still want to keep with the ethnic theme and still switch it up, ditch the choli and get an anarkali made to go with your lehenga instead. This makes for a perfect outfit for festive occasions, and will give you that regal, Mughal vibe.
