Peacefully protesting against the Dakota Access Pipeline in Sioux County with a group of other activists yesterday, The Fault In Our Stars actress Shailene Woodley was arrested for criminal trespassing.
Having live streamed the protest on Facebook, watch Shailene's arrest and the event leading up to it in her video above!
The 24-year-old actress is against the controversial pipeline that will transport oil between North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Illinois. The trouble with the pipeline is that it will be laid within half a mile of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe reservation. This means the tribe's main water source could be endangered along with some sacred sites.
"Alright I'm being arrested," Shailene says towards the end of her live stream. "Because I was trespassing like everyone. As soon as you guys asked me to leave, I left. She was down there, everybody was down there. I'm being arrested. I was down there with everyone else. I don't know what's going on? As soon as they came I left."

The star can be heard in the video saying "Why am I being arrested and no one else is? It's because I'm well-known, it's because I have 40,000 people watching."
It is later reported that a further 27 people were arrested for trespassing.
