North Queensferry, Fife:: Diving with sharks is a true test of courage and sure to be a very rewarding experience. Kick off with a full briefing on scuba techniques and equipment, before hitting the pool for a training session. Then submerge into the main aquarium tank alongside sand tiger sharks, angel sharks, rays and conger eels. Feel free to play with the smaller fish and wave to the spectators watching from the underwater viewing tunnel as the sharks swim glide around. Bring two guests to the aquarium to see over 2,000 fish, including Tinkerbell the shark - 10ft long and weighing over 30 stone! To conclude, take home a personalised certificate from your instructor. Availability: Saturdays and Sundays at least twice a month throughout the year. This is a very popular experience - book several weeks in advance. Weather: Duration: Training takes an hour and your dive will last for approximately half an hour. Please arrive a few minutes before your session time. Numbers On Day: Briefings, training and the dive will be carried out in a group of up to three people. You will be accompanied at all times by an instructor. Spectators: Admission for four spectators is included. Additional spectators are welcome for the price of £11 for adults and £7.25 for children (payable on the day). Dress Code: Bring a towel and a pair of tracksuit bottoms or leggings, a thin long-sleeved T-shirt or sweatshirt and a warm pair of socks to wear under your dry suit. All scuba equipment will be provided. Contact lenses can be worn but glasses must be removed. Guidelines: From Edinburgh; follow signs for Forth Road Bridge. Once across, take the first exit left and Deep Sea World is signposted. Southbound; exit the M90 at junction 1 following signs through Inverkeithing or Rosyth. Deep Sea World has over 500 free parking spaces. Restrictions: Minimum age is 16. You must be comfortable in water and in good health. If you suffer from claustrophobia, asthma, respiratory/heart problems, certain other medical conditions, or are pregnant, you can't take part. If in doubt, seek medical advice. Other Info: A medical questionnaire and liability release form must be completed before diving. This is a cold water tank so you'll dive in a 'dry suit', which is warmer than a wetsuit. It's not possible to fly for 24 hours after diving.
