Thankfully the Nike Air Max 97s popped up on our feed just as we were ready to move on from the still great but pretty ubiquitous Vans ‘Old Skool’ monochrome sneakers. Sleek, futuristic, and inspired by Japanese bullet trains, the sneaker style made a massive comeback in 2017 20 years on, in colourways ranging from classic black and white, to metallics, pastels and triple tones. Grime artist Skepta even dropped his own in collaboration with Nike and women have really lead the charge by styling theirs in fresh and unexpected ways we’re dying to recreate.

Model Paloma Elsesser teamed hers with trackies, WAH Nails creator Sharmadean Reid wore them with a bohemian-ish midi dress, while The Working Women’s Club founder Phoebe Lovatt paired hers with white jeans. Never mind the countless hypebaes, sneakerheads and streetstyle stars who have proved how great they look laced up with printed trousers, mini dresses and more. Proof, if you needed more, that ’90s style brought bang up to date is still going strong and these are the ultra-cool alternative to any other shoe: even on a night out. What’s even better is that these styles are still kind of semi-exclusive so not everyone is wearing them.

Shop your favourite colour in our Nike Air Max 97 sneaker edit below.

The corset belt is having a moment! Its time to update your look with a unique accessory. The corset has been modernised. Lucinda Chambers, British Vogue’s fashion director styled Zoe Ghertner in a corset and an oversized shirt in early 2017, forming a new silhouette. The waist is the focus here, to emphasise your shape.

Striped shirts look great- as do plain white cotton or neutral colours, or shirts with exagerrated sleeves as seen in the SS17 Jacquemus show. The best thing about the corset- it can be worn during the day, at work, brunch or at night with a dress. These belts are buckled or laced and adjustable to fit your waist, it is both incorporated in t- shirts and sold as separates.

Shopcade has put together the favourites. We recommend you wear the corset with a dress, t-shirt or an oversized shirt.

Christmas time is a great excuse to overindulge. It's the one time of year when it's completely acceptable to have mince pies and prosecco before 10am. After a week of eating everything sweet, laced in butter and full of preservatives, drinking all the eggnog, mulled wine and champagne, we're all in need of a serious health kick. But where to start? Follow our handy guide below...

1. Set Realistic Resolutions

New Year's resolutions that are farfetched, like losing three stone in a few months or completely changing your diet, set you up for failure. Instead, set yourself smaller goals that are easier to accomplish, then build on them. Signing up to two yoga classes a week, drinking 1 litre more of water a day, eating your 5 a day.- you get the picture.

2. Try A New Sport

A good way to motivate yourself is to find something that's new, exciting and fun- slogging back to your usual gym routine won't give you that much needed post-Christmas buzz. Why no try Pure Barre, Zumba, kickboxing, step aerobics, basketball- the list is endless!

3. Focus On Your Mental Health, Too

A health kick means everything, not just physical. You won't be in a good place physically if you aren't mentally and vice versa. Christmas can send our mental heath into overdrive- the stress, hectic schedules and alcohol can be damaging. Recenter and focus on yourself, why not try an app like Headspace? It's great for giving you a few minuets of calm each day. A new year is a great time to reprioritise- put yourself first, open up to loved ones, get out of damaging situations. These are all easier said than done, I know, but setting goals is a good start.

Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

Office parties, they're even more laced with office politics than any other usual day. So how do you have fun at your work's Christmas do but not make a massive tit of yourself? Well, read this guide and try and remember it whilst you neck your 10th glass of prosecco.

1) Don't Shag The Boss

It doesn't matter if "he's really fit", Daniel Cleaver was really fit and look how that worked out for poor Bridget. It doesn't matter if they have a glass walled office, amazing suits and more money than you can dream of- shagging your boss is a sure way to get fired and/or make the rest of your work life painfully awkward. If you really want to shag a co-worker, which can't be advised, go for the intern- at least they'll be out of there in a few months.

2) Do Mingle

It's tempting to only hang out with your IRL friends at the office Christmas party, but you do that every other day of the year. This is a chance to get to know some new faces, and find out if boring Bob really is that  boring.

3) Don't Get Hammered

Get tipsy, merry and even drunk. Just not hammered. Do not throw up in front of your boss, or do a strip tease for the IT guys, or dance on the tables (and no doubt face plant). It'll give everyone enough stories to last them until the next festive season, but you really don't want to be the butt of that joke.

4) Do Stay The Distance

Leaving early is never a good look at a work party- stay till the end and network, you don't want to look like you just came to drain the free booze and dash. Even if that is the truth.

5) Do Dress Appropriately

This one depends on your office environment, but as a general rule of thumb, don't wear something very controversial. Your mates may love that rude slogan jumper, or that plunge dress, but your boss may not. Save it for another time (shop our work party wear suggestions in the edit below).

6) Don't Cry

There is always one. ALWAYS. Please don't cry, if you know white wine makes you sob then stick to gin. It's awkward for everyone.

7) Don't Bitch About Work

Few shots down you and you decide it's the perfect time to rant about every reason you hate where you work. Please, for the love of god, keep it to yourself. Save it for after work drinks with your IRL friends/work colleagues- the whole office doesn't need to know. K?

8) Do Have Fun

Everyone is worried about making a tit of themselves, that sometimes the fun in office parties can be lost. Try not to do anything awful, like shag your boss, but most of all just remember to have fun. Hopefully everyone will be too sloshed to remember if you do/say anything too awkward anyway.

Go forth and don't vom on your boss...

Suede and faux-suede come back into our sartorial lives every fall, it hints at the Seventies but this season as a modern edge. It's warm, versatile and sexy.

Stomp in suede with Privileged shoes, their wine red peep-toe booties are super on-trend and can be dressed up or down. Incorporate fringe into your footwear collection with their western inspired boots, or add a touch of dominatrix with their Phenom laced up knee-highs.

Want to rock the head-to-toe suede look? Then pair our Editor's fave suede shoes with Zil Boutique's Black Stripes Dress (pssst, it's at an amazing 50% off right now).

Pantsuits are all the rage with the ladies of B-town currently. They look powerful, fashionable, and flattering as heck! Here are some of our fav recent pantsuit appearances.

Katrina Kaif
Kat kept it simple in a white Isabel Marant pantsuit and kept her hair down. Very classic!

Kalki Koechlin
Kalki’s pantsuit of choice was a funky, art-pop Masaba Gupta creation in white and neon pink. Yum! We love how she put a super fun twist to a formal outfit.

Athiya Shetty
Athiya’s white pantsuit said “formal”, but the black bustier peeking through and the black choker said “seductress”! Because who said power dressing has to be straight-laced?

Gwyneth Paltrow, AKA Ol' Goopy, must be doing something right, because she seems to never age! The health-conscious actress graces the cover of Glamour this month, as she tells us more about ex-husband Chris Martin and their relationship with her and their kids.

Looking sharp and stylish in an orange Fendi dress with side cutouts and embellished pockets, she paired the dress with romantic white laced-up pumps, simple jewelry, and a high braid. A perfect outfit as we transition this Spring, shop our take on Gwyneth's look below!

From sultry to ladylike, cold weather style gets a chic thrill with the femme fabric. Lace is an elegant fabric and trim which can carry over onto everything from bags to jackets. So it's time to incorporate them to your Fall outfits, shall we?

Lace is also perfect for all the Christmas parties and White days, in which the texture compliments the mood and weather outside. I'm loving these pieces for Winter, of course layered with a beautiful coats and bags to match!

This season just got a bit more whimsical! Shop our edit of our favorite lace incorporated pieces to wear this season!

Dilette Bonaiuti SLAYING us in this little lace-up number. Not only is she wearing a super, on-trend lace up sweater but she has amazing lace-up, chunky heels to match. I love that these two elements tie into each other and also that the color palette for the look is kept neutral and classic.

The ever so changing Kylie Jenner steps out in sunny Hollywood with beau and perhaps rumored fiance, Tyga as they go out on a lunch date. The reality star, who was recently crowned as the queen of social media shows off her petite body in a skintight suede dress.

Looking more and more like her older sisters Khloe and Kim every single day, Kylie paired her dress with laced up heels, wore blue contacts and braided pigtails to complete her look.

Kylie's app subscription continues to rocket taking domination over her sisters individual apps.

What do you think of Kylie's less risque, and desert queen look in her camel dress?

Loving this all black look that Bella wore while off duty at MFW. The textures are perfect and it's an edgy look without being too racy.

This look can work with any sheer top and cute bralette. You can interchange the bottoms and shoes with any other black combo that's in your closet, which is a great way to get this MFW look.

As what others have said "It Ain't No Givenchy Show Without Kanye West and Kim Kardashian". As we all know, the powerhouse couple are good friends with Givenchy's brainchild Riccardo Tisci and this show was very important as it is Givenchy's first time to show on NYFW.

The couple came to the event all decked out in black, with Kim in custom Givenchy dress of course, while showing off her baby bump in a laced, sheer black maxi dress. Kanye as usual is in his casual, yet sleek jacket, tee, and jeans ensemble. What caught the audience/spectators eyes are his shoes - he's wearing a black 750 Yeezy Boost trainers which probably is his next sneaker drop with his collaboration with Adidas.

On another Kardashian/Jenner news, Caitlyn Jenner was rumored to hit the catwalk at the Givenchy show but it didn't happen. Although Kendall Jenner hit the catwalk, marking this show as her first appearance for NYFW SS 2016 shows.

Get decked out in black like KimYe with our edit below!
