WATCH the episode preview above for "The Battle of Bastards" next week in which Jon Snow battles Ramsay Bolton to take back Winterfell! Scroll down to read on for more episode highlights from "No One" and to steal the Waif's shabby chic style...
In last week's episode "The Broken Man" the sh*t really hit the fan for Arya Stark who was shanked by none other than the Waif (Faye Marsay) disguised as an old woman. In this week's episode "No One", Arya found her footing and turned to Lady Crane for help. The thespian bandaged Arya's wounds, fed her milk of the poppy (i.e. opium) and was promptly killed by the Waif who came to finish off Arya.
As expected, Arya prevails and slays the Waif with her trusty blade "Needle" but UNEXPECTEDLY, the final showdown between the two occurred off screen?!?? Like, why would HBO do this to us? We've seen Arya get beaten to a pulp by this stick/dagger wielding rag wearer so is it really too much to see her turn the tables and slice the Waif's face off?
Anyway, our favourite Stark sibling tells Jaqen in the Hall of Faces "A girl is Arya Stark of Winterfell and I'm going home," and promptly strides off to catch her boat back to the mainland.
Cersei Lannister gets told indirectly by King Tommen Baratheon that there will be no such thing as Trial by Combat in his new court. How will CleganeBowl happen now?
Brienne of Tarth is reunited with Jamie Lannister at Riverrun and it feels so...awkward? The two are on opposing sides of the political game and yet Jamie waves a schoolboy-like goodbye to Brienne as she and Podrick run away in a boat. She waves back.
