Who said that you had to leave the denim items in your wardrobe only for casual occasions? Just like the early naughties, the party jeans are gaining back their reputation as capable LBD alternatives. Emily Ratajkowski certainly thinks so. She sported a pair of straight legged denim jeans with ripped hems with an ethereal silky embroidered kimono by The Kooples to add a bit of glam to the outfit.

She wanted to add a bit more definition and sparkle to her evening look so she placed a pearl and crystal belt around her waist. She put her hair in a half - up Bardot-esque do for the ultimate effortless sexy result. She finished off the look with a pair of black heeled sandals and a leopard print bag.

For a more comprehensive evening look go for a sequinned black top, and pair it with a belt over the knee black boots and a bright coloured tote bag.

Let the top speak for itself and go for a statement off the shoulder ruffled top and pair it with mules and a cute leather clutch.

Channel your inner Victorian vibe and go for the appropriate volume sleeved shirt, soft leather mules and an embroidered drawstring bag. Ready to sport your denim this weekend?

All white is becoming one of the biggest trends of 2018. White tuxedos, all-white outfits and now all-white shoes. White boots were under the spotlight for the Fall Winter season, and now this season white sandals and white heels are the star. It’s just like red heels, yellow shoes, yet it’s white. It’s like black, it goes with everything. So why not opt for a white shoe instead of your regular black one! #white #shoes #heels #streetstyle #style #fashion #trend

As we're clearly in award season mode we thought it would be the best time to get inspired for the ultimate black tie looks! During this year's Golden Globes the actresses made both a political and fashion statement by sporting black on the red carpet. All guests were encouraged to go for black in solidarity with the Time's Up movement, that calls for change by 300 women in film, television and theatre against sexual assault, harassment and inequality.

The black colour was also intended to stop reporters from asking the "who are you wearing" question. And even if their "act of rebellion" lost the point in the terms that the colour doesn't define the dress, and men do get asked that question too. The end result was an array of black gowns and the race for who wore it best was still on.

If you want to play it "safe" then a black ensemble is all you need. Pair it with high stiletto pumps, a cute clutch, red lip and pulled back hair.

Go for a sleek pantsuit and leave the bra at home (just be careful of styling for a enviable and safe result). Add your fave heels a cross body bag and a great piece of jewellery for effect.

Opt a dose of romanticism by wearing a tutu skirt dress with sandals a tiny clutch bag and some sleek makeup.

For a vavavoom effect go for a long silk slip dress in a daring red, elegant black or sleek grey and pair with with sling backs a tiny 90s hand bag and a great hair piece.

Take your cue from the priests and grandpas of this world by slipping your socked feet into an open toed sandal. There. How does that feel? Toasty we’d bet. Besides hiding un-manicured toes, or not depending on how sheer your socks are, you’ll be able to walk through winter in your summer sandals doubling their cost-per-wear ratio. And give your feet a breather from boots and sneakers. Street style stars have been doing this for a while and we can’t fault this subversive styling trick.

There is an art to tastefully putting your socks and sandals together though. As a general rule of thumb, the higher the heel, the chicer the feel and what a welcome refresh a coloured pair is for a monochrome look. Match and clash colours and you’ll need to make sure sock and strap thickness is in sync. A super thin strap will only get lost with a chunky sock ruining the effect. And for goodness sake show them off with cropped trousers and calf-hitting hemlines.

The black stockings continue to generate controversy. Year after year, with the drop off temperatures, the stylistic debate begins on the reasons for taking them or not in winter. As much as some stylists and specialised magazines insist on condemning them, panties and tights are necessary. We are inspired by the celebrities and queens of street style who defend the capacity over old-style rules to wear them at all times and places. Even with sandals like Giovanna Battaglia. We’re as guilty as anyone when it comes to checking out other people’s party shoes. They say a lot about you, like whether you dress from the bottom up and most damningly, whether you sacrifice style for comfort. That’s a personal choice of course, however we do believe that there are six party shoes that every women needs in her wardrobe.

Heels and fancy flats are a given but have you ever considered strutting into a party in sneakers? It’s a no brainer now that dressier and fancier pairs are flooding the market and a nifty styling trick borrowed from the boys: who are well versed in pairing their lace-ups with suits and tailoring. Slide-on-and-go mules were an unglamorous proposition until their ongoing reinvention which started a few seasons ago. And obviously a pair of decorative boots are the most cold-proof option, although eye-catching sandals will show off a killer pedicure.

Step up and shop your favourite styles from our top party picks below!

¨We have gone directly from summer to winter, from sandals to warm booties. Is also evident in our outfits: total black fans abandon the pastel and bright tones of good weather for the minimalism and sophistication of black. From top to bottom including the feet, which this season also point to total black with these ten shoes that we have found Credits: Pinterest
