You know the scenario: You scroll down the feed on your Insta account lusting over a variety of over the top impeccably designed and styled outfits. In most cases, those outfits rely on a mix of high street and designers items that are well are not quite within your reach. This week this is about to change! You can find one of our fave influencers Kristy Wu's absolute must-haves on sale from YOOX! The Australian girl with the minimal sense of style started her blog in 2013 and channelled her inner appetite for effortless elegance. A die-hard fan of the monochrome movement you'll rarely catch Kristy in anything other than black and white creations with the odd grey or denim item, making the cut.

You'll see her sporting a black leather Gucci handbag many Viktor&Rolf white tops and blouses, Helmut Lang tops, and Armani Jeans

In other words, she encompasses the quintessential essence of classic, hassle-free style. In 2016, Kristy was named the official style ambassador for the grand opening of Melbourne's shopping district and she was selected as one of the four faces of the official Melbourne Fashion Week, a year later.

One of her favourite retailers is YOOX, and this week you get a chance to indulge in a real Wish Come True sale including Kristy's lust-haves up that you can find up to 25%off! Wow. We’re going to start by analysing Lawrence’s look at a photocall for her new thriller ‘Red Sparrow’ earlier this week objectively before we weigh in on the sexist row it provoked. Because we haven’t seen such a figure-flaunting, spotlight-stealing LBD since Liz Hurley’s vintage Versace safety pin dress in 1994; a point that’s been widely made by #10;http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-5412753/Jennifer-Lawrence-steals-style-Elizabeth-Hurley.html
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-5412753/Jennifer-Lawrence-steals-style-Elizabeth-Hurley.html
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-5412753/Jennifer-Lawrence-steals-style-Elizabeth-Hurley.html">fashion commentators. And even though the Oscar winner’s dress is also by Versace doesn’t have the same punkish hardware, talk about bootylicious! Lawrence defines her hourglass figure and shows off all of her assets at once thanks to plunging neckline and thigh high slit confidently and shamelessly. Kudos to her for that. Accompanied by smoky eyes, a single gold bracelet, single strap heels and unexpectedly windswept hair, she looks amazing.

The look is problematic for some, however, because Lawrence’s showing an awful lot of skin for a windy winter’s day and her male co-stars were well-wrapped up in comparison. To them, the situation seems to reinforce sexist stereotypes the #TimesUp movement is trying to dispel, despite the dress being black. New Statesman’s deputy editor Helen Lewis tweeted “This is such a quietly depressing (and revealing) image… True equality mean either Jennifer Lawrence getting a coat, or Jeremy Irons having to pose for a photocell in assless chaps” which subsequently went viral. But Lawrence herself gave the best clapback in a lengthy Facebook statement where she asserted her right to wear whatever she wants. “This is not only utterly ridiculous, I am extremely offended. That Versace dress was fabulous, you think I'm going to cover that gorgeous dress up with a coat and a scarf?” Touché. A woman after our own hearts. We’re loving Lawrence’s body confidence at the moment as this outfit follows the incredible plunging metallic gown she wore at the London premiere.

This week our focus surrounds the bag that we've seen on the arms of influencers and fashion editors more than all others combined. Just like the straw basket bag of last year, this material is a bit controversial for winter. But no one stopped wearing the basket bag or the string bag, last year in February either.

The string bag was more of a shopping bag that required an inner bag to hold all of your items safely. This London Fashion Week took notice and presented an evolved version of the bag. Enter the plant pot bag: a transformed evening tote featuring a leather case where you can store your phone and wallet. A few of the "It" bag converts include Hannah Strafford Taylor, Lisa Aiken and Yasmin Sewell.

The design was created by the LA-based brand Staud and has been seen in most Insta accounts especially during London Fashion Week in a variety of hues: from tan to pink, white and red. Fitting in nicely with the rest of the impressive mid-range designer handbags you can purchase the Staud bag without breaking the bank ranging between the $285 and $475 mark.

If you're unsure about the string bag, you can opt for a velvet crush option or a leather version proffered by the fashion pack such as Alexa Chung and Leandra Medine. Wear your favourite style with a day smart outfit and instantly elevate your look.

1. On gâte notre meilleure amie

This week, our Influencer Focus is dedicated to Sandra Diola. If there's anything new to know about beauty, the South Floridian based model features it on her Instagram account. Whether it's a lip tint, enriching hair products or highlighters, you can find them on @sandradrifter. Her understated wardrobe, an enviable mix of playful designers like Ganni from YOOX, pieces from Urban Outfitters and streamlined items by COS, is another reason why we scroll through her feed religiously. We caught up with the busy influencer and aspiring graphic designer to talk style, wellness essentials and designing her boyfriend's album cover.

What compelled you to start your own Instagram account?

I’m from the Philippines, so after moving to Florida, I started my Instagram account because I wanted to be more connected and present. Which is funny, actually, because we end up not being as present with social media.

What do you enjoy most about the creative process?

I enjoy changes in direction and having to invent something new. There’s this feeling of happiness in the middle of a shoot when I know I'm in the zone creatively. It makes me feel even more excited to see the outcome.

What are the challenges and also the benefits of being an influencer?

I guess the challenge would probably be staying true to myself. This means working with brands that align with my ethos, the ones I truly love and want to promote, especially the smaller ones. I guess the benefits would be allowing these smaller brands to be more visible and having the platform to talk about real things that matter to me. Issues that transcend the beautifully styled imagery.

What are your non-negotiables regarding your wellness routine?

MOISTURISING. That’s non-negotiable.

How would you describe your personal style? Do you have any favourite brands?

My style is very easy going. I enjoy wearing colourful outfits that convey elements of nostalgia, which why I love shopping vintage. Some of my favourite designers are Cos, Orseund Iris, and I recently have fallen in love with Ganni from YOOX. I also adore Albisia for jewellery. It's a small brand from my hometown that makes styles by hand.

Which are your staples when it comes to dressing up in the morning?

I'm used to being out all day studying or running to castings and meetings, so I always bring a sweater or cardigan for all-day, for maximum cosiness. Plus, it adds that hygge element to my outfit.

You're always travelling. Which one of your recent destinations was the most memorable to you and why?

I think my most memorable destination will forever be Cuba. The city's architecture, the colours and sceneries were reminiscent of another era. I'll never forget it.
What are you working on at the moment? What are your plans this year?

Apart from growing my work on my platform and modelling, I'm doing graphic design. I’m aiming to make album covers for my boyfriend's music project ‘Pleasure Wars’, finish my book and indulge in more self-care when I find the time.

New year, new jeans? Definitely when you have London’s premium denim specialist Trilogy at your disposal. The boutique’s wardrobe-saving mission since opening in 2006 has been to find every woman their perfect pair of jeans with a handpicked brand edit of luxury essentials and expert knowledge. What used to be a hideous shopping experience is now a happy one because the hottest denim styles and complementary pieces to style them with can be found at a uniquely dedicated place. Vogue voted Trilogy as one of the ‘Best Boutiques in Britain’ four years running, so you’ll be able to transition into the new season effortlessly with easy wardrobe updates that both nod to and transcend the trends.

Whether you’re a wide leg jeans kind of women, all about high rise jeans that streamline curves, or you prefer cropped jeans to show your shoes off as well, Trilogy’s got you covered. It’s worth noting, though, that straight jeans are currently in the spotlight as Spring 18’s key silhouette and you’ll discover unbeatable pairs in new blue denim washes and bright white from J Brand Jeans, AG Jeans and fashion editor favourite Paige. Team them with ankle boots, mules and sneakers depending on the weather.

Perfect jeans need spring coats of the same standard to match, say a trench coat or a blazer and you can really cement your style status with Harris Wharf London’s boxy coat. Now don’t let the ‘boxy’ description put you off, vibrant fresh shades like flamingo and mint give the cut, and therefore any outfit you wear it with, the wow factor. And with Spring’s soft tailoring trend in mind, Trilogy have partnered with Helene Berman to create exclusive versions of the best-selling Alice and Ava styles and a swing mac in versatile navy and stone that are unavailable elsewhere.

Directly underneath to complete your winning looks, there’s are plenty of cosy cashmere knits and button-down blouses to play with. Go classic with Vince and Duffy or make a statement with Jumper 1234, Madeleine Thompson and more. Whatever suits your mood and the occasion.

Click through this season’s highlights in the gallery above and shop your favourite pieces from our edit below.
