Hungerford, Berkshire:: Spend a morning with top racehorse trainer Charlie Mann at his Lambourn stables in the heart of Berkshire's Valley Of The Racehorse. It'll be an early start, but the experience begins with a hearty English breakfast with Charlie himself, which is well worth getting up for. Head up to the gallops to watch Charlie's horses being put through their paces during their morning training session, before learning about what goes into training a winner and tips on spotting one. Enjoy a tour of the yard to meet all the horses currently in training, as well as key members of Charlie's team. Charlie has trained over 800 winners during his career and will answer any questions. It's the perfect present for any racing enthusiast! Availability: Every Wednesday and Saturday, from January to May and September to December. Weather: Bad weather won't affect the day - the horses need training whatever the weather! Duration: This experience lasts around three hours, starting at about 8am. Numbers On Day: This voucher is valid for one person. Join a group of up to four people on the day. Spectators: Unsuitable for spectators. Dress Code: Dress warmly and bear in mind that the stables and gallops can be very muddy. Guidelines: Restrictions: Under 12's must be accompanied by a participating adult. Other Info: Please be aware that we cannot guarantee the presence of Charlie Mann on the day. If he is unavailable, his professional assistant trainer hosts. Badges can be organised for you if there is a race meeting you'd like to attend after the experience.
