Whether you’re at home or on holiday, dressing for summer can be tricky – especially if the temperatures soar. We’re usually happiest in a fail-safe white dress for on and off duty, or this season’s white culottes and a cool camisole.

In fact, wearing light, neutral shades, breezy fabrics and unique silhouettes is the only way to dress in summer if you want to look and feel cool but nailing your summer wardrobe doesn’t stop there.

What about underneath our clothes? The last thing you want is to pair a gorgeous white dress with the wrong underwear or experience a wardrobe malfunction on a summer’s day thanks to ill-matched lingerie.

We looked to a selection of our favourite high-end brands for the perfect bits and pieces to rock under your summer dress or with a pair of linen trousers.

Made from luxe natural fabrics like cotton and silk with delicate lace, pretty detailing these pieces are ideal in light, bright colours and simple silhouettes.

With a ton of styles to suit your body, whatever your shape or size, these picks will help you feel like a million bucks on a warm sunny day...

Even though band tees are nothing new, they're always on trend. Worn originally for no other purpose than to show your love for the music, now they've become a certified status symbol, with a ton of designers creating their own iterations.

Band T-shirts are an off-duty staple for celebs and influencers from Kendall Jenner's AC/DC and Slasher tees, to Gigi Hadid rocking a Metallica design, stars love an excuse to give their favourite acts a nod.

Now you might think a band tee should be strictly reserved for your off-duty line-up, but that’s where you’re wrong. We happen to think you can rock one for every occasion, so here’s how to style yours according to our Editors…

For off-duty

Pair your band tee with a pair of high-waisted jeans for an effortlessly cool look. Add ankle boots, vintage sunnies and a fedora hat for major rock 'n’ roll vibes. Or, in warmer weather, throw on your slides and distressed denim shorts in a pale wash or bright white hue.

For brunch

Opt for a relaxed look by wearing your T-shirt with a long summer skirt, espadrilles, a straw hat and an XXL bag containing all your day-to-day essentials.

For the gym

Rock your band tee over yoga-ready leggings, trainers and have your music up loud. Well, blasting your favourite band's tunes is optional, but we recommend it.

For travelling

For true rockstar feels work your band tee into your travel line-up. Wear it with a pair of relaxed culottes, comfy slides, sunnies and a snuggly scarf for those long-haul flights.

For the office

Finally, make a statement in a T-shirt with wide-leg, high-waisted trousers and heels. A cool block-heeled mule will elevate your look so all you’ll need to do is add an elegant shoulder bag and a chunky watch for keeping track of your meetings.

Ready to rock a band tee this season? We've selected ten of the best so browse the edit below to shop them...

A few years ago, none of us would have dreamed of rocking trainers in the office. These days, a fancy sneaker is a cool girl staple and we’re loving it.

Gone are the days of sprinting to work in your neon running shoes and low-key changing into heels beneath your desk. In 2018, luxe sneakers are perfect office attire and great for the weekend too.

We’ve rounded up a few of our favourites from high-end and affordable brands to see you through spring and into summer in style. Think platform soles, jute detailing, ribbon laces and plenty of new-season tones.

Pair these sneaker styles with culottes, ruffled tops and midi dresses for work and rock them with distressed denim and cute slogan tees at the weekend. Have fun with colour, texture and statement detailing and make dressing down the new dressing up…

Following the line that the more significant, the better, the wide leg pants will also have their moment of glory for a while. In a time when you're either in skinny jeans or culottes. Credits: Pinterest

It seems as if since the beginning of time a magic fairy godmother awarded all French women with effortless style and elegance. From 60's Brigitte Bardot to Vanessa Paradis and Jeanne Damas there's no denying that Parisian chic is very specific yet unattainable. But what does that mean for the rest of us? We here at Shopcade have aimed to dissect the authentic French style and follow a few simple rules to nail it this Spring?

Beauty & Hair

The first rule of the School of French style is that there simply are no general rules. Developing your individual style is part of the process. This process never fails to involve mineral toning water, eye cream and a great SPF cream. A thorough beauty routine with quality products makes all the difference for French women as they wear minimal make up. "I only wear red lipstick everyday, "said Jeanne Damas in a recent interview for Man Repeller. French girls emphasize on taking care of their skin instead of covering it up with endless layers of make up. They wear little foundation, use hair spray for a sexy out of bed look and have a signature scent!

Show off your Pins

Baring your legs as much as possible like French style blogger Camille Charriére is another Parisian staple. Sport your mini summer dresses, vinyl red skirts, LBDs or uber chic culottes which are basically very cool and elegant ways to nail French chic.

Where Did You Get That Shirt?

All Parisian girls own a great white shirt in their wardrobe as it's ultimately versatile and oh so chic. You can literally pair it with anything that may hang in your wardrobe: from jean bell bottoms to a pencil skirt, a pair of denim shorts, with smart trousers at the office even worn loosely over your swimsuit at the beach. Go for a white crisp shirt fitted or oversized and try a Breton design - another French girl favourite.

Quality outerwear

Even though we're in July we can recognise a quality outerwear item in all seasons. From a boxy blazer, to an elongating raincoat or a simple rock n roll biker jacket the options are endless.. Take cues from French chic and really look which outerwear items will look best with your wardrobe essentials.

Accessories

When it comes to accessories they should always include a great hat, basket bag, earrings, and a quality watch. Less is definetely more so "Before you leave the house, take a look in the mirror, and take one thing off", as the mother of Parisian chic Coco Chanel used to say.

Style icons

Brigitte Bardot, Jane Birkin, Vanessa Paradis and Clemence Poesy are among many of the greats. For new sources of inspiration, follow Parisian blogger Camille Charrière, Jeanne Damas, Camille Rowe, Lily Rose Depp and Louise Follain on Instagram.

Scroll down below and see how you can nail French style this Spring!

Yes, double denim is back. The classic Canadian tuxedo comprising of a denim shirt and pair of trousers is making a comeback but this time it's getting a very European facelift. Although the combination still relies on the mix of trousers and shirt but this time that shirt is getting an update. The simple button-down shirt is replaced by a mis-buttoned denim jacket or the denim of the jacket and pair of trousers is briefly interrupted by a chunky roll-neck sweater or a frilly long dress.

Go for the ultimate Canadian tuxedo moment by pairing the denim jacket blankly with a pair of denim trousers or try a denim skirt or culottes for effect. This platitudinous trend's re-emergence is attributed to Creative Director of Vetements Demna Gvasalia who first ignited the idea during the SS17 menswear collection.

Summer has arrived.

It’s the time we’ve all been waiting for and after endless days of rain and grey weather, we couldn’t be happier to welcome the good weather. Even if that means we have to go through a few days of scorching heat…

Because as we saw from last week’s heatwave, global warming is most definitely a thing and we’re not used to weather reaching levels that high in the UK.

Luckily, all hope isn’t lost as we’ve got the best outfits to tackle the heatwave with utmost style. Because no one knows when the air conditioning is going to breakdown….

The first item we recommend investing in is a pair of wide-leg culottes. Perfect for a day in the office, they’re a comfortable way to cover you legs and look great paired with heels and a light blouse.

Another go-to outfit when it gets warm is the all-white look. There’s nothing worse than wearing dark colours in the sun, and this season all-white outfits have been spotted among all our favourite bloggers so you have every reason to try out the trend yourself.

A must this season is also the crochet top. Best worn with a simple bandeau underneath, it’s the coolest way to add a touch of colour to a casual outfit on a summery day.

Another item that you should definitely add to your summer wardrobe if you haven’t already is a white shirt dress. It’s a classic, but we can guarantee it’s not going anywhere and it can be styled a bajillion different ways so there's no reason not to get yourself one.

Finally, the ultimate evening outfit for the summer is the chiffon dress. If you’re unsure what style to go for, opt for flowers and warm tones - it’s hands down the most elegant way to manage the heat with style!

Now click through the gallery to see the outfits and then shop them below! Hurry, most of the items are up to 50% off...

Aside from your charming personality and your widest smile, a killer outfit is arguably the most important thing to bring to a date. And if it's a Valentine's Day date, the stakes are even higher. Your outfit is not only going to boost your confidence, but it'll also have your date's eyes glued to you all night!

If you are facing some trouble finding this perfect outfit, then you have come to the right place. We have put together five foolproof outfit ideas that can suit pretty much any occasion! Whether it's a casual evening or a fancy affair, you just might find something to suit your needs.

1) A romper:
A romper can be easy, low-fuss, and still be high fashion if you need it to be. Opt for a tailored black or white piece for something upscale, or tone it down with prints and sandals for a casual date.

2) A midi skirt:
This skirt can again be made extra glam but with minimal effort. Pair any midi skirt, whether fitted or loose, with a white tank top and some heels. Don't forget a cute little structured bag to amp it up!

3) Jeans and heels:
Denim is something that you can pretty much never go wrong with. Put on your comfiest skinny jeans, and tuck a loose printed blouse or top into it. Pair this with some black pumps and an oversized bag for a casual glam look.

4) Culotte pants:
Culottes are on trend this season, and this look can fit any date vibe. Pair it with a fitted crop top for some contrast, and tie up shoes (both heels and flats work) for some eyecatching goodness.

5) A shirt dress:
For another easygoing yet chic piece, you can put on a shirt dress with a waistbelt to add some shape to your look. Whether paired with sandals and no makeup or a statement lip and strappy heels, you'll have a winner on your hands no matter what.

With everyone on the lookout to be a standout on New Year's Eve, it's hard to find and maintain your own statement aesthetic. And though the norm is to wear a shimmery party dress with heels to match, we think it's time to switch it up a little. If you realistically intend to dance and be on your feet all night to bring in the new year, why not do it in the most agreeable shoe there is - the trusty sneaker. But if you think that these kicks are too casual for NYE outfits, then we have just the list for you! Read on for some styling tips, and step into 2017 with comfort!

a) Pair them with culotte pants The formal-casual hybrid outfit is a huge trend lately, and you can take major advantage of that this party season. Like Kendall Jenner, you can pair your sneakers with culotte pants and a cute top for a comfortably chic vibe. It'll prep up the sneakers, and relax the culottes. Perfect for New Year's!

b) Pair them with a midi dress Midi dresses have turned into a must-have in 2016, and we have a feeling that they will definitely work their way into the next year as well. And you can easily pair your favourite plain midi dress with white or coloured sneakers to create a quirky and colourful look! This allows you to look sporty and casual without losing the feminine touch.

c) Pair them with a suit Feeling like embracing your inner Barney Stinson, but don't wanna kill your feet with fancy heels in the process? You know what to do: throw on your favourite sneakers! It adds a sporty vibe to an otherwise posh suit, and can help you fit into both a casual 2017 celebration as well as an upscale one.

d) Pair them with leather pants If you simply prefer a darker aesthetic, then this one is for you. Tuck your favourite tee into fitted leather pants (or a skirt), and pair this with your iconic kicks (preferably high tops). Add some basic gold accents, and voila - a grungy look!

e) Pair them with a graphic shirt dress You know that if Rihanna wore it, then it's totally approved in our books. Wear your cosiest oversized graphic tee as a dress, and pair it with dark lips, and solid coloured sneakers. Just like Ri-Ri, you'll be the most effortlessly badass chick in the room. Who doesn't want that?!
