Twinkle Khanna, wife of Akshay Kumar and popularly known as Mrs. Funnybones, is famous for her witty column in the Times of India, her hilarious tweets, and her first published book (titled Mrs. Funnybones) which made her India's largest selling female author of 2015.
But Twinkle is showing no signs of slowing down just yet! Just a year after her first book, she launched her second book, titled The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad in a star-studded launch event.
The book launch was graced by the likes of Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Sonali Bendre, Sussanne Khan, and of course Twinkle's family—husband Akshay Kumar and mother Dimple Kapadia.
While talking about her book, Twinkle gave a special shoutout to Akshay. "This book is dedicated to him," she said. "He is my biggest cheerleader, my greatest support. He is a man who takes more pride in my work than anyone ever has, including my mother."
Twinkle then went on to jokingly talk about how her mother's reaction was "This junglee?!" when someone told her that her daughter is a good writer. She also mentioned how, as a kid, she was a "plump nerd", and when KJo asked her how it felt to go from that to a successful writer, questioned why plump nerds can't go on to become successful authors.
You tell 'em, girl!
