Worn by celebs like Emma Watson and Alexa Chung and famed fashion bloggers like Susie Bubble, the brand offers up a blend of boho and tailored pieces with cool British twists. Collaborating with high-end fashion designers and iconic institutions like the V&A on exclusive capsule collections, People Tree is a brand loved by cool girls all over the UK.

Now, you can shop the label’s SS18 collection on SHOPCADE. Discover soft ruffles, ditsy floral prints and classic white dresses with broderie detailing. Paying homage to vintage and romantic styles, there are also pieces for those that want to go bolder.

Having great style doesn’t necessarily mean you should be decked out head to toe in labels. In fact, women with great style rarely opt for conspicuous logos. Mixing high street and designer is an art and so is knowing when to splurge and when to save.

Looking amazing doesn’t cost the earth and our Editors are big fans of affordable brands, especially when they roll out a decent designer dupe or two. We asked them for their tips on how to elevate an outfit, the best designer pieces to invest in and how they make their line-ups look that little bit more polished…

Never underestimate the power of accessories

Can’t afford a designer handbag but can justify that silk scarf? Let’s not forget bag charms and clip-on shoulder straps by the likes of Coach, Fendi, Valentino and Prada. Maximalise your tote’s power to shine with a few high-end additions here and there.

The same goes for your outfit. Tie that silk scarf around your neck, rock a Chanel brooch on your high-street denim jacket and rock expensive jewellery with every look. Jewellery is one of the things worth investing in – you’ll never grow out of it and higher quality pieces will last forever. Plus, most styles are timeless.

Sunglasses are your best friend when trying to achieve that super-polished look and most frames look pretty high-end whether they’re marked with a logo or not.

Do look for convincing designer dupes

From Mango to Zara and even online exclusive brands like Chi Chi, a ton of affordable labels offer great designer dupes. So, if you can’t splash out on runway-fresh styles, rest assured you’ll be able to find a convincing imitation that suits your budget.

We love floral maxi dresses for summer days, chunky buckle belts for off duty, guipure lace for all our big events and cool boxy and boho bags; there are so to choose from this season and all at a pretty reasonable price point.

Buy clothes that fit – tailoring is everything

The most important thing to remember when trying to look chic is that you should be wearing your clothes, they shouldn’t be wearing you. The cut of an outfit makes all the difference so invest in pieces that fit you perfectly and get the ones you really care about tailored. Every woman should have at least one well-fitting jacket, dress and pair of trousers in her line-up.

If the boho style is your thing, ponchos are the key to keeping you warm this season. Wear them with jeans and a shirt or a high-collared top, for a comfortable but less expected look than a simple sweater. Do not misunderstand me, I love sweaters, but there is no way to use a garment that goes outside the norm and also is like being-literally- wrapped in a blanket. Credits: Pinterest

You may be stumped on how to update your look for the season ahead but it’s easier than you might think.A new piece of jewelry is always a safe bet for breathing new life into an old look. Take a quick look in your closet and determine your new-season style; are you more classic or modern?

For a classic look go for minimal stacks of gold and enamel or raw earth-toned touches. For modern twists try maximalist colour, chunky silhouettes, layering and unique design.

Want to know what’s trending for SS18? These are the accessories to invest in...

Statement earrings

When it comes to statement earrings opt for tassels, chandelier styles or architectural shapes to be completely on trend this season. These earrings are meant to be your outfit’s focal point so keep the rest of your look pared down.

Layer everything

Invest in a bunch of pendants to layer, including gold hoops in different sizes, necklaces of different lengths or statement rings that say something about you. The layering and the choice of accessories communicates your individuality so have fun with it.

Matchy matchy

For a black-tie evening or a more formal event, go for a matching necklace and set of earrings or, choose a simple necklace with multiple layers to stay on trend..

Arm party

Opt for an array of bold and colourful bracelets for a hit of boho flair. Blend materials and colours for a cool contrast And keep the rest of your outfit simple.

This season’s palette is filled with earthy desert tones and we’re loving it. Muted yellows, warm blues, and soft tan are trending in a big way. Luckily these hues complement most skin tones and hair colors; from blondes to raven haired gals, redheads to brunettes, everyone looks good in desert tones.

How to style desert-inspired tones?

For a more low-key approach go for spring-ready hues like dusty rose and and olive.

Swap out your conventional grey and cream staples and inject your wardrobe with a subtle hit of color.

Pair hues from the desert palette with rich golds, a pair of summer sandals and a glossy pedicure.

Embrace your inner goth by opting for a darker nail colour choice, and going for a little iconography-inspired jewellery  – think Met Gala vibes.

Go for long flowing silhouettes like a  thigh-spit dress in chocolate or camel and define your waist with a thick leather belt. Finish your look with with a few boho accessories.

Wedding season is here, but if you’re not quite ready to give Meghan and Harry a run for their money – and let’s face it, who can afford to cater for 600 people? – you might want to consider a few shortcuts. We caught up with Fern Godfrey, Editor of the UK’s biggest Wedding blog Rock My Wedding, to discover her tips for planning your dream day on a budget…

What do you love most about being the Editor of Rock My Wedding? Rock My Wedding was founded by Charlotte O’Shea in 2009, when she was planning her own wedding, it’s grown hugely since then and we’re now a team of 10. I’ve been Editor at Rock My Wedding since 2015 and I absolutely love my job.

We get to share people’s love stories every single day, work with beautiful flowers and dresses, and champion incredible wedding suppliers with our directory, The List. The best bit is seeing the wedding photographs of brides who have read RMW religiously while planning their own weddings –- it’s such a great feeling.

What do you find are the most popular wedding themes?

We feature a lot of rustic luxe weddings -– industrial and agricultural buildings with lots of exposed brick and lofty beams, filled with flowers and candles. This theme works beautifully for weddings across Europe as we have so many incredible historic and working buildings to use. The weather in the UK doesn’t always allow for the amazing outdoor celebrations we feature from France, Italy and Spain, but all of the weddings we blog are amazing in their own unique way.

How can one plan a beautiful wedding on a budget?

If you want to save money while planning your big day, then the key thing is decide on what is important to you as a couple. If you chose the areas you’re going to spend on, then you can try to save on the others.

Do you really need wedding favours? Can you serve canapés as a starter and wedding cake as your dessert? Have you considered a Spotify play list rather than a band? Do you really need a pair of designer shoes? If flowers aren’t important to you, then use local foliage and seasonal blooms. The one thing we’d always recommend spending on is professional photographs and a film – these things will allow you to remember your big day forever and so they are the most important part.

Can you share any useful DIY tips?

We’ve created a couple of floral DIY’s for Rock My Wedding readers. The first is a chair back arrangement to take your seating to the next level. The other is for a classic flower crown – these are very popular with boho bridesmaids, especially at cool, rustic weddings out in the countryside, but you can use any kind of flower to achieve the look and feel you want. There are plenty of examples on the Rock My Wedding Instagram feed.

As an expert, what would you pack for a destination wedding?

As a wedding guest? A floral maxi dress, a wide brimmed hat and some sunglasses. As the bride? A soft and flowing gown, some pretty sandals and lots of Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Pressed Powder.

Shop Fern’s edit for the perfect pieces to make your day special, whatever your budget and wherever you’re heading to tie the knot…

Last summer we saw an explosion of boho vibes with bamboo and basket bags taking centre stage. This year, laid-back chic still reigns and we have a few ideas on what the IT-bag of 2018 is set to be…

Inspired by the bright, sporty style of Malibu and Hawaii, colourful bags, backpacks and crossbody styles by Henri Bendel are flooding our Insta feeds.

The eponymous New York label’s latest collection features a statement palette accented with bright contrasting details. Influenced by the vibrant, sunny colors of beachside surf culture, the summer collection eschews neutrality in favour of bold prints in painterly florals, graphic stripes and geometric panels.

Oahu-based influencer Halley Elefante of @TheSaltyBlonde shot her favorite pieces from the new collection on the beach in Hawaii, showcasing her signature cool-girl style with Henri Bendel’s bright, playful accessories.

We love the block-coloured totes for desk to drinks, the cute cross-body bags for weekend wanders and the statement backpacks for adventures further afield.

No matter how far you are from the beach, work a little surf chic into your look and show your #bendelgirl personality on Instagram this summer.

Browse our pick of the best of the summer collection and find a style to suit you…

Florence Welch recently made headlines all over the world as she sang tracks from her new album High as Hope at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Once again, Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine proved her skill not only in song and stage presence, but with her signature theatrical boho style – something we’ve always loved about her.

During the Chanel AW2015 show she conquered the red carpet in a blush-pink pantsuit with eclectic accessories and a huge black fedora hat. While at Erdem she appeared in an emerald-green feather coat, complementing a pair of dark-wash jeans.

A gal truly inspired by the '70s, Florence isn’t afraid of bold print and rocks anything from psychedelic swirls to chintzy florals. Sporting gowns with billowing capes – like that gorgeous custom Gucci column gown she donned for Chime for Change – this singer always wows us with her maximalist style. F

or accessories, Flo seems to love a fringed bag or teeny, tiny clutches. She's a fan of silk scarves, unique headpieces and of course, dangling bohemian earrings.

Dare we say it? We love a high street wedding dress, especially as there’s no longer any shame in buying one. The high street has stepped up its game in recent years and offers a wide array of incredibly chic wedding dresses. That's one thing you can cross of your wedding prep list. Believe it or not, celebs are also jumping on the high street bandwagon.

Take Emily Ratakowski's bold mustard jumpsuit by Zara for example. So many affordable brands are stocking amazing wedding dresses to suit every silhouette and style and ASOS is one of our favourite places to look. With a curated selection of gowns starting at $55, their stellar bridal collection followed on the success of the cult bridesmaid selection.

Browse and discover beautifully-crafted gowns from Needle & Thread, TFNC and the ASOS own brand. Choose from silk, detailed lace, one shoulder, strapless or backless styles. You’ll find body-con and boho options and a departure from traditional white with baby blue, to lilac and soft mint on offer.

For a more traditional approach, why not head to Dorothy Perkins for subtly shimmering lace details? The new bridal collection offers figure-skimming cuts and fluted skirts that exude elegance.
