Now that we're seeing the back of yet another season of London Fashion Week, let's take a moment to reflect on which shows over the years have captured the hearts and imaginations of everyone around the globe!

Scroll through our gallery above to see videos and imagery from shows of yesteryear.

From Alexander McQueen's Voss show in which Kate Moss and fellow models performed within a giant glass box (the finale is also quite spectacular!) to the time Prince performed on the catwalk at Matthew Williamson's SS08 show, take a peak at which designers did what to carve their mark on LFW...

Every season the runway throws up a mish-mash of prints teamed together that look part genius, part bag lady, but ultimately it helps to inspire us to try something a bit different.

Gucci is a master at it, Prada and Miu Miu have it down to a tee and Christopher Kane, Burberry and Henry Holland are seasoned pros.

2016 is the year of the clash, there's no doubt about it, only this season it's all about one print in particular- stripes. They are literally everywhere and as usual the celeb fashion pack have embraced it with gusto.

Alexa Chung is a massive fan of the breton top, but plays it safe on the bottom half, whereas the Queen of the cool clash, Olivia Palermo kills it each time with unusual print and texture combinations.

If that's a step too far for you, look to people like Sienna Miller and Jamie Chung who do it elegantly with two subtle stripe combinations. You can mix vertical and horizontal stripes, there are no rules to abide by.

The best thing about this trend is it can be dressed up or down as you please- why not mix it up for a wedding outfit, or lunch with the girls? Even a date with the boy can be a cause to try this look.

Go on, give it a go today with our edit of stylish stripe pieces below. Discover new brands from our marketplace and hot faves from Topshop, PLT, New Look and more!

Alexa Chung is the covergirl of Elle's December edition and in an honest interview, has revealed she's not looking to settle down soon: "I'm not thinking babies. I mean, they look great! I'm open to it and I would like a family one day, but I'm not desperate to get moving on that front."

She also states that she avoids tight clothing and anything bodycon, saying; "Anything sexy, i don't feel myself in...I don't know what the psychology behind that is. Maybe I'm constantly fighting for people to listen to what I have to say, so it seems undermining to look too girlie or frivolous."

Rumoured to have been dating Swedish actor Alexander Skarsgard since June this year, Alexa's still going full steam ahead with various fashion projects, the latest of which is the launch of her app, "Villoid."

Mad Monday kicks off today at London Fashion Week, but we think Sunday's showing seemed to be vying for this title this season with a packed schedule, celeb filled FROWs AND...a shoppable catwalk.

Burberry may well be ahead of the curve on most things, but Henry Holland secured a triumph last night with a gimmick that allowed you to buy the collections being showed there and then.

VIPs Alexa Chung and Daisy Lowe were invited onto the catwalk during the finale to purchase a piece using a specially customised Apple Pay HOH ring. They simply had to tap the items they wanted and boom, instant gratification.

As LFW becomes more and more commercial and less about exclusivity (this season in particular has proved that) customers buying the collections from the catwalk in real time makes complete sense.

With Henry leading the way, Matthew Williamson actually missing this season so he can focus on selling SS16 when it actually is Spring and Versus Versace's collection already available on Selfridges, we can't wait for next season!

Gathering his celebrity pals for yet another star studded LC:M event, designer Henry Holland debuted the House of Holland SS16 menswear collection at Selfridges yesterday afternoon.

With Daisy Lowe, Alexa Chung, Pixie Geldof, Oliver Cheshire, Nick Grimshaw and Nicola Roberts but a few of the big names in attendance, it doesn't seem like Henry's lost his foothold in the fashion party circuit just yet!

With his new menswear collection packing a colourful punch, the SS16 pieces on show hints for an eccentric spring/summer next year indeed...
