With yet another fashion month behind us we bracefully look into the future and the next season trends. With minimalistic in New York, Milan went bold, while London and Paris kept a balance between glitter mania and minimal fresh makeup. More specifically we've seen everything from simplistic to shimmering, and rhinestone studded makeup.

GLITTER, GLITTER

The most predominant beauty trend that emerged from Fashion month was glitter. Make up artists truly found innovative ways to add a little sparkle to the models skin. Apart from shiny lip balm, glitter eyelids at Stella Jean and Topshop we were mesmerised by the stick-on stones at Givenchy, Jeremy Scott and Dries Van Noten. One thing is for sure: In SS18 we're going to shine!

GLOWING SKIN

As we all know the foundations of a great make up routine is the base, the treatments to offer a youthful clear glowing complexion. And no we're not talking about age here. At Vercace the original supermodels Naomi, Cindy and Claudia showed us how it's done. While Isabel Marant and Bottega Venetta focused on clear skin and Issey Miyake revealed the ultimate youth trick: pinkish primer around cheekbones and the eyes.

LIPS THAT POP

Cherry blossom is the perfect example for the tonal colour on our lips for SS18. Bright and beautiful that was the choice of hue at Max Mara Chanel and Dolce & Gabbana.

BRIGHT EYES

Electro-pop eyes were all the rage at Missoni in orange, pink and aquamarine while at Marni the tendency was absolutely aquatic: blues, greens and deep turquoises. Think Kylie Minogue circa 2001.

CROPED BOB & FRINGES

The cropped bob is here to stay apparently and the accompanying fringes are also trending but not in the severe Anna Wintour fashion but mostly sweeping like Tom Ford. Fendi took it one step further by adding bright hairflips in blue, green and petrol.

Ariana Grande truly made us proud last night.

Following the deadly terrorist attacks that took place at the end of her concert in Manchester, Ariana reacted with courage and resilience. In less than two weeks time, she put together one of the greatest line ups in Manchester and donated all proceeds to help the families of those affected.

The event brought together Manchester born and other UK stars like Coldplay and Niall Horan with top US artists including Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, The Black Eyed Peas, Miley Cyrus, and Pharrell Williams!

This incredible mix sent a message of unity as the celebrities all sang moving songs and spread messages of love, making for a very emotional atmosphere.

Click through the gallery to watch some of the performances. From Miley and Pharell’s duo to Happy to Ariana and The Black Eyed Peas singing Where Is The Love, we guarantee you’ll get goosebumps.

Designer Tory Burch recently released a video of Poppy Delevigne and two other models dancing to Zay Hilfigerrr and Zayion McCall’s “Juju on That Beat”.

The move caused controversy and Tory Burch was immediately accused of cultural appropriation. Critics found it shocking that the clip used a song by two black artists without featuring any models of colour. Others however, found nothing wrong with it (aside from the awkward dancing, of course).

This isn’t the first time the fashion industry is accused of cultural appropriation. Many similar episodes have been seen, like Marc Jacob sending white models wearing faux wool dreadlocks down the runway or Karlie Kloss dressing like a Japanese Geisha for a shoot.

Nevertheless, Tory Burch did not contest the accusations. She took the video down and immediately apologised, saying:The video was intended to celebrate music that we love with our spring collection. It was never meant to be insensitive in any way. I personally feel badly if this hurt anyone, and I'm truly sorry”.

Every season a new beauty trend comes out of left field. Cast your mind back to 2015, when contouring was non-existent, then 2016 when strobing came on the scene- these beauty trends, which are now cemented in our routines were once brand-spanking new.

The AW17 shows have seen a new beauty must-have technique rise to prominence, the on-purpose smudged lip look. From Preen to Topshop, makeup artists have been emulating post-nightout lips. Yes, they may look like you've just devoured cheesy chips after six tequilas, or kissed a random hottie but this "just-snogged" effect is here to stay.

Val Garland spoke about this look he created at Preen, telling Vogue backstage that "It's about kissing and snogging. This girl goes clubbing, she's confident and she loves kissing. I'm using MAC's Lip Mix and smudging out the line, using a larger brush and buffing it out, and then applying gloss within the lip line but not outside it".

We're all for it. Next time you smudge your lippy whilst applying it on the tube, leave it, and confidently tell people it's on purpose. 'Cus if Preen gives it the seal of approval, then who are we to argue?

We aren't even two weeks into 2017, and there's already new tunes on the block to jam to! Some of our favourite musical artistes have returned to release some songs that will definitely carry us through the year. Here's what we've been loving so far:

1) Chantaje by Shakira ft. Malta
This may be a Spanish song, but it's so incredibly catchy nonetheless! The Latina queen is back on the scene, and brought Colombian music sensation Maluma with her. We've been grooving to this track all week, and you probably will too!

2) All Night Long by The PropheC
Lately we've been seeing some amazing Punjabi-English fusion artists come to the fore, and the PropheC is one who we've been particularly loving. His new album called 'The Lifestyle' has a very unique vibe, where he sings Punjabi love ballads to sick hip-hop and R&B beats. Get listening!

3) Shape of You and Castle On The Hill, both by Ed Sheeran
Following a long break from social media and public appearances, this singer-songwriter is back with TWO new songs! The first two singles from his new album called Divide are out, and we love how different the two songs are. Check them out!

4) Safe Inside by James Arthur
James Arthur is here to remind us to take care of each other in the new year, with his new song Safe Inside. Don't forget to check out the video, which drives the message home even further.

5) Zaalima by Arijit Singh and Harshdeep Kaur
Shah Rukh Khan's Raees is something we're certainly looking forward to, and we got our first little taste of the film with the release of this song. Ain't nothing like a catchy Bollywood love song, and this one has us romanticising away!

Manny Gutierrez has been one of our go-to beauty gurus for a long time now, and he's finally getting the recognition he deserves!

He has boldly and fiercely paved the way for fellow male makeup artists to get their share of the spotlight, and represents a very niche group in the beauty community.

Maybelline has recently made Manny, along with fellow YouTuber MakeupShayla, the face of their new Big Shot campaign, making him the first male ambassador of the brand. We think this is a HUGE deal, and are so happy for him!

Not only does this move put Manny on the map, it also is a big step forward in incorporating diversity into the beauty world. Congratulations, Manny! We think you're the bomb dot com, and totally deserve this incredible opportunity <3
