Winona Ryder has resurfaced this year in an unexpected way. The beloved actress nabbed not only the lead in a new Netflix series, Stranger Things, but also the cover of the July edition of The Edit Magazine!

In her interview, Winona talks about ageing gracefully: resisting other's advice to get plastic surgery (rude! her face is already perfect) and her love for her forehead lines.

Winona may be down-to-earth, but her outfits in the spread are absolutely heavenly: lush maxis in deep greens & blues.

Fashion month has come to an end and it won't be 'til September when we're treated once more to a barrage of catwalk shows, stylishly clad FROW revellers, presentations and model after-parties. Looking back at the some of the main players at PFW, we dig a little deeper at three of the week's standout trends...

No holds barred embellishment: We're seeing runway trends trickling down to high-street designs at quicker rates and when it comes to embellished garments, who better to inform next season's decked out frocks than the likes of Valentino, Balenciaga, Mugler and Balmain?

Conceptual: Unless you've received an invitation to the Met Ball or are an avid collector of architectural fashion pieces, it's unlikely you'll be taking to the streets in Comme de Garcons' samurai armour inspired gowns. Other left field looks from the AW16 shows can be found in Issey Miyake and Yunya Watanabe's collections.

Back to basics: With Christian Dior, John Galliano, Hermes and Celine working simplicity back into their mood boards, we're loving another influx of conservative two-pieces, grecian style draped maxi dresses and basic cuts.

As NYFW's AW16 showcase draws to a close, we take a look at what trends have already and continue to make an impact on collections both high-street and high-end in new and surprising ways!

Fantasy Florals: We've been bombarded by florals for as long as we can remember but the dark, romantic fantasy florals on the Rodarte runway have really captured our imaginations. Other designers working a re-vamped floral theme (be it print or texture orientated) include Tommy Hilfiger and Michael Kors.

Reach For The Thigh: Fenty Puma by Rihanna's show not only impressed the hell out of Kanye but all those with a penchant for anything thigh high - boots, hold-ups etc. On and off the runway, thigh high boots are the shoes that rule the roost!

Velvet [Not So] Underground: Velvet packs a luxe look and feel that appeals to even the pickiest of fashionistas. We've yet to have our fill of velvet ankle boots and blazers but designers such as M. Martin and Monse are using the fabric for boiler suits and beautiful sweeping gowns.

Lighting up the red carpet in Leicester Square for the London premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, new lead actress Daisy Ridley (who plays heroine Rey) stole our hearts with her black embellished cutout gown designed by Roland Mouret.

With critics keeping schtum about what it is exactly that happens in the film, only revealing that "This is the sequel you're looking for" etc., all those wary of spoilers can relax and breathe a sigh of relief- we're here to share who we reckon are the best dressed ladies of the night!

Lupita Nyong'o posed for the cameras in a look featuring a long-sleeved peplum upper and studded chainmail skirt with long tassels. Her blue lipstick may be unconventional but fit in with the space opera themed red carpet lineup.

Lastly, Gwendoline Christie captured our hearts once again in a dazzling blue floor length gown. Speaking to Express.co.uk, Gwendoline said: "I'm so grateful to play a character like Captain Phasma who I think is truly progressive.

"She's a woman that we form a relationship with due to her character, rather than first and foremost the way she looks. I think that is incredibly interesting in our modern culture."

Wedding guest outfits can be a nightmare to shop for and with wedding season now in full swing, we've rounded up the best pieces, both designer and high street, to help you on your way.

From gorgeous cocktail dresses in the typical spring wedding guest theme - pretty sorbet shades and floaty florals - to floor-length show stoppers you'll want to wear again and again.

We haven't left the accessories to chance either, with gorgeous box clutches, strappy new season sandals and chic accessories to amp up your day dress in an instant.

Shoe wise, more is definitely more. Lace-up heels are still a firm favourite among the fash-pack, and a great time to really experiment with statement styles is during wedding season. Isabel Marant, Aquazzura and Carvela are all well worth a look.

Yes, everything you need for that head-turning wedding guest outfit is all covered in our occasion dressing edit. You can thank us later, ladies.

Shop our outfit picks below and scroll right in our gallery above to see which stylish celebs are getting married this year... what do you think their dress code will be?!
