xoxo

Happy birthday to the goddess who some how got placed on earth, Blake Lively. Possibly the most beautiful pregnant woman there has ever been, a brilliantly funny woman, a self-confessed foodie, one half of the best celeb couple and Gossip Girl star. Basically we have a big girl crush on her, and don't need a reason to celebrate her amazingness, but it doesn't hurt...

We look back on her best on and off screen moments! From Sisterhood of The Travelling Pants, to Gossip Girl, to her Vogue interview where she revealed "my mum brought home a child from a yard sale once, true story".

After the recent release of Ab Fab which featured fashion cameos, from the likes of Kate Moss, it got us thinking about our favourite on screen fashion appearances of all time. So here is the definitive list...

1. Andre Leon Talley in 'Sex and the City, the movie'. The former editor-at-large for American Vogue made an iconic cameo in SATC, where he played himself styling Carrie's wedding photoshoot. Amazing.

2. Elle Macpherson in 'Friends'. Elle played Joey's roommate-turned-girlfriend in season 6. She didn't play the most likeable character, but did featured in a number of episodes and certainly made an impact. While looking smokin', of course.

3. Victoria Beckham in 'Ugly Betty'. VB was Wilhelmina Slater's maid of honour. Bet you forgot about that one, didn't ya? She looked every inch early-2000 Posh with her blonde bob, over-sized sunglasses and tan. Wilhelmina tried to dress her in something that resembled a potato sack, and VB customised it to make sure she stole the show. Epic.

4. Rachel Zoe in 'Gossip Girl'. Gossip Girl had a number of fashionista cameos, like Tory Burch, but Rachel Zoe was the most memorable. She starred in an episode where Blair had thrown a party, and Rachel Zoe ended up covered in chocolate sauce. Her response was "I die".

5. Gisele Bündchen in 'The Devil Wears Prada'. Maybe the best fashion film ever, so it was only fitting that the world's highest paid model featured. She played Emily's (Emily Blunt) friend. Remember the moment when Serena (Gisele) compliments Andy on her transformation? Emily was not impressed.

Let us know which fashionista cameos are your fave! Scroll the gallery above to watch these epic on screen moments...

Blake Lively may have just been having some fun when sharing a picture of her bootylicious backside on Instagram captioned "An LA face with an Oakland Booty" but there are those in the socialsphere who haven't taken too kindly to her post.

Scroll right to see the image she shared of her in the gold Versace Atelier dress on the red carpet for the Cafe Society premiere.

Taken from Sir Mix-a-lot's hit song "Baby Got Back", Blake currently faces both support and disdain from opposing factions. Comedian Ian Karmel tweeted: "With how gentrified Oakland has become, Blake Lively kind of does have an LA face with an Oakland booty."

For every golden tanned goddess this summer, there is a pale princess in the corner being compared, rather hilariously we might add, to Jenny Humphrey. Sorry Taylor, that really is bad luck!

The Met Ball this year was full of ALT beauty looks, which given the theme made perfect sense, but we think this trend is likely to carry on into the summer as well. A we all love a summer goth.

Here's the top trends to watch out for....

1. Dark Lips: Katy Perry & Taylor Swift ironically both championed the gothic look at the Met Ball shooting berry and black shades right to the top of the style charts for summer.

2. Go For Gold: Festival season is almost upon us, so mass amounts of glitter is expected. However, gold eyebrows, eyelashes, and lips- this is very new and we like, a lot.

3. Wet Look Hair: Throwback to the 80s right here! Alexa Chung looked fab with messy, slicked back hair at the Met Ball. The epitome of not giving a f**k and consequently being so damn cool.

4. Pale Brows: Lady Gaga has been rocking this look for a while now, but other celebs are getting in on the look. Slightly terrifying if you are dark haired, we like anything a little bit odd and this is definitely a love or loathe sort of look.

5. Heavy Metallics: First seen on the runway and now on Kristen Stewart, metallics are often kept for the festive season, however hot metal shades are on fire right now. We approve.

Ahh the 90s. Just thinking about it gives me waves of nostalgic joy. The Spice Girls, customised denim, hair mascara, The Spice Girls, body glitter, butterfly hair clips, The Spice Girls... you get the picture.

The 90s for me also conjure up memories of THE best teen films to grace our screens. Forget this weepy, romantic sh*t we're drip fed now, back in the day we made cult classics. Hell, I'll even extend that to the 80s- Teen Witch is effing incredible. The fashion, the properly hot hunk- oh yes!

So, it was with some trepidation that I learned my beloved Cruel Intentions is to have a sequel TV series focusing on Sebastian and Anette's offspring (one time was all it took, huh guys?) and something about Kathryn fighting for control of an empire.

Sounds pretty snoozy to me, but with Sarah Michelle Gellar signed up to reprise her role, it could be worth a punt. For me it's a classic of its time, so if you haven't watched it yet (where have you been, on Mars?) here's 5 reasons why Cruel Intentions was the best teen flick of the decade...

1. It. Was. Hot. AF. Ryan Phillippe (every girl's wet dream in the late 90s) full on naked, one of the hottest sex scenes this side of R-rated, soft core incest and the lesbian spit-filled kiss. What do we get today? Fifty Shades of soft. Pass.

2. It was basically a prequel to Gossip Girl. Chuck Bass is Sebastian; all bad boy done good because of a girl, even if Blair is downright more bitchy than Annette, the parallels are obvious.

3. Sarah Michelle Gellar was just on the right side of bunny boiler and I absolutely loved her. She's the reason I bought a cross chain (sans coke, obvs) and thought corsets as outerwear were a good idea.

4. The ending was so smug and just epic. My favourite song to this day- Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve was the perfect accompaniment to *spoiler alert* Kathryn's ruin at the hands of Cecile and Annette.

5. We've already established my love for The Verve, but seriously the soundtrack to this film was so on point. Blur, Fatboy Slim, Placebo and Counting Crows (Colourblind- you know the song I mean. Wink wink, nudge nudge).

Magnifique !
