First off, let me begin by saying how unfair it is that even though the trailer for Tom Hardy's new FX series Taboo is doing the rounds in the web, the show itself - which Hardy stars in and devised the story for with his father Chips - won't be appearing on our screens until 2017.
The show sees adventurer James Delaney returning to England from a stint in Africa (annoyingly, the trailer doesn't reveal WHICH country in Africa, the second largest continent in the world, he was) only to gatecrash his dad's funeral with a plan to avenge the old man's death.
Aside from stripping down to his birthday suit for the programme, other reasons to tune in when the show finally hits BBC is to see Kiera Knightley's dad from Pirates of the Caribbean in period costume once more and catch Game of Throne's Oona Chapin alive and [assumedly] well.
Oh, and Steven Knight and Ridley Scott are executive producers.
