So much going on in Kanye's world, so little time. It's been announced that Kanye is to take the reigns at Glastonbury as the headline act of Saturday night! With Foo Fighters as the headline on Friday and Sunday's big act yet to be revealed, the full line-up of 2015 won't fully be known to us until Spring.
Unsurprisingly, there's been a petition launched to STOP Kanye from performing at the festival. Called "Cancel Kanye West's headline slot and get a rock band", the petition reads: "Kanye West is an insult to music fans all over the world. We spend hundreds of pounds to attend glasto, and by doing so, expect a certain level of entertainment."
Bit harsh maybe? We'd say Kanye's entertaining, for sure!
On top of all this Glastonbury business, Kanye has revealed he will also be receiving an honorary Ph.D.! WHAT??? "I was a gifted artist since age five and on national competitions and went to art school," Kanye tells Clique, a French media outlet. "I'm actually getting an honorary doctorate on May 5 from the Art Institute of Chicago." Well done, Kanye! No slaving away in the library like the rest of us...
Back in the real world however, the well regarded art institution have yet to confirm if Kanye's boasts ring true. A spokesperson for the SAIC has said they have yet to finalise the list of honorary degree recipients for 2015.
In other Kanye news (yes, it takes up an entire page), the star congratulated wife Kim Kardashian on the premiere of the 10th season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians last night via Twitter. Sharing eight photos of Kim naked on his feed with various captions reading "I'M SO LUCKY", "CONGRATS BABY ON 30 MILLION TWITTER FOLLOWERS" and "CONGRATS BABY ON THE SHOW PREMIERE TONIGHT". - Scroll right to see his latest OMG tweet with Kim ;)
