The famous British Actress Helen Mirren admitted that she has been struggling with her confidence for a lifetime. It is quite shocking how a successful actress like Mirren could have doubt of herself! But Mirren showed us that she is just like us! The actress told that microblading changed her self esteemed in a recent interview. After seeing her friend try this beauty treatment, the actress thought, “at least when I wake up I will have my eyebrows done.” Small things can cause huge impacts and this is yet another proof. #microblading #helenmirren #beauty #treatment #celebrity #advice

You may be stumped on a way to update your look this Spring and a piece of jewellery is always a safe bet. There's a certain personal element when buying a piece of jewellery. A well-thought jewel choice says a lot about your individual style. Go to your closet and examine it carefully to determine whether you're after a modern or a more classic approach. For a classic look go for minimal stacked gold enamel or raw earthy touches. For modern try maximalist colour, chunky silhouettes, layering and funky design.

STATEMENT EARRINGS

When it comes to earrings opt for tassel, chandelier or statement architectural earrings to be completely on trend for this season. The earrings are meant to be the main focal point so keep the rest of the outfit muted for immense effect. For a classic look go for drop earrings or a pair of pearl earrings and wear them with an evening look or a smart casual outfit.

LAYER HOOPS RINGS PENDANTS

Get a bunch of pendants to layer, including gold hoops in different sizes or statement rings that say something about you. The layering and the choice of an accessory here will communicate your individuality.

MATCH THEM

For a black-tie event go for a matching necklace or choose a necklace with multiple layers for a nonchalant effect that is oh-so-chic.

ARM PARTY

Opt for an array of bold and colourful bracelets for your maximalist friend otherwise known as "arm party". The effect is a joyful blend of materials and colours that can easily act as one comprehensive accessory. Avoid adding any other piece of jewellery such as drop earrings or necklaces and keep the attention on your bracelets.

It's always a good time to start taking care of our skin. A comprehensive beauty routine can allow us to retain a youthful glowing skin for much longer. So what does that routine comprise of, you ask? Don't worry we have you covered! Read on for all the essentials you'll need.

Minimise those Pores

The older we get the more expanded our pores likely to stay. Try a cleanser with salicylic acid that breaks down the oil in the pores.

Try the Strip

In order to deflate and clean pores, you'll need some strips

SPF

Ageing skin's best friend is a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least an SPF 30. Slather a great portion of SPF on your face and body.

Beauty Sleep

According to research if you sleep at least 15 minutes earlier you're bound to shed a few lines off your eyes. The dark circles will diminish significantly if you add a few more minutes to your sleep. Extra tip: log off and avoid exercise before going to bed.

Slather on the Antioxidants

Try products containing caffeine, green tea, pomegranate, or Coenzyme Q10 for the best results!

Retinol Wonder

Retinol really does wonders for the fine lines but don't overdo it as it can increase sun sensitivity making you itch possibly. Instead, dab small portions or dilute them with plain moisturiser.

Whether for business or pleasure, we're flying more than ever and our questions for the women who board and disembark each flight looking nothing less than exceptional only keep growing.

There are models, editors and industry mavens who are more than happy to share their in-flight beauty tricks but to keep things simple, we've summed up some of the most efficient:

Cleanse your skin before starting any beauty routine.
To avoid dehydration, sensitivity and tired skin, don't forget to cleanse. Your skin will thank you at the end of the trip.

Don't load up on make-up to wear throughout the entirety of your flight
Once cleansed, moisturise to stay fresh-faced with supple, hydrated skin. Treat your lips to some first-class service Moisturise often your dried-out air-con lips with a rich lip balm.

Save bag space for things that'll stave off boredom
If you're on a long haul flight, choose what you pack with care (we recommend iPad, headphones, books etc), avoid bringing your entire make-up collection to touch up with before reaching your destination. Load up retractable brushes with bronzer and brush prior to leaving home!

Give your hair the care it deserves
Compact Tangle Teezers and dry shampoo are your new best friend! Get some help for a stress-free flight Essential oils can help you restore your energy and sleep better, for a natural glow at disembarking.

And last, but not least... Drink all the water you can!
Aim for at least 1/2 liter per hour on board.

With all products available in 100ml or less, shop below for everything from cleansing wipes to heavy duty moisturisers and dry shampoo to quick-fix make-up items!

As soon as any new season begins, we start to eye another selection of products that will accompany us throughout the next few months. However, it will be difficult to store all of those new frilly Spring dresses, sandals, hats and handbags in a closet full of oversized sweaters and warm coats. That means it's time for a thorough closet-refresh to make some space for your brand new Spring stock!

This inevitable task of creating more room in an already bursting closet can be a daunting task, so a good tip is to start early. That way, you'll allow yourself time to assess the pieces that you need to replace or invest in for the season ahead. But, before you get started it's useful to devise a plan before you become overwhelmed by a big mass of clothing.

Start by taking all of the contents of your closet and placing them on a clean surface such as your bed or a sofa. Once you have it all in front of you, begin by sorting items into three piles: keep, stash and donate. Create some boundaries that will inform snappy yet thoughtful decisions.

Go for Marie Kondo's approach, the famous Japanese organising consultant and best selling author, and keep only the items that still bring you joy. Conversely, go the more traditional route: If you haven't worn a piece of clothing in a year, chances are you won't be wearing it now. Have you kept a dress still with the tag on after 6 months? Well, maybe it's time to let it go. If you're still struggling it would be useful to ask help from a friend or family member to advise you whether you need that belly-bearing crop top from ten years ago.

Now that you've made room in your closet it's time for the fun part: re-stocking. Take stock of what's missing and put it on your wishlist.

Happy Jewel Day! March 13th of each year marks the day that celebrates jewellery and the jewel creators. If you're planning to buy a piece of sparkly jewellery for yourself, a friend or a loved one maybe it's time to have a look at the modern pearls, swinging pendants and punk precious jewels that will take centre-stage in 2018.

SHOULDER LENGTH EARRINGS

This length is very flattering and elongates the neck. The dramatic drop earrings are a direct influence from Chanel, David Morris and Diane Kordas. Wear them with a cocktail dress or add them to elevate any daytime smart casual look.

GOING GREEN

Green is having a moment, "avocado green", to be exact, while electric lime shades populate the spring collections. It's the perfect colour to infuse some colour to your basic silver jewellery.

PUNK ATTITUDE

Sometimes a bit of punky edge is required to create an elegant juxtaposition. Nothing exudes elegance like the contrast between contemporary and classic aesthetic. Take a pair of restyles safety pins for example employed as earrings and biker chains in glittering diamonds and 18-karat gold.

PICK n MIX

The trend of combining different characterful designs started last year. This offbeat trend is not necessarily new but now there are more designers specialising in mismatched earrings. A popular mix is a cuff with studs or gold hoops, that can give depth to any look.

MODERN PEARLS

Forget those classic twin pearl sets and button earrings, although the oldest type of jewellery is still on trend it's undergoing a major transformation. This season calls for sophisticated cool pearl creations blended with gold details that result in beautiful pearl drop earrings, bracelets and chokers finished with a chic silk ribbon tie.

Another make up look that I have touched upon before is the blocked colour eyeshadow trend. This was recently spotted at the likes of Marni and Prada shows. Dior even matched their red, yellow and pink sunglasses to their eyeliner of choice. I love eyeshadows and my Morphe palette has been my best make up friend for months now. I am always experimenting with colours so it's great to see this manifest on the catwalk. Even better it's been kept really simple. All you need to do is swatch a colour across your lid et voila. An easy make up look that's also really fun. Image: Indigital

Picking up where the Golden Globes left off with another black dress Time’s Up protest on the red carpet, actresses attending last night’s BAFTAs turned to statement jewellery to really set their looks off. More specifically earrings that glinted and sparkled under the glare of camera flashes and the eyes of the world. Diamonds were understandably popular- they are a girl’s best friend after all and if you can’t wear them on the red carpet, where else can you show them off with security nearby just in case? Angelina Jolie’s chandelier earrings were a departure from her usual understated style but they pushed her dress and classic make-up into dazzling territory.

A pop of green via gorgeous emerald stone settings were an unexpected alternative. Lead by the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge who wore a matching earrings and necklace set, Saoirse Ronan, Gemma Arterton and more put green jewellery back in the spotlight, a move Jennifer Lawerence cemented when she presented the first award of the night ‘Outstanding British Film’. We also saw great examples of chain link and dramatic black tassel earrings we’re itching to try out too.

To really hammer home their message of action and solidarity with women facing injustice and sexual harassment, actresses like Jolie and Naomie Harris brought female activists along as their dates. And Best Actress winner Frances McDormand utterly stole the show (no mean fest with Joanna Lumley as host) dead-panning her witty acceptance speech; and she pledged her support for her 'sisters in black', despite not completely complying with the dress code.

Shop the key earrings styles we saw in our edits below for your next formal event.

The incredible costumes in 'Black Panther' exceeded our wildest expectations, and so has Lupita Nyong’o 's style in her most recent appearances. Yet again. Because the Kenyan-Mexican actress, who plays Nakia in the groundbreaking movie, first marked herself out as a red carpet fashion superstar on her way to winning her Best Supporting Actress Oscar for ’12 Years A Slave.’ And to promote her most high profile film since, she’s wowed at every turn. There was the floaty purple gown anchored with a jewelled harness she twirled in at the New York premiere; the low cut, high slitted black gown dusted in silver that she wore for the London one; and our favourite look of the lot? The brown Dolce & Gabbana dress she wore at a New York screening of the film earlier this week. This was Nyong’o’s take on nude and she looked like a dream- with the corset bodice and all-over ruching defining her curves. Shimmering metallic earrings, heels and a clutch were the finishing touches. The actress has been flexing her sartorial muscles off the red carpet as well by rocking a on-point blue pencil skirt look at the AW18 Calvin Klein show; and also made the case for double patent by wearing a shiny black trench and matching trousers together on the street. Massive props to her stylist Micaela Erlanger as well.

We don’t think we’re exaggerating to say that Nyong’o’s gorgeous make-up and head-turning hairstyles take her already stunning outfits to another level. Seemingly picking up where the film’s hair department head Camilla Friend left off, the actress has teased her natural hair into a towering twisted top knot, a fluffy high ponytail, sculptural puffs and more in recent works. What wonderful expressions of black beauty! We can't wait to see what she wears next.

Check out Nyong'o's amazing recent looks in the gallery above and then shop our expert fashion and beauty edits below.

New York Fashion Week runs from today until next Wednesday, February 14th following the Men's collections February 5th- 8th. However, this New York Fashion Week is different than the rest. It's following on a wave of changes that was initiated last season when Rodarte, Proenza Schouler, Altuzarra and Thom Browne moved their presentations to Paris. Tome's Ramon Martin and Ryan Lobo also joined the pack of designers leaving New York for Paris. While the controversial collaboration of Rihanna's Fenty x Puma received many accolades and the quintessential American spirit brand of Ralph Lauren hosted his show in his Bedford garage. This season more designers are striking on their own accord while two are coming out of town.

THE OUT-OF-TOWNERS

Tomas Maier is celebrating the opening of his Madison Avenue store and is visiting his Bottega Venetta show from Milan to New York for one season. Maier's move makes sense since the fresh air being infused into the collection abides by the New York edgy and youthful sensibility. Esteban Cortazar - the boy wonder from Paris, formerly creative director of Emanuel Ungaro, is moving his show from Paris to New York.

THE DEPARTURES

Ever since Alexander Wang announced that he's moving #WangFest to a June/December schedule there are more designers evading the conventional Fashion Calendar. Wand staged several street parties in September and will present his final show on the official schedule this Saturday before moving with his plans. Marchesa's Georgina Chapman after filing for divorce from Harvey Weinstein and Keren Craig cancelled their runway show in favour of a more low-key event. Delpozo and Victoria Beckham are switching New York for London, Tome traded New York for Paris while there will be no Fenty x Puma show. Many others Public School and Baja East switched to straight-to-consumer, Burberry and Mansur Gavriel wanted to a see-now-buy-now model while Rebecca Minkoff and Lela Rose opted for Instagram shows instead of IRL ones.

FASHION WEEK STAPLES

But still, it's New York fashion week Marc Jacobs whose latest collection was featured on the cover of American Vogue is closing the show. While Raf Simons is presenting both his third collection for Calvin Kein and also showcasing his own menswear brand. Tom Ford is showing two separate collections Women's and Men's. We're anticipating Coach, Michael Kors, Oscar de la Renta and of course Jeremy Scott! We're also expecting a breath of fresh air from newcomers (to the NYFW runway at least) Eckhaus Latta, the powerful subversive duo, and the American - Australian Matthew Adams Dolan, a denim aficionado and Rihanna favourite.

THE FROW

As with designers, there has been a thinning of big celebrity sightings too. This time last year Katie Holmes, Jennifer Hudson and Lucy Liu sat at Zac Posen alone, for example, and by September, the significant celeb snaps were confined to those of a pregnant Jessica Alba and Jessica Seinfeld. And all for a good reason. According to The New York Times, in the practice of pay-per-pose, an A-lister like Angelina Jolie could command close to $1 million per show. As expected Tom Ford kicked off NYFW AW18 with a guest list that included Ciara and husband Russell Wilson, Pusha T and Halsey. Jessica Alba is a Tory Burch veteran so she’ll probably be there, ditto for Zoe Kravitz at close friend Alexander Wang’s show. Rashida Jones is a fan of  Rachel Comey, actress Chloe Grace Moretz has been a COACH regular in the past and may even show up to the Victoria Beckham show (she’s currently dating Brooklyn Beckham). Olivia Culpo and her New England Patriots player boyfriend Danny Amendola are scheduled to make an appearance, according to E! Online. And from the music scene: Solange Knowles Tinashe and Teyana Taylor may all show up. As far as street style trendsetters are concerned: Yasmin Sewell, (heavily pregnant) Leandra Medine, Lisa Aiken and Linda Tol are all safe bet sightings and women to follow on Instagram if you’re not already.

New York Fashion Week starts today and will run until next Wednesday 14th February (aka Valentine’s Day) following the Men's collections held between the 5th and 8th of February. FASHION WEEK MAINSTAYS

But one of NYFW’s biggest names Marc Jacobs, whose latest collection was featured on the cover of American Vogue, is closing the week as usual. Raf Simons is presenting both his third collection for Calvin Klein and his own menswear brand; while Tom Ford is eschewing co-ed shows by showing his new menswear and womenswear separately a few days apart. We're looking forward to seeing what Coach, Michael Kors, Oscar de la Renta and of course Jeremy Scott have come up with! And keeping a close eye on Monse, newcomers (to the NYFW runway at least) Eckhaus Latta, the powerful subversive duo, and Rihanna’s favourite denim aficionado Matthew Adams Dolan.
