Valentine’s day is very much geared towards women don’t you think? Flowers, chocolates and jewellery are typical gifts you’d probably like more than the men in your life, but that’s not an excuse not to treat them to something as well. After all, they deserve declarations of love and cool tokens of appreciation just as much as you do if they’re treating you right, and you don’t want them to feel like they’re being taken for granted. So think outside of the box about how you can really surprise him this year.

Maybe it’s a statement shirt or classic knit they’ve had their eye on but haven’t bought yet or a much needed wallet upgrade; this is your chance to show you’ve been paying attention. And if you’d like to go down the novelty route with a heart motif or a pink and red colour palette, do in a tasteful way- say on socks or cult Converse or even rose gold cufflinks for special occasions. Toast your relationship with a bottle of his favourite tipple and he’s bound to be happy with some new headphones for his morning commute or a fitness tracker to monitor his progress in the gym.

Just before we welcome this season's London Fashion Week, we take a look at models with the most enviable off-duty style. The model-off-duty style emerged as a great power player in fashion. The focus expanded from the front-rows and catwalk to the streets shaping trends at the same time. Kendall Jenner has been offering with impressive street style moments for the past few years while It girl newcomer Kaia Gerber has really nailed understated cool.

We are in awe of their accessible looks with a few items here and there that look effortless but are actually are the strategic work of hard-working celebrity stylists like Monica Rose and Maeve Reilly and Karla Welch.

KENDAL JENNER AMERICANA

To incorporate her key style elements you may want to stock up on statement boots, fishnet touches, vinyl pants and many a pair of distressed jeans. Whether it's Kendal Jenner's tracksuit and Yeezy Season 4 stiletto boots, or her beloved sparkly CHANEL boots and jeans combo the oversized boot is a Kendall favourite.

GIGI HADID ATHLEISURE

No one wears athleisure like Gigi Hadid. Is has truly mastered the art of living elegantly in sweats, plain or bedazzled cashmere. Her favourite look comprises of leggings, a cropped sweatshirt and a hoodie tied around her waist to emphasize her toned abs. To elevate her basic sports look to athleisure status she opts for a tote instead of a gym bag and a faux fur coat instead of a parka.

KAIA GERBER PLAYFUL

Gerber's off-duty look is an interesting combination of minimal yet playful elements resulting in a unique street style approach. Her ensembles always catch our eye without being overly bold. After appearing in the premium denim brand's campaign of Hudson's she began sporting classic jeans with tops - often cropped and a range of hoodies. When it comes to footwear, she's obsessed with classic Chuck Taylor Converse high tops.

Just yesterday we commented on the vast resurgence of the trainer being elevated to haute couture status. Actually, the simplest trainer paired with couture looks absolutely mesmerizing. Just ask any of its devotees like Street Style Influencer of the Year Veronika Heilbrunner or Fashion Director Lisa Aiken. But there's one fashion influencer that is absolutely dedicated to her trainers so much so that she didn't wear much else during Paris Couture Fashion Week. We're talking about model Kaia Gerber and her affinity to a pair of black high top Converse. Almost all of her off-duty looks comprised of styling variations of the trainers.

For a naughties throwback look, she paired a tomato red zipper sweater with ripped jeans and finished the look with a bright violet lipstick.

On the second say she appeared in a beautiful checked coat that she styled with a black hoodie, black vinyl leggings a small cross body bag, and a  pair of rose coloured tiny frame sunnies.

For her third off-duty look she opted for a pair blue checked trousers a zipped black hoodie, white tee and her fave black high top Converse Chuck Taylor's.

Head to our gallery for more inspiration and see how you can style your Converse trainers in our expert edit below

Veronika Heilbrunner just announced her pregnancy adding her to the roster of fashion influencers Leandra Medine, Pandora Sykes, and Chiara Ferragni that are pregnant at the same time. Veronika has a lot to celebrate. She was named the Street Style Star of the Year as a tribute to her cutting-edge outfits. She has an incredible ability to switch from high to low style or coming them in her own unique version. As her belly grows we except nothing less than maternity style perfection from the fashion influencer.

She was born and raised in Munich Germany where she grew from model to fashion editor, online luxury retailing and editor of Harpers. Bazaar Germany. She then launched her own online publication Hey Woman. Her style has always been an insider's favourite.

There's an effortlessness to her style as she mixes high pieces like a teddy bear fur coat with simple denim and sneakers. Comfy jumper dresses, Converse blazers and tailoring are her staples. Her favourite designers (and we're not talking about Converse or her Vans) are Valentino Couture, Calvin Klein and romantic ethereal dresses from Chloé.

Just have a look at our gallery for more inspiration and shop her best looks from our expert edit below!

This week Shopcade profiles Giorgina Clavarino, the influencer with the very poignant blog name entitled “Giorgina With an Eye”. The former Business school student talks to us about her dream closet, her collab with the playful Mira Mikati brand as she takes us through her morning routine and the elements that define her eclectic sense of personal style.

What compelled you to start a blog? I’m a hyperactive person, so unless I have 100 things to do I am not satisfied with what I have accomplished at the end of the day. The search for new challenges is what made me start my Fashion blog. In 2014, I was finishing my studies at Cass Business School in London and had lots of spare time, so I decided I would actively fill it up with something I was passionate about. I knew my studies at Cass were important because I’ve always dreamed of starting a business of my own one day. I also missed being more creative and having an outlet where I could just share what I loved, which is what my blog became. I had been following The Sartorialist for quite some time, and I loved how he shared photographs of street style in NY and loved how inspirational it was. I think this is what gave me the inspiration and the courage to test myself by starting a blog of my own, to share what I loved too!
#222222">
#222222">What's your relationship with fashion? How did it start and what motivates you to keep at it? I grew up in Milan, so fashion flows in everyone’s blood there. When you grow up in a city which is one of the world’s fashion capitals, you are indoctrinated with fashion from a young age. This probably explains why I was so into fashion since I was about 5. There is always the expectation to be flawless and up to speed with trends all the time. #222222">I think that the person that influenced my style the most however, has been my mother. She has always been a bit of a hippie, which is why since I was 10 I’ve loved wearing Minnetonka, boot cut jeans and have messy beachy hair. #222222">I remember my mother always used to buy stacks of magazines we would flick through together and rip off everything we loved and then make huge collages that I still have hanging in my bedroom in Milan. This then led to me creating my own scrap books, which I considered to be my own bespoke ‘Vogue’ editions, that my friends loved flicking through. The blog was then the evolution #222222">of the scrap book – a virtual version that I could share with more people. What keeps me going is my love for fashion. I know it sounds cheesy but it’s the truth. The creativity, the work, the influences that go behind the fashion industry, the way that you brand your products, the packaging, how you photograph it, the visions of the designers, the styling of the stylists, all the processes from beginning to end inspire me daily and are what motivates me to turn on my blog for a couple of hours a day and write something personal that made me think, laugh, smile, inspired that I want to share with other people.
#222222">
#222222">How would you define your personal style? Do you have any icons people accounts that you follow? When I moved to London my style changed a lot. I love Italian style, but it’s often too timeless and never too daring. Exactly the opposite of what I am, I always love wearing flamboyant clothes, whether it’s wearing a funky hat, a colourful pair of trousers, glittery shoes, or socks. In London you are more liberal, you can experiment with styles and are constantly influenced by different street styles, which in fact are my major influence. I love what people are wearing in the streets, I look at photographs and often attempt to recreate with my twist on what they are wearing. I love doing lots of stuff myself too, whether #222222">its dissembling an old pair of Levi’s, or sewing things onto jackets, designing my own jewellery. My other influences are Frida Kahlo, because I loved how colourful and exuberant her style was. She wasn’t afraid of being different, or better, of being herself. Jane Birkin, as she taught me how to look effortlessly cool with a simple pair of jeans and blouse. Kate Moss, because she always risked and wore the sickest clothes, from leather pants to colourful coats. And finally, to be more contemporary, #222222">I love ‘The Man Repeller’ and Leandra Medine. It’s an account I closely follow on Instagram, as I love how she combines clothes and never takes herself too seriously.
#222222">
#222222">What do you enjoy most about mixing and matching high street with high-end clothing?Proving that style goes beyond the brands you are wearing.
#222222">
#222222">How did the collab with Mira Mikati come about in Winter Wonderland? What are your favourite items from the latest collection and how would you style them? When I saw the collection I immediately imagined them to be captured in Winter Wonderland. Her clothes are so colourful that I wanted to put them in a fun and #222222">cool environment, that I could camouflage myself in. Every piece of Mira Mikati is very exuberant and colourful, so I would style them as I did on Instagram, with a simple pair of jeans to make the coats and jumpers stand out. I love colours in winter, but you must find a balance, so that the focus goes on the hero piece you are wearing e.g. the faux rainbow coat, or a yellow coat.
#222222">
#222222">Can you give us 3 styling rules that you abide by?
#222222">
#222222">1. Mom jeans

2. A pair of ‘70s converse that will go with almost everything

3. A lipstick that lifts every outfit
#222222">
#222222">Whose closet would you raid if you had the chance? Probably Leandra Medine.
#222222">
#222222">What's the biggest misconception about having your own blog? That it’s easy!
#222222">
#222222">What's your morning routine? I never wear lots of make-up, as I am too lazy and always too late to spend too much time on it. When I wake up though I always wash my face with Clinique Anti-Blemish Solution face wash, then clean my face with Kiehl’s Cucumber Herbal Toner and apply Clinique Anti-Blemish hydrant visage. I then add a very thin layer of Light Wonder by Charlotte Tilbury to give that fresh glow for the day and a bit of waterproof mascara by Eyeko. To finish I spray a bit of Twilly d’Hermes to be perfumed all day. I usually then have breakfast at work, which is either salmon on toast and a cappuccino or bread and Nutella. Life is too short to eat healthy all the time, especially in the mornings!
#222222">
#222222">What projects are you working on now? Big projects are still TBC! So stay tuned to discover more in 2018!

@gal_gadot on Instagram is killing it in this outfit. I'm not sure where she got these trousers from - I'd usually go to #Zara or #Mango for a piece like this. I love that she's made this totally casj with #Converse and a bomber jacket. Simple but effortlessly cool, the life of an Instagram girl.
