If you haven’t already, it’s time to update your wardrobe for summer. Now the weather’s warmer we can't wait to free our feet from two seasons of confinement and rock a pair of sandals. From, pretty lace-ups to embellished, flat or heeled styles our Editors have selected an array of the best sandals to wear all summer long...

For the office

When you have only a few minutes to get ready for work a slide that just slides on is the dreams. Opt for sleek sandals and pair them with fitted black pants, a crisp white shirt, an XXL bag and your signature sunnies.

For the beach

The beach beckons with temperatures rising so go for a kimono, a one-piece swimsuit, denim shorts and flat sandals to look chic and comfy all day long.

For a cookout

BBQ invites tend to multiply as soon as we reach the summer. Get over the dilemma of what to wear by the opting for an elevated pair with laces, pom-poms or embellishments.

For cocktails

Let loose in a pair of Greek-style sandals that’ll allow you to dance the night away. Style them with an LBD a leather jacket and a teeny-tiny clutch for your lipstick, keys and phone.

Before you invest in your new summer sandals, take a look at our gallery for more outfit inspiration and shop our Editors' picks from the list below...

Well it is no surprise that of all the jackets in stock his season my favourite trend is animal print. I am down for anything that is covered in animal print - especially leopard. Ganni is a brand I only recently discovered but have not stopped wishing I could afford since. This Ganni jacket is uber cool. This could be thrown on over anything. Jeans and trainers would be a classic look but equally wear it with an LBD and some heels and it will still work. Oh I want it. Image: Ganni/Vogue.com

There's nothing new about the allure of a white shoe. Dominating the 80's, this hue has been gaining ground as a certified new addition to footwear, since last season. After the white trainer boom (which is still going strong by the way) this shade has become popular in all shapes and sizes: Whether they're slingbacks, "ugly" trainers, ankle boots, thigh-high boots or your basic pumps white shoes are everywhere.

There's something about this particular colour that elevates each outfit to rich status especially if you keep them in a pristine condition. They've also received a lot of designer approval from Vetements to Rejina Pyo or Topshop making sure that they have evolved from their 80's version to a current aesthetic.

This season was a great example of pure sophistication when it comes to white shoes. We had the chance to feast our eyes on some pretty impressive street style photography of slouchy boots, spiky stilettos or flats including mules and loafers. Now if you want to really nail top-of-the-art glam pair them in juxtaposition with black accessories or clothing. Think of your basic LBD paired with thigh-high boots and a furry black bag for a very chic evening look.

For a smart-casual approach team a pair of white slingbacks with leggings and the uber-elegant vinyl trench. For some extra modern appeal make sure your trench is in a checked pattern and add a pair of extra slim sunnies with coloured lenses.

This Spring more so than ever is about comfortable elegance. Fashion designers have tapped into our need for practical clothing that are equal parts chic and responds to our ever demanding lifestyle. This motto explains the rise of the embellished trainer. This micro trend has kept us conflicted as an item that you either hate or absolutely love.

Apart from the obvious comfort factor, there's a very distinct cool aesthetic infused to the trainer, in the sense that you just don't care so much about what you put on your feet but then the embellishment adds that surprise glam detail, that draws the entire outfit together. The third pro for obtaining a pair of embellished trainers is its versatility. Due to its duality as both a smart casual choice of footwear and also as an urban staple, you can wear it with almost anything hanging in your wardrobe:

For an everyday daytime outfit wear a white pair of embellished sneakers with a pair of oversized denim jeans, a fitted sweater, a cool scarf for colour and your trench coat of choice. Add some accessories for an extra sparkle effect.

For an athleisure look pair your glitter footwear with a pair of leggings, a cropped top, a hoodie and a leather jacket. Opt for a backpack that shares colours and details from your trainers to make your look more cohesive.

For a fun night out with the girls when you know you'll be dancing the night away, pair your comfy sparkly sneakers with an LBD, a sequinned jacket, and a tiny clutch. Add some sparkle to your make up and enjoy your night heel-free!

We're just a hop away from Easter and even though you wouldn't necessarily associate the holiday with fashion there are definitely a few outfits that can be absolute sartorial lifesavers during the long weekend. Whether you're spending your time with your beau on an exotic destination, having a cool getaway with friends or catching up with friends and family for a relaxing holiday back home here are a few of the trends you can try this Season:

Egg Hunt Chic

You can't possibly without a basket bag. Thankfully one of the biggest trends of the season is the wicker bag. Pair your stylish wicker accessory with a floral spring dress, hair accessories, comfy sandals and a leather jacket for chilly weather.

Family Dinner

For a family dinner opt for comfortable elegance. Go for a Victorian-inspired dress with comfy ankle boots a blanket scarf and an oversized bag to store all that takeaway Easter chocolate.

Couple Time

For a quality time abroad with your loved one choose an outfit that is chic yet practical. Take Zendaya's example and go for oversized tent pants paired with a matching crop top and sandals. Finish your look with a bold red lip and an essentials-only clutch.

Friends Getaway

For a quick Spring break weekend with your best mates, choose an outfit that allows you to enjoy your time without compromising your style. Try the embellished sneaker trend and mix it with an LBD some glitter makeup and a cross body bag that frees your arms for fist-pumping and dancing all night long.

We've lost the genius of sophisticated fashion. As Hubert de Givenchy passed away last week, I devote this list to the genius of the little black dress. Best known for Audrey Hepburn's unforgettable little black dress in the beginning of Breakfast at Tiffany's, Givenchy has created a sensation over the elegant black dress. Any length, the little black dress is always a saviour of the day. Get it from Audrey herself, the little black dress is always the best option in any occasion! #lbd #givenchy

The "ugly" shoe trend is making the rounds still, across catwalks and street style alike. The only difference is that more designers are getting in on the trend and are creating their own versions. Demna Gvasalia for Balenciaga made this legit with those chunky Triple S sneakers that are still selling out while also introducing the sky-high Croc Platforms. At Loewe, Jonathan Anderson's offering of curled-toe sneakers presents the most unpredictable fashion choice.

There are many other favourites like Birkenstocks that are sought after by many street style stars and Insta influencers. This is widely attributed to the rise of ironic trends by brands like Vetements and Gucci. Maybe we're redefining the meaning of "beauty" where "ugly" in 2018 can be a good thing. But more than anything, women are embracing their practical side and are sanctioning a trend that has predated 2018.

The difference is that now, hopefully, women will not feel obliged to change the sneakers they wore to their commute for a pair of heels. Maybe it's not all about women, and it's more about the relaxed approach towards business attire, whereas in the past suit would be the only choice now, employees in most startups or tech companies are dressed in jeans, jackets and sneakers.  The styling tips for wearing the ugly trainer is that there aren't any. Wear them with dresses, your LBD, a vinyl skirt, with dungarees or slacks, and you'll still look uber fashionable.

Wow. We’re going to start by analysing Lawrence’s look at a photocall for her new thriller ‘Red Sparrow’ earlier this week objectively before we weigh in on the sexist row it provoked. Because we haven’t seen such a figure-flaunting, spotlight-stealing LBD since Liz Hurley’s vintage Versace safety pin dress in 1994; a point that’s been widely made by #10;http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-5412753/Jennifer-Lawrence-steals-style-Elizabeth-Hurley.html
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-5412753/Jennifer-Lawrence-steals-style-Elizabeth-Hurley.html
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-5412753/Jennifer-Lawrence-steals-style-Elizabeth-Hurley.html">fashion commentators. And even though the Oscar winner’s dress is also by Versace doesn’t have the same punkish hardware, talk about bootylicious! Lawrence defines her hourglass figure and shows off all of her assets at once thanks to plunging neckline and thigh high slit confidently and shamelessly. Kudos to her for that. Accompanied by smoky eyes, a single gold bracelet, single strap heels and unexpectedly windswept hair, she looks amazing.

The look is problematic for some, however, because Lawrence’s showing an awful lot of skin for a windy winter’s day and her male co-stars were well-wrapped up in comparison. To them, the situation seems to reinforce sexist stereotypes the #TimesUp movement is trying to dispel, despite the dress being black. New Statesman’s deputy editor Helen Lewis tweeted “This is such a quietly depressing (and revealing) image… True equality mean either Jennifer Lawrence getting a coat, or Jeremy Irons having to pose for a photocell in assless chaps” which subsequently went viral. But Lawrence herself gave the best clapback in a lengthy Facebook statement where she asserted her right to wear whatever she wants. “This is not only utterly ridiculous, I am extremely offended. That Versace dress was fabulous, you think I'm going to cover that gorgeous dress up with a coat and a scarf?” Touché. A woman after our own hearts. We’re loving Lawrence’s body confidence at the moment as this outfit follows the incredible plunging metallic gown she wore at the London premiere.

You've seen them on Kaia Gerber, the Hadid sisters can't get enough. It’s the ultimate winter staple and comeback item from the 90’s the era of grunge and tea dresses. It’s the easy way to toughen up any girly outfit and infuse it with some much-needed edge. Even before the Chicago grunge era of Nirvana and Courtney Love combat boots such as Dr. Martens, were causing head waves across the country with the punk rock of movement in all its vinyl, PVC and fishnet glory.

For 2018, the vibe is muted and nuanced. Although we may see lots of touches from the previously mentioned punk trends, the styling now has an amazing way of looking elegant and put together though maintaining that tough, rocker edge.

Combat boots are also surprisingly complimentary to all shapes and sizes. They come with that tiny rubber heel that gives a few cheeky inches to a petite figure. Also, it has a very clever slimming effect. The chunkiness of the boot actually juxtaposes to the calf and elongates the leg as a result. Nothing wrong with that!

Go for a full 90's resurgence look by sporting your combat boots with a frilly tea dress, minimal make-up and a knit cardigan.

Try a student look and style your boots with a pair of denim shorts, a trench coat and a cool red beret.

Opt for an 80's look by adding a LBD and fishnets.

For an up-to-date take on the trend, mix a slip dress under an oversized knit and finish the look with a pair of white Dr. Martens.

Fashion Week, of course, isn't just about the clothes but what the designers are styling them with. Jewellery has such an effect on an outfit, transforming that LBD from 9-5 to cocktail hour in a hot second. Tom Ford is known for being sleek and chic with just a bit of drama, that's what keeps it fun right? Kaia looked insane in this look in the recent Tom Ford show. These earrings are more than statement, they're over-statement and I love it. The simple smoky eye and nude lip work perfectly with the glam jewellery and obviously her hair is pulled back, not a focal point needed in this look. Incredible. Image: Vogue
