Pearls have always been a mainstay of chic women. Made famous by Coco Chanel herself, the simple, monochrome touch that a well-placed pearl necklace achieves is timeless.

Pearls are great for playing it safe so until now, they’ve been associated with twin sets and tea dresses than fashion-forward models and bloggers.

Things have changed… pearls are back in business and the bigger the better. We’re seeing pearl accessories everywhere, from the runway to our favourite fashion blogs with minimalist twists and punk accents galore.

Want to pull off pearls like a cool girl? Take a look at our round-up of the best pearly pieces to invest in for a twist on a fashion classic….

LFW is the time to bring out all those pieces in your wardrobe that you don't wear on the daily, and you should definitely let your fashion freak flag fly- because if not at fashion week, then where? Honestly it's more of a faux par to wear something boring then something quirky. But, there are some tips you should bare in mind...

1)  6 inch heels: Unless you can walk in them, in which case kudos/go for it, but if you're not a superhuman then opt for a lower heel. Fashion week involves a lot of queuing, walking around and standing at shows. Oh and uneven pavement. So don't wear brand new heels that will give you blisters and make you hobble like Bambi on ice.

2)  Something unfashionable: This should be obvious, because why would you want to attend fashion week if you have no interest in fashion. Flip flops, boot-cut jeans and a white t-shirt won't cut it, plus it will make you stand out more than wearing a multicoloured faux fur coat would.

3)  Night out attire: A body con dress, clutch bag and stilettos should be a look reserved for 16 year old girls trying to sneak into their local club underage. Not for LFW.

4)  Something you're not comfortable in: Even if you look amazing, if you're not comfortable then it isn't the right look. Doesn't matter how cute that structured crop top is, if you spend the whole day trying to hide your stomach, then you won't enjoy yourself.

5) Something just to get papped in: As mentioned above, it's better to go garish then dull, but it's very obvious when someone is wearing something purely to get photographed in. If you love an OTT look, then it won't seem fake, but it'll be written all over your face if you don't. No one likes an attention seeker.

They say the primordial rule of fashion is to avoid pairing the same fabric together, particularly when it comes to denim. The denim on denim look, fondly called the Canadian suit, is very easy to mess up. However, the mess can be avoided with just a little bit of care and our styling tips below! Here's what you need to do -

1) Don't match your denims
If you plan to wear a denim shirt or jacket with your jeans, then make sure that they are of different weights and washes. For instance, wear your favourite black distressed skinny jeans with a denim chambray shirt. This way, your denims don't clash, and your outfit still has different textures to it. Take your time to get into the double shades of blue, once you think you can handle it.

2) Rip them up
Distressed denim can be a good friend to you when pairing blue and blue denim together. It cuts through the denim and adds a grunge vibe to your look. So pair your favourite ripped denim cutoffs with a plain tee, sneakers, and a denim jacket for that perfect summery look!

3) Chic it up
Don't be afraid to add glamour to your denim look, with the help of some accessories! Try a statement red lip, or add a stunning pair of black pumps and a messy topknot to your look for a casually chic vibe.

Lip care, lip colour, and lip primer/fixers - we've got it all in our epic Lip Service edit below! Wanna know how to get luscious, kissable lips with long lasting colour? Follow these four tips to keep your lip colour slick!

1) Keep lips soft and buff by hydrating them with a dependable lip balm such as Clinique's Superbalm Lip Treatment and giving them some TLC with Bliss Fabulips Sugar Lips Scrub.

2) Mix up your lip colour by shade and texture - gloss, matte, balm - to avoid drying out your lips with the same old product each day and keep eyes glued to your ever-changing beauty look. Dab product on gently with a finger or apply with a lip brush depending on the effect you want.

3) Make lip colour last longer by gently dabbing a tissue over your finished look before leaving as is for a muted look or applying a second, less profound layer.

4) For added longevity throughout the day or night, use a lip primer before applying your lip colour to help product stain your lips more effectively or opt for a tried and tested lipstick sealer by Lipcote or Elizabeth Arden!

Looking to bring your inner badass out to play? Well, here's a thought — try on a leather jacket! These babies are a staple for transitional weather such as the type we have now, and can be worn with many different types of outfits as well!

But the leather jacket can also be a little intimidating sometimes, so here's three styling tips for you to get started on your road to becoming a baddie!

1) Don't be afraid to go all-out grunge:
Leather jackets have a tendency to make any outfit look more grungy, which can cause us to pair the jacket with otherwise basic pieces. But don't be scared of the alternative aesthetic, it's one of the most liberating out there! Pair your leather jacket with a faded oversized tee, some ripped jeans, and sneakers, and there you have a chill outfit that can be worn almost anywhere.

2) Make it feminine sometimes:
Though typically associated with dark and smoky vibes, this is not the only way in which you can wear a leather jacket. They also look extremely chic over cute lacey dresses and heels! Mixing in something unexpected with your jacket can take the edge off and make your look more feminine. However, try and opt for a cropped design, so that the dress is not overpowered.

3) Bring on the summer vibes:
Though not commonly seen, leather jackets and shorts make a killer combo! Pull out your leather jacket on a breezy but sunny day, and pair it with a fitted tank top and shorts for an effortlessly cool outfit. Don't forget to bring out your favourite sunglasses to go with it!

We talked to Satyarth Shaurya Singh, who is an independent filmmaker and the founder of LightsonFilms, a film studio based out of Mumbai that does a monthly screening of independent cinema under the banner of Peepshow @antiSocial. The other half of the duo, Namah Shah is a self taught MUA and a visual artist and has worked on projects like corporate murals, luxury branding and packaging. Together they have worked on an award winning short film and independent music video as well as a few travelogues and a film for Kargil tourism. Their work has really been the highlight of our mornings today.

Shopcade HQ (S): What's the inspiration behind doing a video series for halloween
Satyarth (ST): So me being a film maker/visual artist and Namah also being a visual artist and a make-up enthusiast we really wanted to create some interesting content this Halloween. Around the same time homegrown contacted Namah and we decided to do twisty the clown and the Black dahlia as our looks. We wanted to keep the film also not very make up based but present it like a short story to instigate a thought or a feeling in the viewers mind. And that's exactly what happened.

S: 5 couple inspirations for halloween
ST: Undoubtedly the following:
- Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
- Frankenstein and bride of Frankenstein
- Red Riding Hood and the Wolf
- Vampire & its prey
- Mr White & Jesse Pinkman

S: if Namah was a witch, her heart would be ...
ST: ...in a perspicuous object like a crystal

S: Which is the horror movie/ character that still gives you the chills every time you watch it?
ST: Emily Rose from Exorcism of Emily Rose
Namah: Lady from the Mirror in "Mirrors"

S: DIY costume that satyarth can easily pull out out of his wardrobe.
Namah: Vampire; he wears a lot of black. Black pants with a black T-shirt and hoodie (from his closet) maybe some hair products, fangs and blood (from mine)

It's widely agreed that some styles look better on thin frames, while others look best on curvy gals. But what do you do when the season's silhouettes don't fit you quite right, but you still want to be on trend? Some of us have been blessed by the boobie gods with ample cleavage and some of us haven't. Small boobs are sometimes a massive perk, because 1) they're, er, perky and 2) cute bras. Enough said. However, sometimes us small chested gals want a lil fullness to make a plunging neckline pop.

If that top doesn't sit right, try these expert tips:

1. A push-up bra, AKA the oldest trick in the book. Need I say more?

2. Going bra-free. Nipples make a stellar fashion statement, maybe the extra pop you need!

3. Long necklaces draw attention to your bust, making it look bigger.

4. Contour. Yes really, use a sweep of bronzer down the Y shape of your breasts and add a highlighter along the upper half of your cleavage.

Whether we admit it or not, we all love that feeling of seeing loads of notifications after posting a photo on Instagram, right? It's only natural to feel happy seeing many people liking that photo you took.

But sometimes, even the pictures and posts we love don't get as much appreciation as we feel we deserve. Here are some tips to get more likes on your social media posts!

Make sure the photo is awesome
Don't post stuff just for the sake of posting—post a picture only if you truly think it's great! If content is good, it automatically attracts more likes.

Don't over-edit your photos
If a photo is already great, it won't require more than the slightest bit of editing. If the photo has a ton of filters and effects on it, it's not a good picture.

Collect some quality photo editing apps
For those small changes that can make a good picture a great picture that gets loads of likes, you need some awesome photo editing apps in your arsenal! We recommend VSCO, PicsArt, and Afterglow.

Post as often as you can
When you appear regularly on your followers' feeds, you tend to get more double-taps. It also helps your posts to show up on non-followers' Explore sections, which is a great way to gain more followers and therefore get more likes.

Use hashtags wisely
It's key to find a balance when using hashtags. Use enough relevant hashtags to make sure your picture gets noticed and rakes in the likes, but not so many that it looks messy and puts people off.

Keep your account public
If you post photographs that aren't personal and are looking to get more likes, keeping your account public will definitely help you gain more likes and followers than having a private account.

We hope these tips help you take your Instagram game to the next level!

We may not be little girls anymore, but that does not mean we have to rule out every style our parents imposed on us as kids!

Most hairstyles which were lost in our growing years, usually have a knack for coming back when we're adults; and that's exactly what's happened with our fave trend, Pigtails.

This hairdo is not only popular on the runway, but has also been spotted on the streets -- and we absolutely love it!

Moreover, fashion inspirations FKA Twigs, ALexa Chung, Janelle Monae, the Kardashian sisters, and many more have been seen rocking the hairdo, and we'd like to confirm that two tails are better than one!

Draw inspiration from pro-pigtail style influencer and beauty blogger Kayley Melissa, who shows us how braids can look sexy and chic at the same time.

Don't forget all the products you need to keep your hair silky and shiny in order to experiment with all our fave runway trends.

The Halloween countdown is officially ON here at ShopcadeHQ, so what better way to get in the fancy dress mood than with some good ol' make-up inspo!

Thanks to vlogger Chrisspy, we've gathered up all the bits you'll need to create this half-skull makeup look!

For a long lasting finish to keep you going all night, base your face with a classic primer, followed by a layer of foundation to even out your skin tone on the area's you WON'T be applying white face paint.

Once your base is set, you can begin applying your white makeup cream with a brush, blending in any larger areas with a clean sponge. Work your way around half the face and leave to set before starting the fun part; the black face paint!

Watch the video above for a detailed tutorial to finish your half-skull face and shop all you'll need in our edit below.
