Cara Delevingne admits going through a traumatic teenage battle with dark depression as a teenager all in the wake of the release of her book "Mirror Mirror". "I didn't know how to communicate my emotions. I was very ashamed of the way I felt. I had a very privileged upbringing, I was very lucky, I went to an amazing school".
More specifically, she was diagnosed with dyspraxia, which makes movement more difficult for her than usual. She also slammed her head into a tree in an attempt to stop the pain from depression as a child. Her book "Mirror Mirror" is about a group of teenagers struggling with personal issues. She says she felt it was her duty to write a book about those very same emotions she experienced during adolescence.
"That’ s what I want to be for teenagers, not necessarily a role model, but someone who has been through it and come out the other side," she admitted. We salute you Cara for your honesty!
