Wimbledon, London:: Get an exclusive behind the scenes look at the revered All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, following in the footsteps of tennis legends. See the hallowed Wimbledon turf, picnic terraces, many of the players' facilities, the Millennium Building, the gorgeous water gardens with their amazing views over London and the famous new roof within the iconic Centre Court. A superb three-course lunch is served up within the Wingfield Cafe and then you can explore the state-of-the-art Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum with interactive exhibits, including a 200-degree cinema. It is packed with tennis memorabilia including the original Wimbledon champions' trophies. End in true Wimbledon style with strawberries and champagne. Availability: Selected Saturdays (excluding Wimbledon fortnight) from April to October. Weather: Duration: Gates open at 10am. The tour begins around 10.30am, lunch is served around 12.30pm and champagne and strawberries around 2.45pm. The experience ends at around 3.30pm. Numbers On Day: A maximum of 30 people share the day. Spectators: Dress Code: Dress code is casual/smart. It's a walking tour (with lots of steps) and some sections are outdoors, so wear comfy shoes and bring a brolly if it's wet. Don't forget your camera. Guidelines: From underground District line to Southfields, the club is a 20 minute walk. By rail, Waterloo to Wimbledon, 25 mins away and well sign-posted from both stations. Bus 493 takes you from Wimbledon mainline station, Tooting Broadway and Southfields tube, stopping at the All England Club and running every 15 mins. There is plenty of off-site free parking on a Saturday. Please follow signs to the museum and make your way to the Wingfield cafe. Restrictions: Any tennis fan is welcome, but children under 16 years old must be accompanied by a participating adult. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended for the tour, which includes a number of stairs. Other Info: District line to Southfields, the club is a 20 minute walk. By rail, Waterloo to Wimbledon, 25 mins. Bus 493 from Wimbledon mainline station, Tooting Broadway and Southfields tube, runs every 15 mins. Free parking available on neighbouring roads on Sats.
