Pippa Middleton is engaged to James Matthews (yup, Spencer Matthews' big bro), the pair are set to marry next year. The question on everyone's lips is what will Pippa wear?! After her incredible bridesmaid gown at the Royal wedding, it may be difficult to top.
David Emanuel, the co-designer for Princess Diana's wedding dress has put his two pence in stating "As long as it's the complete opposite of the Duchess of Cambridge- then she stands a chance. She's not a royal; she's not going to be a royal. And that's all I'm saying". Right, don't hold back David. Also, stands a chance against what? * eye roll *
The designer continued stating "I personally, would put her in something very soft, perhaps chiffon, with a train of course because it's dramatic. Possibly a little lace bodice, soft and fluid, I mean she's got a great shape. And I would say the complete opposite of Kate just so she makes her own statement really. Soft and pretty".
For the most part, we understand David's sentiment. It's Pippa's big day, she has a completely different style to Kate and we know she wouldn't mimic her sister's dress. Because no sisters would do that. However, if Kate Middleton's wedding dress wasn't soft and pretty I have no idea what is!
Having a look at the Couture'16 shows, wedding dresses have taken an ethereal turn. Elie Saab's creations are stunning, unique and full on show stoppers. Pippa would look amazing in a form fitting dress, with a spin. Whether that's embellishment or 3D floral detailing, we think Pippa will go for something with an edge.
David Emanuel was right when he said that she isn't a Royal, I agree but am going to take a nicer tone. Pippa isn't a Royal, therefore she doesn't have the pressure of conforming to Royal dress codes or expectations, we think she should go for it and wear whatever the hell she wants.
