You have probably been hearing about the benefits of turmeric for a while now and you might have been intrigued to try a cup of turmeric latte, the bonified staple drink of the health conscious. Its recipe is quite simple, actually. Take a batch of cold-pressed turmeric juice and mix it with almond, cashew or coconut milk. Before you switch your morning tea or coffee brew to the golden milk (as it's also referred) we take a look at the benefits of turmeric.

Youthful Clear Skin

Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties that fight the skin's tendencies for redness and irritation while its anti-bacterial qualities make it perfect for protecting against acne and blemishes.

Brain Power

Turmeric produces curcumin which has a number of medicinal properties. It's known to protect against Alzheimer's disease by increasing memory function is also promotes the repair of brain cells.

Muscle pain

Curcumin also protect against muscle pain including joint pain and arthritis. So it's perfect for gym newbies.

Anti-Infection

Its anti-inflammatory properties make turmeric one of the perfect hot drinks when fighting a cold. Also due to its anti-parasitic qualities it can help prevent stomach ulcers and reduce infection in the gut.

Fights Depression

According to researchers, curcumin can aid in managing depression, without the possible side effects of  anti-depressive medicine.

Reduces Cholesterol

Turmeric has been found to reduce the levels of 'bad' cholesterol in the body, while increasing the levels of 'good' cholesterol. So maybe it's worth while switching to that gold milk for a while? What do you think? Send your comments below!

As we age the skin loses natural collagen and elastin leaving it less supple and more prone to wrinkles, marks and well... gravity. Leading a healthy lifestyle with plenty of water (not only to hydrate but also to flush out toxins), no smoking, reduced alcohol consumption, and a diet filled with vegetables, antioxidants, and healthy fats like salmon, avocado, and nuts, can truly work wonders on the skin.

Still, if we want to reverse ageing, we really can't rely on a healthy diet and water alone. We also need a comprehensive beauty routine with top quality products. Meaning a no BS skincare brand that delivers on its promise. And we found it! Omorovicza Cosmetics, and specifically its Hungarian Moor Mud range, is our absolute fave for glorious skincare. Hungarian Moor Mud has unique health properties that have been lauded for centuries. And Omorovicza’s five-piece collection employs the mineral-rich mud in the best way. The people behind the brand worked with a Hungarian Nobel prize-winning laboratory and patented the Healing ConcentrateTM. And we can confirm with absolute certainty that it’s a miracle-worker!

This type of mud was extracted from the largest thermal lake in Europe, Lake Heviz, and its content has been prized by European communities for its fantastic propensity to regenerate skin impaired by free radicals and environmental stress. The combination of calcium and magnesium in Moor Mud enables wounds to heal faster, while the humic and fulvid acid detoxify and purify the complexion.

This ingredient will transform your skin in the most amazing ways. It balances sebum production, reducing and preventing future breakouts. It provides a deep cleanse to make even the most stubborn impurities disappear. Uneven skin tone? This product is for you, as it has the capability to heal micro-damaged skin. It nourishes even the most sensitive complexions for stronger skin, and it can tackle early signs of ageing for a more youthful and radiant complexion.

Are you ready for clear, youthful glowing skin? We certainly are! So we're giving away a little treat. Use the code SHOPCADE and receive 20% off your order! You'll get a complimentary Moor Cream Cleanser when you spend £100 or more.

Just ask Alicia Silverstone to Olivia Wilde, Ellen DeGeneres, and Lea Michelle about why they turned vegan. The health benefits are enormous and those are only a few of the celebrities who swear by veganism. Some started for health issues, for example, Wilde discovered she was lactose intolerant, others to gain glowing skin, whilst others did it for simply loving animals. But how easy is it to go vegan and where do you start?

Transitioning to a vegan diet can be challenging so one of the best ways is to start slow and decide on a method that works best for you. We've rounded up the best tips to go vegan today.

1. Research as Much as You Can!

Learn as much as you can about how you can nourish your body based on a plant-based diet and start familiarising with reading ingredient lists on the back of products. Start paying attention to new and potentially yummy vegan products at your local grocery store and keep informed about health benefits that might motivate you to stay vegan.

2. Add Products to your Diet

Instead of fearing the items that you will have to subtract from your diet such as meat and dairy products focus on adding all of the items you'll have more of such as: #010101">Whole grain, beans, legumes, nuts, seeds, and tofu into your diet. Start collecting and experimenting with vegan recipes that appeal to you. #010101">Find a non-dairy alternative such as almond or soy. Experiment to discover which option you like best.

#010101">3. Stay Motivated!
#010101">
#010101">It's will get increasingly harder when you get a burger craving, for example, keep your goal and motivation clear in your mind so you can ride through any craving ride.

#010101">4. Plan your vegan transition. Going vegan can be daunting so why not try veganism first? Get used to subtracting meat, fish, and poultry from your diet without replacing them with eggs and milk for protein consumption. Instead, amp up your veggie protein intake.

During the cold chilly months of Winter it can be hard to find the motivation to go for a jog or make a trip to the gym. But think how easy it could be to do a simple workout at home! It saves a trip in the freezing outdoors and you can keep warm in the comfort of your own space. Start by creating that extra bit of space within your home where you can do your workout. I tend to think the living room or your bedroom is the best place, given that you have enough room to move around. Next, you want to create a schedule whereby you set aside a bit of time during the day to complete your workout. This could be anything from ten minutes, half hour or even an hour. It all depends on how much extra time you have and how much time you want to spend exercising. Additionally, you can do a longer workout on one day of the week and a shorter workout on a day that you are much busier on. The type of workout you want to complete it totally up to you. Personally, I stick to some simple stretches, lunges and squats. However, you can do a more energetic workout or even a peaceful yoga session if that is more your style. Now here are a motivation tips to get you going! 1. Get a workout buddy! The best way to complete a workout is to have someone else doing it with you. This means that instead of giving up or not bothering you will be encouraging each other. 2. Buy some new exercise kit If you buy some new fitness essentials you are more likely to want to try them out and do a bit of exercise. So treat yourself to some snazzy gym gear and get into that workout mood! 3. Listen to when your body needs a workout Undoubtedly, doing a bit of exercise every day does wonders for out bodies and our health, so it is best to try and work out when your body needs that extra boost. Often we will tell ourselves that we are too tired or we will put it off until another day, but if we realise when our bodies need some exercise we are more likely to get into a steady routine. To sum up, don't worry about the shorter days and the darker evenings, it's all about maintaining the same motivation about exercise as we would in the Summer!

We don't know what's going on with the insta fashion pack lately but there's seems to be an affinity towards complex carbohydrates. First it was delicious, colourful plates of pizza employed as props of various insta imagery. Then Youtube followed with an array of digital productions on the pizza diet, eating pizza for every meal, or the pizza challenge. But let's face it. Pizzas as props are quite big, they take up most of the image space while a fork full of pasta is probably more convenient. Enter the Pasta craze!

Is our health food, detox smoothie craze has reached an all time 'we can't handle it anymore' status? So we turn to the diets worst original enemy, carbs? We can't be sure. All we know is that Pizza's Italian, carb-friendly buddy is having a serious moment on our Insta feeds. Pasta on location, full plate of delicious pasta, pasta close to mouth with fork held by hand with sparkly jewellery, pasta art is also big! Expect to see Chiara Ferragni, Tina Leung, Patricia Manfield and Mirta Michelle enjoying a mouthful of yummy pasta on holidays!

Ready for your pasta close up? Then head to our gallery for more tips on how to curate your online pasta eating presence! Not into posing next to pasta but love the imagery? Time to indulge in a few food inspired merch! Shop all the looks from our exclusive edit below!

The French fashion industry just implemented some strict new regulations regarding model sizes and advertisements to protect the health of models and prevent anorexia.

The first new law obliges models to have a medical certificate establishing their physical well-being and proving that they are not excessively underweight. If this isn’t respected, the model's employer will be subject to a fine of €75,000 as well as six months in jail.

The second new regulation concerns ad campaigns. It ensures that all commercials that edit models' bodily appearances must contain the label “photographie retouchée” (i.e. retouched photograph), otherwise risking a 37,500 fine.

Many similar steps have been taken to make the fashion industry more diverse, but none of them have truly worked so we hope that the implementation of fines will make a difference. And, seeing that France is generally considered the home of fashion, we hope that many others will follow in its footsteps.
