On the very last day of LFW, tired bloggers, buyers, editors and celebs piled into the dingy recesses of Brewer Street Car Park for the Toga show at 9am. As several of us witnessed the night before at Vin + Omi's after-party, this green juice downing crowd were probably way more exhausted from snapping pics for social than partying up a storm.
Wearily checking out Yasuko Futura’s second ever LFW show, we can no doubt expect some variation of the collection’s knitted flares, tulle skirts, studded dungarees and marabou feather coat hanging on high street rails come September.
Mother of Pearl kicked off at Claridge’s Hotel and showed love for high waisted garments, florals and sports luxe detailing. Soon after, the Christopher Raeburn presentation debuted a collaboration with Woolmark featuring upcycled military uniforms.
A neutral colour palette, slick tailoring, touches of leather and faux fur detailing dominated at the Amanda Wakeley show and with Hackney based Marques’ Almeida showing colourful, pillowy quilted coats we’re relieved to see designers creating clothes to shield even the skinniest of models
and fashionistas from the harsh, cold winter!
Later on at Hotel Cafe Royal, Emilio de la Morena showed his collection with plenty of coloured lace in classic cuts. Gracing the venue with their exalted presence, Daisy Lowe, Ella Eyre, Tallia Storm and a rumoured former girlfriend of Jude Law were in attendance.
