Today, faces both new and ostentatiously familiar (think Made in Chelsea dropout Kimberley Garner, topknot sporting model/dancer Ramario Chevoy and that lady with the orange tan who loves big hats) ducked in and out of the rain for a barrage of shows for Day 2 of London Fashion Week.
Taking to the busy streets of our capital first thing to make Fashion Scout’s Ones To Watch, Team Shopcade were treated to PVC touches by Fengyi Tan, Edda's monochrome trompe-l’oeil garments and the melting pot collaboration between Dian Pelangi, Nelly Rose and Odette Steele.
Next, RTW knitwear queen SABINNA gifted us hand crochet brooches which @lauraroberts
correctly predicted will have become a comeback accessory and @saharmahdavian1
hit up Julien Macdonald. There she witnessed the unveiling of his children’s clothing line with Mothercare as the show’s grand finale.
Running late AF, Ashley Isham’s AW16 show which we fought tooth and nail with the fash pack to grab a good view of - sorry not sorry - packed a fantastical punch with models sporting Monkey King headdresses and Phillis Cohen’s Face Lace. Oh, and the clothes weren’t bad either for those who want to know.
Eager to then spend the next hour of our day getting manicures done courtesy of The Body Shop, @cecegautier
and I were momentarily saddened when suddenly ushered by a disheveled PR exec into the Gallery Suite to witness Leaf Xia whose show began ON TIME.
headed to the Sadie Clayton presentation after taking in softly utilitarian looks and feathered textures at Judy Wu.
With more shows on the agenda tomorrow, Team Shopcade is READY!
