We're all familiar with that pre-Christmas gifting feeling. We start making lists by artfully extracting information on what our loved ones would like for Christmas. With the same intention we give out information about ourselves. It's all part of the beautiful game of gifting, sharing and ultimately spending time with our favourite people.

For our mothers, sisters and best friends, COACH has a lovely selection of beautifully crafted bags, clutches, cross body bags and other intricately designed accessories that are both bold fun yet classic and chic. Go for a personal charm, a key chain, a gold bangle or a dazzling necklace.

For the men in our lives there's a wide selection of luxe leather items. Go for a practical and sleek leather jacket in a plain monochrome hue or in a bold pattern. Opt for a leather bag or business briefcase and add a personalised tag for the ultimate gifting experience. If you're looking more for a budget solution, choose winter accessories such as leather gloves and a scarf or seasonless winners like a personalised leather wallet or card holder.

Did we mention that many gift items are on sale? Shop your favourite styles below. Hurry sale ends soon.

Yes, double denim is back. The classic Canadian tuxedo comprising of a denim shirt and pair of trousers is making a comeback but this time it's getting a very European facelift. Although the combination still relies on the mix of trousers and shirt but this time that shirt is getting an update. The simple button-down shirt is replaced by a mis-buttoned denim jacket or the denim of the jacket and pair of trousers is briefly interrupted by a chunky roll-neck sweater or a frilly long dress.

Go for the ultimate Canadian tuxedo moment by pairing the denim jacket blankly with a pair of denim trousers or try a denim skirt or culottes for effect. This platitudinous trend's re-emergence is attributed to Creative Director of Vetements Demna Gvasalia who first ignited the idea during the SS17 menswear collection.

The infamous drama following the political rivalries and romance of Queen Elizabeth II's reign is back on Netflix. And we're absolutely crushing over the on and off set style of the show's star Claire Foy. Claire made an impressive jump from the London stage to TV by starring in the BBC drama, "Upstairs Downstairs". She soon appeared as Anne Boleyn in the TV mini-series Wolf Hall in the great company of Damian Lewis.

Nowadays, apart from the part of Elizabeth II that made her a household name, she also returned to the stage as Lady Mcbeth with James McAvoy in Macbeth in February 2013 at the Trafalgar Studios. Claire's style is classic with a modern twist. She goes for simple and elegant designs that are differentiated by a few embellishments here and there. She counts Erdem, Valentino, Duro Olowu and Fendi as her designers of choice and we've seen her red carpet confidence naturally grow.

We all have that over the top friend or family member that is loud and after the excitement and drawn to big bold loud patterns. The important thing to remember about the maximalism lover is to aim for anything that is not basic.

So instead for a mere blazer go for a sequined blazer or a cape. Instead of a baseball cap go for a fedora hat, and instead of a parka or classic trench coat opt for a decadent faux fur coat. In terms of colour hues and patterns the bolder the better. Go for optimistic fuchsias, gold electric blue juxtaposed with white and black. Look into the patterns of Gucci for the ultimate Italian opulent maximalism mantra, or opt for a more affordable version from Ganni and Roland Mouret.

Whether you’re still gearing up for the holidays or you’re already in the fast lane, Hugo Boss will keep you on the right sartorial track come evening. So many invites, late nights and tight deadlines mean time is of the essence so making an instant impact will drive your clothes choices. Dress lovers and tailoring devotees will rejoice at the modern classic styles on offer and the covetable accessories to team them with.

To set the wheels in motion without any outfit U-turns, you’ll need to decipher the dress-code and choose the optimum pieces to win the race for best dressed. If anything goes, you’re golden and you can use the opportunity to experiment with elevated everyday wear - say a paisley print bomber, slim trousers or twinkly blouse. Go down the cool route for ‘smart casual’ by topping statement separates with a leather jacket; and think of decorative dresses and sharp suiting as speedy formal and black tie attire.

The devil’s in the details and the final touches to push your look into entrance-making territory are standout accessories. A tonal rose gold watch will keep you on time and on-trend, while clean, patterned velvet bags add opulence to any occasion. A pocket square and sleek cuff-links will make all the difference with a suit, and rather than a necklace, drape a fringed scarf round your neck. You won’t want to take the minimal shoes- high or flat- off as they really shine and boast eye-catching details.

"You do not understand; this is an Alaïa!", Exclaimed Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone) in a scene of the classic nineties Clueless. Azzedine Alaïa, was one of the most influential designers, precisely because of its unique ideas. He was an artist adored by divas like Naomi Campbell and Lady Gaga because her pieces were always more than objects of clothing: Alaïa made an effort to make his creations a statement. It's finally the season of mulled wine and fairy lights, aka. the best month of the year. This means dressing for the occasion. There's nothing like the classic Christmas jumper. Adorned in Christmas trees, snowmen and thick knits to get cosy in, this is the epitome of December clothing. The sweatshirt shown is @teetsparis (image Instagram), I think this is insanely cute but I'll also be checking out #Topshop and #ASOS.
