Yes statement socks are now a thing. Ever since Vetements, fetishised athletic tube socks giving them a higher price tag, socks have become not just a practicality but an item that you actually want to show off.

The fashion pack took notice and contributed in absentia in the creation of multiple variations. Statement socks can be athletic think Vetements, Fila, Nike, they can look eye-poppingly patterned like Marni or Prada. They can be absolutely plain like the ones Rei Kawakubo employs against intricate designs for Comme des Garcons. Ricaardo Tisci goes for knee legth black or white socks for Givenchy. The street style stars have took this statement sock trend to heart - though for years it was considered a major faux pas.

The stylistic options are truly endless: Combine them with a classic white trainer, or a bright red sandal hel, try a very trendy boot with built-in sock (the sock boot). Try a sheer mesh ankle sock and pair it with stileto heels or mules like blogger Leandra Medine, or go for the full fishnet sock look and leave them peaking from a pair of ankle boots.

With yet another fashion month behind us we bracefully look into the future and the next season trends. With minimalistic in New York, Milan went bold, while London and Paris kept a balance between glitter mania and minimal fresh makeup. More specifically we've seen everything from simplistic to shimmering, and rhinestone studded makeup.

GLITTER, GLITTER

The most predominant beauty trend that emerged from Fashion month was glitter. Make up artists truly found innovative ways to add a little sparkle to the models skin. Apart from shiny lip balm, glitter eyelids at Stella Jean and Topshop we were mesmerised by the stick-on stones at Givenchy, Jeremy Scott and Dries Van Noten. One thing is for sure: In SS18 we're going to shine!

GLOWING SKIN

As we all know the foundations of a great make up routine is the base, the treatments to offer a youthful clear glowing complexion. And no we're not talking about age here. At Vercace the original supermodels Naomi, Cindy and Claudia showed us how it's done. While Isabel Marant and Bottega Venetta focused on clear skin and Issey Miyake revealed the ultimate youth trick: pinkish primer around cheekbones and the eyes.

LIPS THAT POP

Cherry blossom is the perfect example for the tonal colour on our lips for SS18. Bright and beautiful that was the choice of hue at Max Mara Chanel and Dolce & Gabbana.

BRIGHT EYES

Electro-pop eyes were all the rage at Missoni in orange, pink and aquamarine while at Marni the tendency was absolutely aquatic: blues, greens and deep turquoises. Think Kylie Minogue circa 2001.

CROPED BOB & FRINGES

The cropped bob is here to stay apparently and the accompanying fringes are also trending but not in the severe Anna Wintour fashion but mostly sweeping like Tom Ford. Fendi took it one step further by adding bright hairflips in blue, green and petrol.

Ready to rock the hair and beauty trends of the new season? Then snatch all the beauty essentials from our edit below!

Natacha Ramsay- Levi made her much anticipated Chloe debut bringing a fresh and edgy to the Parisian fashion House. She is the first French woman to navigate the brand. Karl Lagerfeld and a few British designers for example Stella McCartney and Clare Waight - Keller, now at Givenchy, helmed the carefree brand. It's been associated with a fun loving pretty girl who loves fashion and being comfortable at the same time.

Chloe's founder Gaby Aghion, ensured to infuse these values since the inception of Chloe back in 1952. With that ethos as a starting poing 37-year-old Natacha Ramsay- Levi created a collection that explored the past and heritage and found innovative ways with which she could leave her permanent statement to the brand - and ultimately making it relevant for 2017.

For example she took the quintessentially bohemian brand and embellished it with a few rock and edgy details inspired by her mentor Nicholas Ghesquiere. She also transformed the sequin extravaganza that defined this fashion week by recreating a modern Joan d'Arc. Delicate chiffon dresses, scattered ruffles while Victorian blouses were given a much needed fierceness paired with studded mini skirts, leather, lace, and experimentations with tailoring.
