I hope your sneaker game is ready for summer! Warm months mean it's time to ditch the boots and slip into something more comfortable. Whether you're more into high-tops or low-tops, trendy platform soles or spotless basketball shoes, everybody needs a good pair of everyday sneaks.

My personal faves for this season are dainty floral print tennis shoes and embellished black hi-tops, but what I'm really lusting after are plain white sneaks to wear with white socks and 90's babydoll dresses.

If you’ve started picturing yourself lugging a suitcase full of stuff to LFW this year, it’s time to take a step back and think about what you really need to take!

Once you’ve found the perfect bag to put everything in (we recommend a fairly large one with space for freebies), you’ll only need to pop in these LFW essentials:

- Your ID, Oyster, business cards, hotel card and your passes and invitations to the events.

- A notebook and pen for easy note taking and sketching designs, and a diary or organiser to keep track of where you need to go, and to add new events and contacts along the way.

- Subtle perfume to top up during the day, dry shampoo to give lift to your hair if it needs it and concealer and mascara to top up your make-up throughout the day.

- Bold lipstick, along with lip gloss to make your lips shine, tinted lip balm to combat dryness and hand cream to keep your hands soft as you meet-and-greet.

- Smartphone with a case to show off your style, and a power bank, particularly if you’ll be using your phone for pictures and note taking.

- Sunglasses just in case London’s actually sunny in February, a pretty watch in case your phone dies and statement accessories that you can add to your outfit to switch from day to night.

- Flat shoes for when you’re running between shows, or a pair of statement heels to slip in and out of depending on the event.

You’ll also need a small but high-quality camera to get the best pictures, along with snacks such as cereal bars, dried fruit, chocolate and water to keep you going.

As spring draws closer and the weather gets warmer, it’s time to make the transition in your wardrobe from winter to spring.

With your chunky knits, faux fur stoles and warm woollen coats put in storage, you turn to your wardrobe and realise it’s half empty! "Where are all my spring clothes?", you ask.

If you’ve found yourself with nothing to wear for the new season, why not take advantage of all the sales and deals currently offered by retailers?

We’ve compiled a list of ten essential things you need to help take your wardrobe from icy winter to cool spring.

So, without further ado (because the sooner you can start shopping, the better!), below are our top ten things to buy in the sales:

1. Poncho/Cape/Blanket Wrap
A poncho, cape or blanket wrap is perfect for layering in the spring without feeling too warm - plus it gives you a chance to show off a glimpse of your outfit! This Cream Faux Fur Trim Poncho by Quiz is a softer alternative to black or khaki shades, and works well paired with dark skinny jeans.

2. Winter Boots
Whether you’re a fan of ankle-length booties or thigh-high boots, now’s the time to buy that gorgeous pair of high-end winter boots you’ve had your eye on all December! Think of winter boots as an investment, and don’t be afraid to spend a little more than usual. We love this Guess Edler Boot for their matte finish and high-heeled style.

3. Scarf
Keep that winter snuggle feeling going by purchasing a lightweight scarf perfect for the spring. We love this Winter Lily Floral Scarf by Coast with its feminine floral print that works well with an all-black outfit or with block colours. Its larger size is perfect for wrapping up as the night gets colder.

4. Activewear
Get your New Years fitness resolution off to a stylish start with activewear that makes you look good as you work to feel good! Take full advantage of the sales to find everything you need to hit the gym looking fabulous. We love the Lorna Jane Cecilia Core Long Tight sold by House of Fraser, suitable for all types of workouts and easily matched with your other gym clothes.

5. Flat Shoes
Give your heels a break by investing in some versatile flat shoes that you can take from day to night. Opt for clean lines, simple embellishments and neutral colours to get the most out of your shoes. We love this Michael Kors Nancy Flat Slip-On Shoes that would look just as great at the office as it would on a dinner date.

6. Sweater
Keep warm in those cold spring mornings with a fine-knit sweater that’s a little thinner than ones you might wear during the winter. Whether you layer over a crisp white shirt or add a longline tank top with dipped hem, a lightweight sweater is the perfect transition piece to take you from winter to spring. We think this Textured-Knit Sweater sold by The Outnet would look great with leather-look leggings and a khaki bag.

7. Sunglasses
The sun is out, and it’s actually warm! Make sure you’re prepared with a pair (or two) of sunglasses that perfectly frame your face. Go for a tinted style and thick frames to make your sunglasses the focal point of your outfit, or try thin-framed aviators for a classic look. Why not try these Linda Sunglasses by Tom Ford?

8. Trench Coat
A waterproof trench coat is perfect for keeping dry during spring rain showers. Opt for a neutral shade such as beige or cream to ensure it goes with as many outfits as possible. If you’re more adventurous, a deep red or purple is a great alternative as are vibrant navy and green shades. This Burberry London Suede Trench Coat with Shearling is ideal for cold spring nights.

9.Cross-Body Bag
A sturdy cross-body bag allows your hands to be free as you take a casual window-shopping stroll (or as you run to catch your morning train!). Right now, we're tending to gravitate towards cross-body bags with removable and adjustable shoulder straps which can be tailored to suit a wider range of outfits. Why not try the Marc By Marc Jacobs New Q Natasha Bag in grey, sold by Monnier Frères?

10.Spring Perfume
The last on our list is a great finishing touch to any spring outfit - perfume! Floral’s the word when it comes to spring-time perfumes, although you can go for other options including notes that remind you of the sea, zesty, uplifting scents with grapefruit, citrus or peach accents, or perfumes that remind you of walking in a green field or field of roses. We like the Estée Lauder Modern Muse Le Rouge Eau de Parfum sold by House Of Fraser.

CV stands for ‘curriculum vitae’, a Latin phrase that means ‘course of life’. It is known as a résumé in the US and Canada. It usually contains a summary of your work history, education, skills and extracurricular activities. The following are our tips on how to write a basic CV:

1. Keep the length of your CV to no more than two sides of A4.

2. Choose a simple font such as Garamond, Arial, Verdana, Helvetica or Calibri in 10 point or 11 point.

3. Use bullet points wherever relevant to break up the text, and use bold for emphasis.

4. Write in the first person.

5. Include your full name and contact details (such as mobile phone number, email address and home address) somewhere at the top of your CV. You will not need to include personal details such as age or a photo unless you’re applying for an acting or modelling job. Do not include your date of birth.

6. List and date all previous education in reverse chronological order. Include your grades and any professional qualifications you’ve achieved. Start with your most impressive qualifications for each educational institute.

7. List and date all previous employment, including internships and voluntary roles, in reverse chronological order. Make sure to include detailed examples of your tasks, skills and responsibilities in bullet points. Use clear job titles.

8. Dedicate a separate section for your relevant key skills, knowledge of software, achievements, awards and any extracurricular activities or hobbies relevant to the role.

9. Remember that you’ll need to explain any gaps in your CV to your employer at interview.

10. Seek permission from referees before adding them to your CV. You’ll need to include their full name, their relation to you, their job title and where they work, and contact details including phone number and email address.

11. Optional: Write a personal profile which is a brief summary (about five sentences) of your background and ambitions. Focus on the most relevant and impressive facts about you that match the role being advertised.

12. Spell-check and proof-read! Get a trusted friend to proof-read your CV for spelling, grammar and formatting mistakes, as well as suggestions for improving content.

Flats came back in a big way last year and thankfully, everyone's love for a good set of staple flats have carried through into SS15! Thanks to b4Ballerinas, we've got the entire summer to showcase our love for ballet pumps.

Not just the shoe of us everyday plebeians, ballet flats are a hit with celebrities too! Check out how Victoria's Secret angel Candice Swanepoel, singer-songwriter Taylor Swift and fashion icon Olivia Palermo style their pumps in our edits below.

Audrey Hepburn was a MAJOR fan of ballet pumps and though she may have played some very eccentric extroverts, the star herself was very shy indeed! Ballet flats may have evolved since when Audrey touted hers about town but remain a classic wardrobe staple for every woman.

Lastly, don't forget to stock up on several of your favourites from our SS15 best picks edit!
