Anthony Vaccarello was named as the new Yves Saint Laurent creative director back in April, succeeding Hedi Slimane. Vacarello's first collection will debut in October for S/S'17. He was perviously creative direction at Versus Versace, so YSL are in safe hands.
He has described his new collection as sexy, stating 'it's always black, it's always sexy'.
Well, sexy is definitely the word for it. Instagram teasers released this week show 15, previously unknown, models nude. With snapshots of the model's collarbones, torsos and faces the teasers aren't giving much away. A fashion campaign without any fashion as of yet? Vacarello knows how to build suspense...
The Instagram for YSL has also been wiped clean, boldly showing that the house will go in a fresh new direction- one without Slimane.
