How did Chain Candy come to be?
When I was in high school, it was hard for me to find clothing that was different from stores I’d shop at in Soho, New York. I felt like everything was the same. I was always a creative individual; I learned the basics of screen printing around the age of 14 & took sewing classes. I took my illustration & started to develop some garments that were personal for just myself.
When I was 17, Chain Candy was born providing made to order garments that are either custom printed or hand dyed, cut & sewn in my studio here in Brooklyn New York.
Where do you get your inspiration from?
I get my inspiration from blends of colors and life it’s self. I try to combine them both together for something almost everyone can relate to and won’t find it anywhere else.
What is your favorite piece from your collection available on Shopcade.com?
My favorite piece is my Go Away Pastel Ombre Sweatshirt. I love the colors and the coziness of the sweater, I always get complements and giggles when wearing it!
How would you sum up the Chain Candy customer?
I think the Chain Candy customer and I are the same. The fun out going person always wanting the rad pieces of clothing and jewelry in their closet.
Can you give us a clue about your next collection?
As fall is approaching the next collection will be including some awesome brand new iron on patches and jackets!
Tell us something no-one else knows about Chain Candy...
