This week Marc Jacobs has been revealing the individuals that were photographed for the Fall 2016 ad campaign on Instagram.

The designer stated that the portraits 'represent a collective embodiment of love, honesty, integrity, courage, strength, curiosity and inspiration'. Jacob's has, as usual, pushed the boundaries in his work.

The eclectic mix of models, singers, actors and personalities makes for an exciting campaign. The gothic vibe, dark colour palette and varying textures (YAASS to the feathers) are perfect for A/W. Among those included in the ad are Cara, Kendall, Courtney Love, Marilyn Manson and Missy Elliot. Quite the mix!

The photographs were taken by David Sims and it was styled by Katie Grand- Now that's what you call an all star team!

Jacob's in his posts wrote long commentaries dissecting the individual and unique characteristics each person featured has. It is rare to get such an insight into the inner workings of such a prestigious designer and what exactly it is he looks for in his models.

Speaking about Cara, he said that: 'I am fortunate enough to meet a model with a personality so huge it almost overshadows even the strongest of looks'. High praise indeed.

The designer also noted that what makes Kendall inspiring is her ability to 'effortlessly transform into a look and character', adding that her successful career is testament to her hard work and passion.

Interestingly enough, he titled the photograph 'the supermodel'. Is this the designers way of weighing into the recent drama between Stephanie Seymour/Rebecca Romijn/Gigi/Kendall?

Marc Jacob's A/W ad campaign has certainly not disappointed- this is one of those fashion moments that'll make the history books. What do you think?

She ain't no limelight hogger but don't expect this girl to ever fall off the radar; Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love's only child Frances Bean Cobain is as fascinating as either one of her parents.

One might think she'd be a huge Nirvana or Hole fan, but just before the premiere of Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck, Frances FINALLY spoke out about her musical tastes; "Sorry, promotional people, Universal. I'm more into Mercury Rev, Oasis, Brian Johnston Massacre. The grunge scene is not what I'm interested in," she said.

Explaining what the documentary film meant to her, Frances said; "It's emotional journalism. It's the closest thing to having Kurt tell his own story in his own words - by his own aesthetic, his own perception of the world. It paints a portrait of a man attempting to cope with being a human."

She's modelled, interned at Rolling Stone, creates art and reportedly turned down the role of Alice in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland back in 2009...a curious girl indeed!

Frances Bean Cobain has spoken publicly about her father Kurt for the very first time! In an interview with Rolling Stone, she's revealed that she doesn't actually live Nirvana's music that much...

"Sorry, promotional people, Universal. I'm more into Mercury Rev, Oasis, Brian Johnston Massacre. The grunge scene is not what I'm interested in," she said.

With the Cobain: Montage of Heck documentary out soon, Frances explains; "It's emotional journalism. It's the closest thing to having Kurt tell his own story in his own words - by his own aesthetic, his own perception of the world. It paints a portrait of a man attempting to cope with being a human."
