Blake Lively is suiting up lately… And quite a lot! The famous actress is giving us the Annie Hall vibes with her street style. Wearing suits for her latest red carpet events, Lively confused her fans. Later on she explained that the reason she was wearing suits was to do a shameless self promotion for her latest movie ‘A Simple Favour.” Lively said she styled her character from the movie’s director Paul Feig! #blakelively #movie #suit #suiting #fashion #redcarpet #style #streetstyle

Today is Star Wars day and across the world, people are celebrating the retro movie franchise that first hit our screens in 1977 – whether by rocking a vintage tee or sharing their favourite quotes from the many films created by George Lucas.

Star Wars has inspired designers everywhere with its unique sci-fi aesthetic so it’s no surprise to see homage after homage on the runway. Carolina Herrera channelled Princess Leia chic with her collections, while Christian Louboutin, Rag & Bone and ASOS are among the many brands who’ve teamed up directly with the creators of Star Wars.

When it comes to street style, there are plenty of nods to the cult movies too, with the likes of Gigi Hadid, Megan Fox and Lupita Nyong’o rocking vintage tees to show their appreciation.

Want to steal a little Star Wars style for yourself?

Head to toe dressing is a huge trend in 2018. During the winter it was red for spring it was violet and now its white. Not as white as a wedding maybe but head to toe whites definitely bring on the summer vibes to your wardrobe. You can opt for white suits or white lace dresses to look like a romantic movie. Style your look with bright earrings to top off the trend! #headtotoe #headtotoewhite #monocrome #style #fashion #streetstyle #trend #white #colour

Ice cream chic is a now thing and well before gelato season. Fashion's affinity for the pastel pile-up from the cones to the runway took the form of head-to-toe violet at Victoria Beckham, lemon sorbet at Hermés and pistachio hues at Sies Marjan and it's our Instacrush of the week.

At Helmut Lang, Shayne Oliver took blushing pink and morphed it into its adversary: fetishwear, while Raf Simons at Calvin Klein took baby blue babydolls and turned them into a Rosemary's Baby sinister version. This playfulness aesthetic came about at a year that yearns for aggressive celebration. Winter's metallics, feathers, glitter, rainbows and all round sparkle surrounding a Buz Luhrmann movie set, is the perfect testament to the celebratory moto.

Feel good fashion also was translated into pencil skirts and sheer layers that we can wiggle and shimmy in. Our staples like our trench coats, faux fur coats slip dresses and boots are receiving the joyful reincarnation of their own. Embellishments, diamonds, broaches, and lavish bandanas that would make any fashion girl sigh.

Stockholm Fashion Editor and street style extraordinaire Jeanette Madsen is an ice cream hue aficionado. She has the engaging ability to effortlessly combine pastel shades and evading the baby connotations at the same time.

The past few years  Alicia Vikander has been going from strength to strength both in her acting roles but in her style evolution as well. Her break out year was 2015 when she released seven films, won an academy award for her role as Gerta in the  Danish Girl and landed her first Vogue cover, too. This Oscar winner obviously knows a thing or two about style. She sports unapologetic vibes in her new movie as Lara Croft in Tomb Raider after gaining six kilos of muscle and donned combat shorts and double revolver's to portray the action heroine.

Apart from her action star wardrobe, her fashion credentials are more aspirational including a gig as a Louis Vuitton spokesmodel. It doesn't hurt that Vikander is graceful and poised due to her rigorous dance training at the Swedish Royal Ballet School. She continues to carry that Scandi chic factor working with stylist Victoria Sekrier taking her through awards seasons, premieres and appearances, striking a balance between fashion innovation and nonchalance. Even though her looks are timeless, Vikander likes to blend muted minimal options with sleek tailoring and neutral colours with a few boho details creating her own unique style (a mix of the Marc Jacobs and Chloe girl).

As a model and muse for Nicholas Ghesquiere's Louis Vuitton, she always looks flawless on the red carpet with diverse outfits from high-necked gowns or strapless finds. Other designer favourites include Gucci, Rodarte, McQueen, and emerging brands like Barbara Casasola. If you want to infuse a bit of her everyday style try a long boho skirt a top denim jacket and mules. For an evening look go for the GANNI lace black dress paired with strappy sandals and a crossbody tiny evening bag.

Discovered in the Wolf of Wall Street, next to Leonardo Di Caprio, Margot Robbie works her way into Hollywood with elegance and discretion. The blonde bombshell could have fallen into the trap of the overly sexy actress, but didn’t.

On the red carpet or in real life, the Australian actress stays cool and chic in every circumstance. Of course, her choice was the elegant embroidered Chanel white dress at the Oscars ceremony, where she was nominated for her last movie “I, Tonya”. Margot Robbie oozes glamour and owns it.

Proof is, she is very glamorous in her checked jacket dress and dares wearing a long suede coat on the red carpet. Long coat is one of the must-have to wear pieces outside ceremonies, where Margot Robbie is always stylish without trying too hard. Turtleneck, leather leggings, pyjamas you name it…..everything fits her.

If you have seen Gucci’s latest show I bet you’re wondering the same things as I am! Are human heads the new fashion accessory? In the Fall Winter 2018 show of the renowned brand, the models were carrying heads or baby dragons as accessories. It was definitely a high fashion horror movie! With white floors, walls and led lights, the setting of the show made a notable reference to the TV series Dexter. So the only question is… Should we be scared? #Gucci #fall #winter #show #collection #horror #thriller #Milan #milanfashionweek #fashionweek

They say figure skating is the sport to watch during the winter olympics and given that the movie "I, Tonya" is set to premiere this Friday we're in true ice skating fever. Here's what you need to know.

In the women's figure skating competition at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games, they say there are three types of scores: good, bad and Russian. Aliana  Zagitova and Evgenia Medvedeva seem to be truly unbeatable. Zagitova finished the event with a score of 82.92 points putting her in the first place going into free skate while Medvedeva came in second with a score of 81.61.Tonight, Thursday, February 23 fans will be treated to the conclusion of the women's individual event when the free skates air.

Tonight is also the European premiere of the movie "I, Tonya" featuring Margot Robbie and a Golden Globe Winning performance by Allison Janney as LaVona Harding. Robbie plays Tonya Harding in a biopic about her life and role in the attack on fellow skater Nancy Kerrigan in the run-up to the 1994 Winter Olympics. The skating was secondary to director Craig Gillespie who is more interested in Tonya's life outside the rink.

The story which according to the opening title is based on "irony, free, wildly contradictory, totally true interviews" is told in the form of flashbacks. Hungry for more figure skating? The incredible costumes in 'Black Panther' exceeded our wildest expectations, and so has Lupita Nyong’o 's style in her most recent appearances. Yet again. Because the Kenyan-Mexican actress, who plays Nakia in the groundbreaking movie, first marked herself out as a red carpet fashion superstar on her way to winning her Best Supporting Actress Oscar for ’12 Years A Slave.’ And to promote her most high profile film since, she’s wowed at every turn. There was the floaty purple gown anchored with a jewelled harness she twirled in at the New York premiere; the low cut, high slitted black gown dusted in silver that she wore for the London one; and our favourite look of the lot? The brown Dolce & Gabbana dress she wore at a New York screening of the film earlier this week. This was Nyong’o’s take on nude and she looked like a dream- with the corset bodice and all-over ruching defining her curves. Shimmering metallic earrings, heels and a clutch were the finishing touches. The actress has been flexing her sartorial muscles off the red carpet as well by rocking a on-point blue pencil skirt look at the AW18 Calvin Klein show; and also made the case for double patent by wearing a shiny black trench and matching trousers together on the street. Massive props to her stylist Micaela Erlanger as well.

We don’t think we’re exaggerating to say that Nyong’o’s gorgeous make-up and head-turning hairstyles take her already stunning outfits to another level. Seemingly picking up where the film’s hair department head Camilla Friend left off, the actress has teased her natural hair into a towering twisted top knot, a fluffy high ponytail, sculptural puffs and more in recent works. What wonderful expressions of black beauty! We can't wait to see what she wears next.

Check out Nyong'o's amazing recent looks in the gallery above and then shop our expert fashion and beauty edits below.

After earning her first Oscar nomination at the tender age of 13 for her portrayal of the manipulative teen in the movie Atonement, Saoirse Ronan has been constantly on the Hollywood radar. Since then she has starred in movies such as The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Lovely Bones while earning her second Academy Award nod in 2018 for her starring role in Brooklyn.

Saoirse is a busy girl, attending one premiere after the other, award shows and constant press tours. So she employed celebrity stylist Elizabeth Saltzman to take her look and elevate it to A-star status! She usually goes for young and fresh looking gowns with floral details. Her favourite designers include Gucci, Saint Laurent, Valentino and Alberta Ferretti. She's also a British designer supporter opting for the likes of Christopher Kane, Emilia Wicjstead and Burberry. Her style is always evolving: She goes from romantic pink and innocent white to androgynous black pantsuits and slinky silhouettes.

Our cure for the cabin fever that might be setting in post Christmas and pre New Year’s Eve is gathering your favourites in one place. The people you haven’t seen yet, the long-lost friends at home you’d like to catch up with, old flames, and/or the family you can still stand at yours or theirs to change the ‘eat, watch movie, sleep, repeat’ routine with fun, laughter and games. There’s nothing like a particularly competitive round of Monopoly or Charades to get your mind whirring and juices flowing plus you’ll reminisce about this in the future.

As you recharge your batteries for the new year, you’ll find this may be just what you needed. And there’s no need to dress up either (depending on the crowd). If you’re not sticking to cool pyjamas, we’d suggest a cosy knit dress you can throw on and go with little thought, or a oversized cardigan with jeans with a t-shirt or thermals layered underneath. Enjoy!

Purists are an eclectic bunch. They don't necessarily side with the opinion of minimalists where you may not even be able to buy them a Xmas gift (they won't accept it), but they share an affinity for simple, quality items that bring value to their life without cluttering it. If you're going for clothing opt for a muted colour palette of whites, cremes, pastel colours and uncomplicated silhouettes. Think of a wardrobe similar to Jennifer Lopez's all-white ensemble in the movie "Maid in Manhattan". A lush white coat, white trousers and a chic rollneck pair them with a beaded bag that is turning heads lately.

For a truly beautiful winter outfit, you can get them a beautiful shearling coat a fluffy scarf, an elegant hat and leather gloves. Mansur Gavriel AW17 and Chanel Resort 2018 are your go-to collections for purist inspiration in style and aesthetic. The purist looks for an uncomplicated life and that includes life at home. You can gift them a pair of sleek petite speakers or elegant pc accessories that are both stylish and practical. Believe us, the purist will be pleased.

The famous Christian Louboutin shoe line is launching four designs in collaboration with the anticipated movie Star Wars: the last Jedi. This is the first look at the shoes, and I love it! Old woman syndrome, hibernation, call it what you will. There are some people who won’t be prised from the cozy confines of their home at any age or temperature. For them, nights in and duvet day weekends are the dream and they’ll only venture out in extreme circumstances like work. And with house prices sky-high for renters and buyers alike, in London particularly, surely you can forgive your friends and family for nesting and making the most of their haven. It’s their pride and joy after all and they’ve worked hard for it. Any gift that improves a homebody's sacred time will be a winner.

Lounge wear- from cashmere tracksuits and silky pyjamas to fluffy dressing gowns and sheepskin-lined slippers- is a good place to start provided you know what size they are. A blanket or sofa throw they can snuggle up under while watching a movie or reading a book is nice too and you’ll get extra kudos if you monogram them or provide the reading material. Hot water bottles are more thoughtful than you think if they get particularly cold come winter and the covers are delightful.

It's quite amazing that a trend which quite evocately carries the name 'ugly' in its description can have such an amazing popularity amongst the fashion pack. True, the admittedly ugly trainer is back with a vengeance staught from the guts of any self-respecting 80's movie. From the Breakfast Club to E.T and Back to the Future you must have caught a tv glimpse of that unmistakable chunky big trainer usually a bit worn out, sometimes with bold colourful leashes and in grey tones.

This time, the big difference is that in complete juxtaposition to its normally ugly demeanor, it's being styled with historically proclaimed 'girly' paraphernalia. From puffer skirts, romantic dresses, to your usual everyday business suit and skirt. All the major fashion influencers from Mariannα The Moss to Leandra Medine, Marianne Theodorsen and Pandora Sykes are sporting the trend with unexpected items like luxe vinyl trench coats or smart casual attire.

Invest now in a pair of 'ugly' trainers and immediately amp up your style without changing a thing in your normal wardrobe! Check out our gallery for more inspiration and shop your favourite styles from our exclusive edit below!

I am a big fan of artwork. I think a home is complete with a few photos, a movie poster here, a painting there. There's something about it that makes our interiors much more personal and specific to us. I love this print above. I think having a statement piece, especially positioned in a focal position, such as over your bed, completes a room. This is a really cute one seen on @livpurvis' Instagram. Olivia uses it to draw in all the colours of her bedroom. This is definitely set to be a key interior trend in the new year as we see the gallery wall used less and less.

The Israeli beauty, actress and former model Gal Gadot, gained global popularity from her role in "Wonder Woman". Over the past years she has been a red carpet regular and the former Miss Israeli knows how to make an outfit look glamorous.

Among her most memorable red carpet appearances is the look she sported at the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" premiere. Gal Gadot looked amazing in a red slinky Prada dress. The velvet red gown featured embellished crystals and a deep neckline.

She rocked a bold red lip to finish off the old Hollywood glam At the premiere of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", in New York she opted for a mini bodycon Balmain dress. As the high neck and cut outs of the dress made a big statement, she opted for a natural makeup for balance.

The actress was part of the SS16 campaign of Dolce & Gabanna, and proudly wore a D&G floral number on a Jimmy Kimmel interview the same year. These days you can find her making the rounds at SNL, and her first monologue on the show, taking care of her 7 year old daughter and doing press for her upcoming movie.

On Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last Thursday, she sported a corset-like top with high-waisted wide bell bottoms that made her instantly chic and added more points to her already tall frame.

It's been another great Fashion month and now with PFW drawing the curtain we can round up the best moments and predict the trends that will inform the next Spring/ Summer season!

OVERALL TONE: GLAMOUR MEETS GLITTER!

We've seen a shift from blunt norm core to glitz and frivolity and after fashion month it's evident that this trend is here to stay. Designers want to celebrate the joy of life during darker times. Dries van Noten dedicated her collection to "The Optimist", who knows how to break the rules. The sneaker gave way to its more glamorous version of the Manolo - as a nod both to the glitz and glam but also to the Carrie Bradshaw look that defined the early 00's resurgence that we're experiencing now. We also saw puffed hemline dresses at Saint Laurent, as director Anthony Vaccarello paid a tribute to Pierre Berge, Yves Saint Lauren't long time business and life partner. The end result was a beautiful show of feathers, frills, shimmer and satin. Alessandro Del' Acqua's creations emphasized on big satin separates and glittery dresses full of bold patterns and colours. At Maison Margiela, John Galliano's version of glitz was crystals, feathers and mirror embellishments on coats and dresses. Makes you want to party no matter what.

PANTSUITS AT CELINE

Tennis Club de Paris: Phoebe Philo showcases a stunning collection at a giant-tent bubble structure while Mary J. Blige's rendition of "You're All I Need", blasted through the speakers. The runway was flocked with extra wearable garments for example oversized suits with large trench coats reminiscent of an 80's power businesswoman. The colour palette was equally 80s scrumptious meaning pistachio pastel pink and fair yellow. Another element introduced by CELINE was extreme fringing on the hem of flapper-style dresses. When it came to accessories the theme was volume: oversize totes, balloon like clutches, big gold buckle belts, and chunky white lace oxfords.

HELEN MIRREN & JANE FONDA at L'Oreal x Balmain

The location was Paris Champs de Elysees and the occasion was the L' Oreal x Balmain fall 2017 collaboration. The show starred an array of stunning models like Doutzeb Kroues and Liya Kebede and two movie icons Helen Mirren and Jane Fonda. Mirren was dresses in a suit a la garconne while whipping her cane around with prolific elegance and confidence. Jane Fonda on the other hand, threw peace signs and really owned the long runway. A true inspiration seeing two ladies well into their 70s (Jane Fonda turns 80 at the end of 2017) strutting their stuff with pride.

VIRGIL ABLOH RECREATES ICONIC DIANA SUITS

More specifically, Abloh took the people's princess most wearable looks as an inspiration board just four weeks after the 20th anniversary of her death. The challenge was to re-invent those items without sacrifising them and coming up with a collection that would be in line with the current fashion climate. The result was briliiantly made tartan suits, graphic prints, prim coctail suits, polished whites, polka dot suits, and pastel coloured numbers.

Emma Stone is back in this year's anticipated film: Battle of The Sexes. Based on a true story and set in 1972, the movie highlights the topical gender pay gap, at a time when the United States Lawn Tennis Association had announced a new prize fund offering eight times less for women.

In the film, 29-year-old King is tired of the gender inequality in a sport where women were so shockingly deemed inferior as a means to justify the wage gap. This fuels her ambition to launch the Women's Tennis Association in order to provide an equal working space for women. This irritates most male players including ex-pro Bobby Riggs, played by Steve Carell, who challenges her to the most proficient test: a match or battle of the sexes which in his mind will prove that women are in fact inferior and thus deserve a lesser pay.

Apart from the women's issues and serious Oscar buzz, the film is filled with exquisite 70s fashion moments! Emma wears some amazing geek chic glasses throughout the film, with 70s flared jeans and a pink shirt. This week, the actress attended the premiere wearing a white Tom Ford dress with chain straps, white heels and a statement gold clutch bag. We've recreated a couple of Emma's looks below!

Battle of the Sexes will be released in the UK on 22 November.
