In summer, pared-down basics are everything and boy do we love a bodysuit. Sleek, simple and perfect for pretty much every occasion, the bodysuit sits somewhere between your best-fitting top and feel-good lingerie.

Got a night out with the girls planned? A wrap skirt and long-sleeved bodysuit is a fail-safe look for desk to dark – just change from flats to a pair of block-heeled sandals and add a stack of bangles.

For your holiday wardrobe, it’s all about simple sleeveless styles in bold colours and textures. Think ribbed one-pieces with halter-necks and deep V-necks to pair with cut-off denim shorts and boho-inspired wide-leg trousers.

For the weekend, a simple black or white number with jeans and a designer tote is guaranteed to become your go-to – simply add oversized sunnies for instant cool.

Ahh block heels! My favourite kind of heels… Not comfortable as flats but not painful as stiletto heels. Block heels are the perfect shoe for any summer party or event. Think about all the times you tried to save your pointy heels from the grass during a party. Or the times you wanted to throw away your heels and walk barefoot. Well if you were wearing block heels you would’ve never had this kind of problem. Especially in mid-heels, this style looks great with anything. Want to spice up your day look? Add some block heels without being scared. Want to wear cute heels to a summer party? Add some block heels and you’re ready to go! #heels #blockheels #style #party #summer #trend #fashion

Classic flat shoes are a good solution for a polished and complete look. They are equally feminine and casual, which means they can be combined with skirts, minis, dresses, crop pants, etc.!Credits: Pinterest

Want the low-down on the best organization secrets from a professional jetsetter?  We tried the pack light challenge and discovered  top five tips for  travelling light...

Roll it or cube it

Packing cubes are the best way to pack if you hate rolling your clothes. They keep things from getting wrinkled and are great for squeezing every last inch of space from your suitcase.

Proportion game

Pack your heaviest items at the bottom of your suitcase and close to the wheels. It's easier to roll along lengthy airport halls when the weight is closer to the ground.

Shoe conundrum

Go for flip-flops and luxe heeled sandals over awkwardly-shaped shoes as these take up very little space. Add a pair of flats that will look amazing with pants or dresses and are comfy enough for walking around the city and of course, save room by wearing your bulkiest pair on the plane.

Cosmetics

Opt for a travel-sized kit of toiletries and essentials. Try a beauty box filled with the go-to products that will save your skin abroad and make life easier.

Tech

Keep your devices to a minimum, this will free up space occupied by chargers too. If you're going on vacation your smartphone and iPad will be more than enough.

The weekend is close and that means one thing: brunch with someone cute. Whether you’re heading out on a date to crunch avocado toast with somebody you’ve just met or enjoying a coffee with your husband or wife, dressing to impress is still a must.

Brunch dates are the best, because they’re casual, comfortable and cool. We’ve compiled a few tips on how to ensuring your outfit perfectly mirrors this low-key vibe…

Brighten up

Sure monochrome is chic, but a playful pop of colour never hurt anyone. Sunny daytime dates call for a more cheerful get-up, so rock your pink, red and yellow tones with pride.

Flat out

Mules, loafers and sneakers are perfect for sunny days. Cosy up with your special someone over pancakes, leave the heels at home and rock your comfiest flats for this date.

In the mix

Sure denim is low-key so throw on a statement top and some next-level accessories. Guys, mix shirts and blazers with jeans and take those designer trainers out for a spin too.

No shade

Sunnies are an essential element of any date-by-day look. Rock yours to elevate your outfit and if you’re feeling especially cute, opt for his and hers styles in cool vintage silhouettes.

Finally, the wait is over. After months of excitement, this Saturday May 19, the most talked about couple of the year will tie the knot at St George's Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle. As far as we know, they've chosen a carriage and arranged luxurious catering for 600 guests including Sir Elton John and the Spice Girls. Meghan Markle will have no adult bridesmaids as she's unable to choose between her friends and will instead be surrounded page boys, bridesmaids and flower girls.

However, just like the rest of the world, what the team at SHOPCADE is mostly excited about is the dress. All bets are off when it comes to the designer though Ralph & Russo and Erdem are among the rumoured but whoever it is, the designer will go down in history.

Our Editors have a few ideas for the perfect royal wedding guest outfit, so you can join in on the fun, even if your invite got lost in the mail.

A polka dot dress would definitely make the cut, it's classic and elegant. Pair it with strappy heels and a simple clutch for a play-it-safe look. Next up, an edgier look with flats and a long-sleeved silk dress. And finally, a statement look by way of a Victorian-inspired ruffled top with flattering pants and mules. Chic and royal-wedding ready.

Many red carpet events have the rule of heels, and celebs are not for this rule! In Cannes 2018, Kristen Stewart posed with her Christian Louboutin Stilettos and took off her shoes to show that she doesn’t care what Cannes says! In 2016 the famous actress swapped her heels to Converse shoes in a gala to emphasise her ideals. You go girl! If women want to wear flats on the red carpet, they should, if they want to wear heels, that’s fine too. But if there aren’t rules for men, then no rules for women! #cannes #kristenstewart #heels #flats #protest #festival #redcarpet

Last year brought us the statement sneaker with wrap fronts and knotted laces but 2018 has taken this ultra-cool trend to elegant new heights, with from Jeffrey Campbell to Loeffler Randall offering up knotted mules and pumps.

As we’re partial to a statement shoe, we’ve been crushing on every iteration, from velvet slides to spike-heeled mules. This gorgeous trend is a winner for spring and summer, with knot-front footwear complementing just about every look out there.

Try teaming a pair of knotted flats with your favourite jeans, or for an office-appropriate look, team your block-heeled twist-front mules with a simple midi dress. Browse our gallery above for inspiration and shop our edit of the best below…

There's nothing new about the allure of a white shoe. Dominating the 80's, this hue has been gaining ground as a certified new addition to footwear, since last season. After the white trainer boom (which is still going strong by the way) this shade has become popular in all shapes and sizes: Whether they're slingbacks, "ugly" trainers, ankle boots, thigh-high boots or your basic pumps white shoes are everywhere.

There's something about this particular colour that elevates each outfit to rich status especially if you keep them in a pristine condition. They've also received a lot of designer approval from Vetements to Rejina Pyo or Topshop making sure that they have evolved from their 80's version to a current aesthetic.

This season was a great example of pure sophistication when it comes to white shoes. We had the chance to feast our eyes on some pretty impressive street style photography of slouchy boots, spiky stilettos or flats including mules and loafers. Now if you want to really nail top-of-the-art glam pair them in juxtaposition with black accessories or clothing. Think of your basic LBD paired with thigh-high boots and a furry black bag for a very chic evening look.

For a smart-casual approach team a pair of white slingbacks with leggings and the uber-elegant vinyl trench. For some extra modern appeal make sure your trench is in a checked pattern and add a pair of extra slim sunnies with coloured lenses.

Practicality seems to have been a winning trend for the past two seasons. Reaching a happy medium between comfort and elegance is not that much of a stretch and our feet thank us for it. Street style is no longer about stilettos; now the cool crowd is wearing trainers, brogues, loafers and mules –  a big relief if you ask us.

Sure, heels are great for parties but we must admit, we’ve been swapping our spike heels for chunky styles from designers like Gucci –  the perfect way to add a few inches without compromising on comfort.

When it comes to cool flats, why not opt for a pair of boho moccasins, or a classic brogue? Our personal favourites? Trainers with a chunky sole for extra height. Alexa Chung and Olivia Palermo are proving the power of a well chosen flat for day and evening. Even Victoria Beckham – queen of the court shoe – has been spotted in spring brogues, sneakers and ballet flats.

How to wear flats and look cool?

Opt for an office-ready look by styling your flats with a tailored suit, a sleek leather backpack and a low bun.

Don a pair of embroidered slippers or embellished ballet pumps to put a fresh spin on your evening party dress.
