I think by now all of you already know how much I love the overall glossy look. So this one courtesy of @milkmakeup is right on my alley. I really like the orchid colour on both eyes and lips, and how the eyeshadow goes up into the brows of the model. But what really makes this makeup look stand out is the placement of the highlighter. It's so beautiful and precise that creates this glowy look in the complexion without too much effort. Photo Credit: @milkmakeup on Twitter #makeup #beauty #glossy #milkmakeup #trend

It's always a good time to start taking care of our skin. A comprehensive beauty routine can allow us to retain a youthful glowing skin for much longer. So what does that routine comprise of, you ask? Don't worry we have you covered! Read on for all the essentials you'll need.

1. Minimise those Pores

The older we get the more expanded our pores likely to stay. Try a cleanser with salicylic acid that breaks down the oil in the pores.

2. Try the Strip

In order to deflate and clean pores, you'll need some strips

3. SPF

Ageing skin's best friend is a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least an SPF 30. Slather a great portion of SPF on your face and body.

4. Beauty Sleep

According to research if you sleep at least 15 minutes earlier you're bound to shed a few lines off your eyes. The dark circles will diminish significantly if you add a few more minutes to your sleep. Extra tip: log off and avoid exercise before going to bed.

5. Slather on the Antioxidants

Try products containing caffeine, green tea, pomegranate, or Coenzyme Q10 for the best results!

6. Retinol Wonder

Retinol really does wonders for the fine lines but don't overdo it as it can increase sun sensitivity making you itch possibly. Instead, dab small portions or dilute them with plain moisturiser.

2017 saw a lot of glitter and that's coming from someone who always sees a lot of glitter. So it is no surprise that I am completely obsessed with glitter as a make up trend for 2018. Make it subtle, a sprinkle on the eyelids or to enhance your usual smoky eye. Or if you're like me and an ambassador of the sparkly stuff, pile it all over your eyes to seriously stand out. This makeup looks so luxe. I love the mix of taupe brown shades on both eyes and lips. Even the colour palette of the makeup can match the earrings and the nails of the model. I also really like seeing models from different cultures joining gratefully the fashion industry. This makeup look from Molly is simply amazing! The copper tones on the eyes works extremely well with the nude lip colour. I love the way that her hair and outfit contrasts heavily with the look too! #motd #beautsoup #makeupinspo Photo Credit: @beautsoup on Twitter

I'm loving the match between the hair and the eye makeup in this makeup look. The cut-crease and halo technique on the eyes is stunning but is the lilac hair that really caught your eye. Pastel hair is really 2017, but maybe we still are going to see it in 2018. Photo Credit: @abhcosmetics on twitter #makeup #beauty #trend #pastel

Our necks are feeling a bit bare with the jewellery spotlight currently trained on the ear. So donning a gold medallion is a great way to draw eyes a little lower. Less ostentatious rapper, more beautiful historic heirloom, the medallions (necklace pendants) available now tend to be round and poetic, with tiny motifs etched in inspired by the arts or religion, hanging from a chain. You’ve probably spotted Alighieri’s perfectly imperfect styles dangling down stylish presenter Laura Jackson’s back and from streetstyle star Camille Charriere’s neck on Instagram.

Wondering why now when you’re probably wrapping up with a blanket-sized scarf which will totally conceal said medallion? The answer is because it’s unexpected and will add an unusual edge to whatever you’re wearing. Whether against bare skin after dark when all your layers have been shed or arranged over a high neck, these small-but-impactful pieces are also likely to start a conversation: “Tell me more about that unusual necklace." Name pendants are pretty common (in all sense of the word) now but there’s still an air of mystery around the gold medallion that you’ll gain by default by wearing it.
