Some of Hollywood's most beautiful are fans of dermaplaning, which is a form of deep skin exfoliation and resurfacing using a scalpel blade (fancy shaving)- the blade removes the top layers of skin which reveals the healthy skin underneath, and gets rid of fine vellus (those fuzzy small hairs on your face, to you and I).

Byrdie asked Harley Street based doctor David Jack about the treament, which he revealed takes around 30 minutes. So, can you just shave your own face? Jack stated that "Face razors will exfoliate, but the angle and pressure required to properly demaplane is much more precise.

In Japan, women shave their faces as part of their regular skin routines, and it is apparently as common as tweezing your eyebrows.

Shaving your face can clear away old skin cells, prepare the skin for proudct application, brighten and clear your complexion and makes your foundation look smooth. All in all, sounds like a dream, right? Especially since, unlike men who shave daily, women are recommended to do it every two weeks.

Beauty vloggers, like Carli Bybel are fans, and even Cate Blanchett who told Byrdie last year "Look at men in their 40s and then look at women in their 40s- for me, their skin looks really good because they shave every day". Liz Taylor and Marilyn Monroe, both of whom were praised for their complextions shaved, sign us up...

Convinced yet? If not, watch the video above.

If you're a travel buff, you know how difficult it is to come to a conclusion as to where to visit for a vacay this year. But like always, we have got that bit covered for you.

Below we have put together a list of four travel destinations that are not only scenic but also very interesting.

Istanbul, Turkey
If you love Europe and Asia then chances are you'd definitely love Istanbul. Throughout this vibrant city, you'll find centuries-old mosques, churches and markets happily co-existing with modern restaurants, galleries and nightclubs.

Tokyo, Japan
This technologically advanced place is a regular favourite among travellers. The country has set an ambitious goal of doubling their tourism by 2020 by improving and updating their infrastructure (yes, all the techy jazz!) and constantly redefining its national culture. It's a must visit for all food lovers!

Mexico City
Although Mexico's beaches have always been big draws for tourists, it's not the country's capital that's drawing people. It's the history, architecture and food that we are talking about! If you're travelling between the U.S. and South America, consider planning a layover in Mexico to experience all the magic!

Havana
It isn't surprising that Cuba is a huge attraction for travellers. The first pleasure cruise and commercial flights left Florida this year for Cuba and the first U.S. owned hotel in 60 years opened its doors in Havana, which has attracted mostly youngsters between the ages of 20-35.

Toronto, Canada
Canada has a major food movement that you would love to be a part of! And if you're a Hockey fan, what other place to be than Toronto? This city is home to the Hockey Hall of Fame which you must visit if you're a fan. Let's not forget the indie music and art scene in Toronto which is so highly talked about.

Still haven't crystallised your holiday plans? Well, trust us and consider these options for your next vacacy. And while you are at it definitely check out howdini's video on packing tips, they are super handy!

Ever since its introduction to 5th century Japan, the kimono has been a firm favourite with forward thinking fashionistas. Always beautiful, a well made kimono looks classy no matter the event, as see in the above picture.

Our friend keeps it incredibly simple, wearing a pair of eye-catching red heels and matching them with a gorgeous black kimono with gold detail.

Elegant, classy and seductive.

A geisha is a traditional female Japanese entertainer who specialises in the arts. Geishas are renowned for their striking beauty, and their influence is evident in both Eastern and Western culture.

We're definitely getting a modern geisha vibe from the above picture.

Our friend looks like she took her inspiration from Feudal Japan, wearing a gorgeous long dark skirt, a black and white striped top, plus a beautiful black and yellow wrap.

A very classy take on the classic geisha look.

Following Katy Perry’s 'Pretty in Pink' cover in Vogue Japan - (September, 2015), we discover the real inner model of Katy Perry. The shoot was caught on camera by Giampaolo Squra and styled by the talented Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele.

Katy Perry’s style within the luxurious magazine is one to watch; it is striking yet classy. Dressed in a classic turtleneck to lingerie sets to the grunge Moschino Look, Katie Perry kills each look.

The stylist, Carlyne who was the stylist for Anna Wintour’s first issue (November 1988) has a magical way with clothing. Famous for mixing haute couture with everyday essentials, and bringing [her] daring attitude to clothing. Carlyne believes that fashion should highlight not only a women’s beauty but her 'confidence'!

Katy Perry masters the look as a stylish, yet powerful and CONFIDENT women!

The kimono was originally worn by the beautiful Geisha women of Japan, but the simplicity of its design and intricateness of many of the designs has made the kimono a must have fashion piece for men and women around the world.

As our friend in the above picture shows us, the key to wearing a beautiful blue kimono effectively is to keep the rest of our outfit nice and simple.

Blue denim shorts and a grey vest are perfect, and so is the dog!
