Today, team Shopcade hit up FELDER FELDER, Daks, Jean-Pierre Braganza, Paul Costelloe & PPQ to name but a few and spotted quite the few celebs rocking the FROW. We papped Millie Mackintosh and Jade from Little Mix at FELDER FELDER, Mollie King at Daks (before promptly being mowed down by a film crew trying to interview her as well) and Michelle Keegan & Georgia May Foote at Paul Costelloe.
Pretty star studded for day one, we’ll sure you’ll agree! But what of the catwalk, we hear you cry? Well, the 70s are going nowhere anywhere fast, with a bit of 60s mod thrown in for good measure, sheer panelling, masses of coloured fur, lashings of leather and a strong, striking colour palette of black and red leading the way for AW15.
My fave pick of the day has to be Paul Costelloe who sent his models down the runway in beautifully tailored trapeze coats and dresses in a multitude of colours, fabrics and patterns. The hair was awesome too; backcombed beehives, er yes please! Plus the models looked well, normal(!) in a collection that was easily transferrable to the high street come fall. So, to summarise what did we learn today? It’s February and therefore IT IS FREEZING.
I opted for a Spring mac, teamed with a denim dress and spent most of the day battling frostbite…. seriously I’m blue all over. Tomorrow is a day for many, many layers I feel. Also, portable chargers are a must because your battery dies by the second show and in my case this was as I spotted Millie Mackintosh on the FROW. Disaster. Finally, it’s better to do things in twos. My fashionable pal Lily was around to take the pics when my phone died, whilst I was able to take the notes = perfect partnership. Here’s our picks of the top pieces spotted on the runway, wearable now and available on Shopcade. God we’re good ;)
